The Dog, Runs!! (犬、走る!! Inu, Hashiru!!) is the eighth episode of Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. It reveals the backstory of Kakeru Shishi/GaoRed before he became a Gaoranger.
Synopsis
A run-in with Signal Org's mind-wiping powers has Kakeru returning to his former life. The rangers must decide whether they should have him return to the team or leave him be.
Plot
After he is hit by Signal Org's beam, Kakeru loses his memory of being a Gaoranger. He ends up in the care of Misaki, another veterinarian from Sakura Animal Hospital. Sae insists on letting Kakeru resume his previous life, and that he should be with his "true love" (who Sae assumes is Misaki).
However, Kakeru encounters Signal Org again. The other Gaorangers show up to protect their former leader from the monster, Tsuetsue and Yabaiba. Kakeru's dog Choco arrives with his G-Phone. In spite of his hesitation, Kakeru transforms into Gao Red. His memories return and he attacks Signal Org with the Evil Crushing Hundred Beast Sword. The team reunites and defeats the Org. Tsuetsue quickly revives the creature, and the Gao summon the Power Animals.
Gao King Spear finally kills Signal Org with Neck Thrust. Kakeru continues on as a Gaoranger, and he reveals that his "true love" was Choco.

episode 11, The Past Tied Together. - Signal Org's final line prior to his death is a traffic lesson involving only crossing the street on a green signal, similar to the traffic lessons done during the previews for Carranger.
