Putty Prime was the main antagonist of the New Green Ranger arc of the re-launched Power Rangers comic line by Boom! Studios.
History[]
After a failed attack by Pandamonium, Finster presents a new brand of Putty Patrollers called the Putty Piercers; Putties equipped with everything from giant bucked teeth with a horrendous under-bite, massive razor sharp claws, and bat-wings. The intended tactic is less "sneak and surprise" and more attack with full force and kill the with sure power. However, Lord Zedd points out that the Power Rangers deal with them so easily that they barely classify as a mild annoyance at this point so decides to take matters into his own hands and fuses all of the Putty Piercers together into the so-called Putty Prime.
As the Power Rangers enjoy a day at the fair below, Putty Prime arrives and starts demolishing fair stalls which forces the Power Rangers to morph and fight it. Deciding that it is just another nastier designed Putty, Tommy tries to jump in and impale it only to bounce off its surprisingly tough skin. Adam and Kimberly try aerial attacks but are smacked away and Rocky attempting to behead it with the Power Sword just gets his backhanded away into the sky. As the Power Rangers attempt to regroup, the new mysterious Mighty Morphin Green Ranger jumps in and slashes Putty Prime across the chest with his Dragon Dagger only to be smacked in the face and then fried using Putty Prime's hands. With Green down, the Rangers try to obliterate Putty Prime with their Blade Blasterss but it dodges and the entire crowd of people reveal themselves to be more empowered Putties (known as Chaos Putties). As the Putties attack the Power Rangers, Adam puts up a good fight against the Putties so Zedd selects him for some unspecified and sends Putty Prime to attack him with the monster ending up pile-driving the Black Ranger into the ground. It then electrocutes Adam, corrupting his vision and make him see his fellow Rangers as monsters and the surrounding Putties as Rangers. He delivers a pounding to the Power Rangers who restrain him but have to retreat before the Putty hoard as Zedd tells Putty Prime to prepare his army for an invasion of Angel Grove. Putty Prime does so and his Putties launch an invasion, one nearly killing Bulk until Candice saves him and Skull.
Deciding that enough is enough, Zedd stands outside the Moon Palace before enlarging Putty Prime to force the Power Rangers into a confrontation. The Power Rangers are forced to summon the Thunder Megazord and White Tigerzord to do battle with Putty Prime. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 3
With their power levels in the green, the Power Rangers close in on Putty Prime who is motionless but it proves to be a ploy by Lord Zedd to get them in close for a trap. Suddenly, it backhands the White Tigerzord away and launches its hand at the Thunder Megazord which wraps around the formation's face and fries its power circuits which causes it to fall. As the Chaos Putties swarm over the downed Megazord, Putty Prime tries to use its hand attack again but the White Tigerzord dodges and slashes it across the stomach only to take a devastating blast of energy in return. Tommy calls Zordon who suggests that they retreat and regroup but the Dragonzord swiftly arrives and bombards Putty Prime with missiles. Unfortunately, Zedd has come to Earth and blasts both the White Tigerzord and Dragonzord down which forces Zordon to teleport them back to the Command Center before Putty Prime can smash the White Tigerzord's face in. With the Power Rangers out of the city, Putty Prime stands triumphant as Zedd encases the entire city in a giant energy dome. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 4
Even with the main six Power Rangers gone, the Green Ranger (now revealed to have been Kimberly's ex-boyfriend Matthew Cook) resumes the fight against Putty Prime and smacks it hard enough to make it bleed. With Putty Prime down and out, the White Tigerzord and Dragonzord try to combine but are blown apart from each other by the forcefield around the city. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 5
Personality[]
As with all Putty Patrollers, Putty Prime was a very unintelligent and feral monster. Unlike normal Putties however, it didn't even speak in roars and growls and was completely silent. Above all else, Putty Prime was extremely violent and had a penchant for smashing things with absolute prejudice.

Notes[]
- Putty Prime's ability to literally throw its hand at its enemies was similar to what General Peluso could do.
- The main difference however was that Putty Prime's hand attack had a practical purpose (destroying their power sources) whereas Peluso's was merely a form of restraint.
