Ranger Academy is a prestigious institution of learning located on an asteroid somewhere in time and space. It was founded by Zordon at some unspecified point in his life and is now under the care of its Headmaster. The student body is very diverse, with a mixture of humans and aliens from across the universe and accepting of individuals of different cultures, gender identities and orientations.
The facility enrolls kids and teens for classes, though those younger than 16 years of age must have permission granted by a parent or legal guardian to attend and all students must be given an Academy Power Coin by an authorized member of the faculty to gain admission. Overview[]
School Term[]
A cadet goes through a four year period of education, with the freshman year being orientation and general studies, the freshmen spending each school day at a different campus to balance their studies and eventually attend a class for building their own Morpher.
This is followed by the Morphin Trials. The first of which is a rigorous test on Chromia where cadets seek out the Bandorian monks in the Zeo Chamber on Prism Peak and collect Spectracite. If they complete the trial and the Spectracite solidifies into a single color after they morph, the freshman cadets discover what color they are going to be and sent to their designated campus for studies and training. If a cadet fails to morph, they are held back for the next school year and until the Zeo Chamber opens again for them to attempt morphing again on Chromia. In the meantime, they have to take Trial Remediation classes to continue learning to morph.
In the sophomore year, the Cadets gain morphed forms and achieve the rank of Junior Ranger, they must then go on a quest to find their Zord and improve their morphing abilities and skills with their classmates.
In the junior year, the Junior Rangers will go off campus to travel through space for missions to test their capabilities and learn to work as a unit through teamwork.
Senior year is spent preparing the Junior Rangers to advance into their future roles as Power Rangers by giving them real assignments to protect the universe and exploring beyond the boundaries of time and space before graduating.
Despite the tremendous opportunities that the Academy presents, there is always a small possibility that enrollees will not survive and may be killed in the line of duty.
Uniforms[]
The Ranger Academy uniforms are designated by a diamond patch on the right arm with the Power Rangers thunderbolt to specify the position of those within its walls, with black and white patches indicating cadets and black patches that indicate the individual is a member of the school faculty or staff.
The uniforms themselves are also separated by cadets and faculty: Cadets wear a grey uniform long sleeve shirt that has a collar with white on the left sleeve and left side of the torso broken up by a zig zag line that resembles a streak of lightning and another Academy patch on the right breast of the shirt. The cadets wear black pants and white boots with the uniform shirt. Upon passing their first Morphin Trial and advancing to their new Chroma Campus, cadets receive a new uniform that has the white lines all over the shirt and boots in the color of their respective campus. Cadets can have the freedom to accessorize their uniform with one dress code appropriate item that matches their campus color, such as a red hair band or yellow gloves.
Faculty wear a long sleeve white shirt with a black collar and a portion of gray on the right with the zig zag line on the right side of the shirt and an identification patch on the right breast of the shirt. Faculty uniforms usually come with white pants and grey work shoes.

Locations[]
The Opalescent Dome[]
The freshman dormitory area and central building of the Academy, which houses everything that the cadets need. The building has a shuttle landing bay for arrivals and departures from the Academy, dorm rooms and an observation deck for stargazing. The Nexus Hall allows Power Rangers from across space and time to teleport to the school in person or appear as a video hologram and give inspirational lectures, lessons and speeches to the cadets.
The Teacher’s Lounge is also located in this area, though it is off limits to students.
Once a first year cadet passes the Morphin Trial, they can move into their designated campus area.
Chroma Campuses[]
The school has five different campuses with specialized classes for specific Ranger colors, though first year students have access to all of them until they pass their trial and finish their school year.
Red Campus[]
A campus dedicated to the nurturing of leadership and teamwork necessary for being a Red Ranger. The campus has an athletics program for fitness with basketball, rock climbing, an obstacle course and a gymnasium. The Chroma Chamber of the campus connects with the Red spectrum of the Grid, allowing cadets to receive lessons, advice and wisdom directly from legendary veteran Reds across Ranger history and beyond as their professors.
Blue Campus[]
The tech and science campus that encourages cadets to explore their curiosity and creativity and expand their knowledge. Classes include chemistry, geology, and environmental survival training. The Blue Campus also has a robotics club.
Yellow Campus[]
A campus partially dedicated to rescue training. The campus also features a gardening club. Cadets are trained for CPR procedures with dummies and how to perform water rescues with life preservers.
Black Campus[]
Black Campus is dedicated to testing the limits of cadets. Classes include criminal psychology and simulations of hostage situations to determine if cadets can save lives under pressure.
Pink Campus[]
Pink Campus is the facility that trains cadets to be Pink Rangers. Lessons include the basics on Interstellar and Temporal navigation, with Professor Jen Scotts providing quizzes to cadets on how to travel across time and space. The Chroma Chamber of the campus connects with the Pink spectrum of the Grid, allowing cadets to communicate with legendary Pink Rangers from across time and space.
Green Campus[]
A shuttered section of the school. An incident a decade prior to the events of the story saw a cadet get infected by Dark Specter and tainted the entire Green spectrum, an entire class of Junior Green Rangers was killed by the possessed cadet in a Astro Shuttle explosion. The Power Rangers were forced to permanently cut off all access to Green Morphin Grid connections or risk losing the entire Grid and Dark Specter taking over the universe. Cadet Rhianth as the Junior Red Ranger put a stop to Dark Specter’s rampage, but he was forced to kill his classmate who was possessed to do so. The Green Campus was breached by Tula, who wanted to find out what happened to her older sister, which allowed Dark Specter’s essence to be freed and roam the school.
Scotts Library and Archives[]
- "A universe of knowledge"
The Scotts Library and Archives holds a vast repository of information on Ranger history and a vast collection of information from across the universe readily available for cadets to use for their studies in the form of books or holographic data capsules. COMIC STORY- Ranger Academy Issue 2 The head archivist is Nika.
Guidance Office[]
The Guidance Office is located in the Pink Campus facility, serving as a place where students can openly speak about their problems and worries with the guidance counselor or even veteran Rangers who share their experiences to help the cadets. It also serves as the location of one of the Trial Remediation Classes for those who failed to morph after the first Trial, where cadets focus on dealing with emotional, social or mental issues that could be the cause of their inability to morph by speaking openly with others in their group and to the counselor, their parents or Professors.
While this part of the special support program is optional, it is encouraged by the faculty, especially since the peer pressure, insecurities and negative feelings of a cadet not achieving their goal should be addressed through empathy, understanding and rebuilding their confidence.
Cafeteria[]
A dining area that has a wide variety of cuisines to meet the dietary needs of humans and the variety of alien species. The cafeteria is open for all three meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner and even has a selection of desserts for cadets to enjoy including ice cream and cookies. However, the cafeteria is somewhat lax in security when closed, as some mischievous cadets can sneak out with a considerable amount of its snacks and desserts to share with their dorm mates or for their personal enjoyment.
Cadet Dorms[]
The living and sleeping quarters of cadets, which houses up to six in each dorm. The rooms feature three capsule style bunk beds, wall mounted tables with chairs and a bright lava lamp for nighttime lighting, a larger table with rolling office chairs and a functioning bathroom and shower near the door.
Observation Deck[]

Lake[]
Inside the Asteroid’s core is a large lake of water that has a natural source of Grid Energy, which the school uses to power the campuses. Cadets are also known to sneak in and go swimming in the lake. Despite the Grid Energy in the water, it doesn’t seem to be strong enough to harm individuals who swim in it.
Battle Matrix[]
The Battle Matrix is a highly advanced holographic training simulator dedicated to improving the combat ability and strategic decisions of cadets to better prepare them for real life battles out in the field as Rangers. It is contained inside some form of multi dimensional space, which is “bigger on the inside” as described by cadets. It is powered by an advanced A.I. engine that is also built into the latest of the Alpha series robots, Alpha-67. The simulations contain numerous scenarios, which allow cadets to create their own training programs and even virtually fight enemies from throughout Power Rangers history such as Goldar. The Battle Matrix also has a “emotional regulation mode” sub function which projects more calming simulations for relaxation, meditation or simply de-stressing after an intense training regimen. Cadets are required to have a guest pass for permission to enter, most likely for their own safety.
The Battle Matrix suffered a serious malfunction when Dark Specter took control of it by infecting its Grid power, attempting to kill Sage, Tula and Lindy with its safety protocols deactivated and manifesting a shadow of himself to attack the kids. Luckily, Sage found the courage to morph and both the Green and Red Junior Rangers were able to fend off the attacks until Lindy could deactivate the simulator and open the door. The teachers declared that the Battle Matrix could no longer be used due to the Grid infection and the entire area would be indefinitely locked down for quarantine.
Flight Simulator[]
A virtual pilot simulation room located somewhere between campuses, designed to test cadets on their performance in piloting, which will prepare them to handle operating spacecraft or their Zords.
Infirmary[]
A medical care facility somewhere on campus that tends to sick and injured cadets, with its vast resources capable of helping the various species of the student body with whatever ails them.
