Quickspine was a sylph/mole-themed Sporix Beast in Power Rangers Dino Fury Season 2 working under Void Queen and the twenty-sixth Sporix Beast to awaken in the Power Rangers Dino Fury series.[1] He is the main antagonist of the Season 2 episode of Dino Fury "Things Unspoken".
History[]
Past[]
Over 65 million years ago, Quickspine and the other Sporix Beasts invaded Rafkon, the home planet of Zayto. Though he and his fellow Knights of Rafkon fought hard, the Sporix ravaged Rafkon and removed all traces of life from the planet. The Sporix then turned their attention to Earth but Zayto and the remaining Knights had managed to escape Rafkon and tracked the Sporix Beasts to Earth where they engaged them in battle with the help of the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Despite the Knights initially having the upper-hand against the Sporix, most of them grew enough in power over time to grow giant and force the Knights of Rafkon and their dinosaur allies to retreat. When all seemed lost however, the Morphin Masters arrived and bestowed the Morphin Grid's powers to Zayto and his followers, as the first Ancient Dino Fury Rangers which gave them the advantage they need to defeat the Sporix Beasts and seal them inside of their eggs.
Dino Fury[]
Quickspine was first seen teleporting with Mucus and an army of Hengemen to locate an item in Pine Ridge. The Green Ranger appeared along with the Red, Pink, Blue, Black and Gold Rangers, who morph into their Ranger forms. After taking out the Hengemen, the Rangers (minus the Green Ranger as she was after Mucus) try to battle this mole-like creature, but the monster was very fast, allowing him to avoid all of their attacks and subdue them with ease. After Mucus appeared, both she and Quickspine teleported away.
Back at the base, Void Queen was visibly annoyed when Quickspine returned empty-handed, to which he stated that the target was there before the Rangers appeared. Void King was furious as he states that Quickspine could move at high speeds yet he couldn't retrieve Carlos' key to steal the Sporix eggs. After Quickspine makes a suggestion to "buy a key from a key store", Void King grabs Quickspine and was about to make a beatdown on the mole Sporix until both Void Queen and Mucus step in and suggest giving him another chance.
Quickspine teleports to the training area where the Green Ranger and her father are along with an army of Hengemen. After Carlos calls the Dino Fury Power Rangers, Quickspine attempts to make a powerful strike on the Green Ranger, but the warden went in front and took the hard hit instead, dropping his key in the process, which the Beast quickly takes with ease all the while mocking the Green Ranger. The rest of the Dino Fury Rangers appear and as the Green Ranger takes her father to safety, the other Rangers morph and do battle with Quickspine after taking out the Hengemen. Though the beast had the upper hand at first, Ollie came up with idea to have Zayto morph into the Dino Knight Armor and use the Cushion and Mist Dino Keys to create a quicksand to trap the monster, allowing all the Dino Fury Power Rangers to get a clean shot on him with their Dino Fury Force. The Sporix Beast eventually grew giant, which cause the Rangers to summon the T-Rex Champion Zord, Mosa Razor Zord and the Ptera Freeze Zord to battle him. The Red and Gold Power Rangers then combine the three Zords to form the Primal Ultrazord and take on Quickspine. Despite Quickspine's speed, he was quite surprised to see how fast the Primal Ultrazord was and got pummeled by its sheer strength. The Primal Ultrazord sends the mole-like Sporix Beast into space, to which the Dino Fury Power Rangers then use the Primal Ultra Blast to take him out. Despite his defeat, he was caught and claimed by Void Queen while giving her the key, much to her satisfaction. TV STORY-Things Unspoken
Quickspine participates at the invasion of the Sporix during the final battle against the Rangers and the Rafkonians. He fights along with Junkalo and Shockhorn against the Rangers and the Rafkonians. They are defeated by them, their Sporix Eggs were used by Void Queen to create the Chimera-themed Sporix Beast, the Nemesis Beast, and they are imprisoned forever by Master Red, Blue and Green in a crystal after the Rangers' victories.
