Power Rangers Roleplaying Game is a tabletop role-playing game (RPG) from Renegade Game Studios.

Core Rulebook

The Power Rangers Roleplaying Game uses Renegade Game Studios' Essence20 system, the same system used for their other Hasbro-licensed role-playing games, including Transformers, G.I. Joe and My Little Pony. All licensed roleplaying games under the Essence20 system are considered to be cross-play compatible regardless of franchise. Welcome to Night Vale became the first licensed property not owned by Hasbro to use the Essence20 system.

Monster and foot soldier miniatures from Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid are also considered to be within the right size-scale to be compatible with the Power Rangers Roleplaying Game.

Promotion

Renegade Game Studios utilized several methods of publicly demonstrating and promoting the sale of the Power Rangers Roleplaying Game.

Day of Destiny

To demonstrate and promote the sale of the Power Rangers Roleplaying Game Hasbro and Renegade Game Studios produced a tabletop role-playing game web series titled Day of Destiny. It was streamed on Twitch and is also available in audio format as a podcast. Unlike Power Rangers HyperForce, the story of Day of Destiny is considered non-canonical to Power Rangers lore.

Play Renegade

The Play Renegade program is a grassroots sign-up campaign launched by Renegade Game Studios as a means of promoting the Essence20 system and World of Darkness system games by providing Game Master and Storyteller support with free adventures and stories which can be run at local public events. New adventures and stories are made available in six months intervals. When a new round of adventures and stories releases, the previous round of stories and adventures become available for sale to the general public exclusively as digital PDF releases.

A second physical print run release corrected various grammatical errors and made several refinements to the rules from the first physical print run.

Sourcebooks

Sourcebooks provide supplemental content to the Core Rulebook that adds depth and variety to the game play. All sourcebooks are available both as a physical book release and as a digital PDF file.

Across the Stars

Across the Stars gives your Power Rangers Roleplaying Game stories all players and GMs need for space travel and to face-off against foes from the Machine Empire, Troobian Empire, Pirate Queen Divatox's marauders, and the forces of the United Alliance of Evil! Lord MindWaveZ Must Be Stopped!

As Power Rangers, G.I. JOEs, and Autobots rapidly teleport to a planetoid at the crossing point of multiple dimensions, confusion sets in. The heroes turn to their bravest for support, their brightest for answers, and their leaders for guidance.

Worlds Collide: Battle for the Multiverse is the first Essᴇɴᴄᴇ20 multi-table mega event. Groups of Player Characters, each at their own table with their own Game Master, work together toward the same goal. At the same time, a Master of Ceremonies oversees the event, tracking their victories and announcing their progress. Each team of heroes chips away at the defenses of one ultimate evil threat until they punch through and can face this villain head-on.

You can host a Worlds Collide: Battle for the Multiverse event with as few as two tables, or as many as ten! Conversion charts and instructions depending on event size are included in the digital PDF.

This local adventure is designed for a team of Power Rangers to help out with a local problem that attracts the attention of Rita Repulsa. Together, they face an example of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd’s infamous “monsters of the moment”—where they take one piece of a current situation and make it worse by adding a monster made from alien sorcery or insidious science.

Repulsive Developments

This adventure is designed for a Power Rangers team working to protect the city of Angel Grove, California after the previous Rangers were called to deal with threats beyond Earth. These Rangers are still relatively fresh to their new experiences as Rangers, having just earned their Zords.
