Raise the Titanasaur is the forty-first episode of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, continuing the Lost Galaxy arc. The episode marks the last appearance of the monster Titanisaur.

Synopsis[]

Terra Venture is in danger of losing all power unless it gets out of the Lost Galaxy. Captain Mutiny unleashes his most destructive monster, the Titanisaur, and none of the Megazords are able to stop him. The Galaxy Rangers pull together and use every bit of their energy to blast the creature, but time is still running out for Terra Venture.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Kai telling Commander Stanton that the exhaust pressure on engine #4 was climbing into the red. Despite valiant efforts, Terra Venture explosively lost its #4 engine to overheating. The commander told Kai to bring the remaining engines to half thrust and after Damon appeared and apologized for the failure of engine #4, the commander told him that he knows he did his best and that if anyone would keep the remaining engines online, it's him. Stanton told Mike that if they lose another engine, they're lost.

At the beach, Barbarax proclaimed that this was the perfect spot before the Rangers arrived and told them to get out of here and that they were out of their league. After they battled the Swabbies, they were about to go after Barbarax, but Deviot attacked them from out of nowhere and told the rangers that he sees Barbarax has them feeling a little "low" and that it would only get worse for them and Leo said that he wouldn't bet on it and Deviot said that he would, prompting him and Barbarax to attack the rangers. When they heard rumbling, Deviot said to just wait till the rangers see what's in store for them and Barbarax agrees. After they didn't see anything from the ocean, Barbarax told them that they were about to see a demonstration of real power and Karone called him a blowhard. At this juncture, Captain Mutiny decides to set his Titanisaur against Terra Venture, so the rangers summoned their megazords to attempt to stop Titanisaur, but they were defeated easily. Before it could leave to attack Terra Venture, it too suffers from overheating, so it retreated to the sea to cool down. While the captain works to fix the problem, the Rangers hope to capitalize on it.

Back on Terra Venture, Maya told the others that once Titanisaur cools down, he'll be back and Leo said that it will or will not and that it could overheat again. Kai remembered Mutiny's Castle on Titanisaur's back and he thinks that might be the key to defeating him. Damon contacted Mike and asked him how the remaining engines are holding up and Mike said that the temperatures were down to normal and that he'll let him know if anything happens. Kai continued on with his plan by saying that if Titansaur does come back, they'll need to concentrate on the castle and try to get it to overheat again and that it will be his weakness. Karone said that the question isn't if Titansaur comes back, it's when.

Meanwhile at Mutiny's Castle, Barbarax asked Deviot how long till separation and Deviot told him that it will be very soon and then, Titansaur will attack. Barbarax told the swabbies to put their backs into unscrewing the bolt and when they've finally done it, Barbarax told Captain Mutiny that the bolt is out and that they're ready to disconnect and the captain told him to tell the swabbies to throw the lever. Mutiny sends Titanisaur out without his castle attached to it. The Rangers confront Titanisaur again when he's attacking the city, initially fighting him with the individual Galactabeasts, with little success until the monster is struck by the Lion Galactabeast's fire power. The rangers then formed the Galaxy Megazord which proved to be far more successful, with Titanisaur's tail being cut off by the Defender Torozord's axe and Stratoforce and Centaurus injuring Titanisaur with their combined attack, before the Galaxy Megazord finished him with its powered-up saber.

In the end, Terra Venture's #3 engine begins to overheat as well but this time, Damon is able to keep the colony's third engine stable. The engine crew celebrated, and after Kai told the commander that the temperature was returning to normal, Commander Stanton told him that the engine may have been fixed, but they were running out of time.

Cast[]

Errors[]

  • It was never explained how the Titanisaur crossed from the Ocean Dome to the City Dome.
  • The Swabbies were shown having to remove a huge bolt in this episode to detach the castle from Titanisaur; however, when Captain Mutiny detached the castle to assist Grunchor previously, the castle and Titanisaur separated instantly.

Notes[]

  • This marks the final appearance of the Stratoforce Megazord, Centaurus Megazord, Defender Torozord, and Galaxy Megazord in Sentai footage.
  • Final appearance of the Zenith Carrierzord.
  • This is the last episode to adapted to a different Gingaman episode rather than using stock footage.
  • The episode title is possibly a reference to the 1980 film, "Raise the Titanic".
  • The effects of the tainted fuel on Terra Venture are seen: two engines overheat, leading one to explode. Damon manages to cool down the other one, but Terra Venture is stated to not have much time left.
  • When the Rangers form the Megazord, Leo calls out for the Galaxy Megazord Saber despite them forming the Megazord at the time. He is also suddenly in his Lights of Orion form.

Quotes[]

Karone: The question isn't "if" Titanisaur will be back...it's "when".
