Power Rangers (2017 movie team)

The Power Rangers are a team of five heroes who fight to save the Earth from the evil Rita Repulsa.

Team History[]

Power Rangers 2017 - October 9 2016 — The Rangers discover the Power Coins.

Betrayal and Defeat in Cenozoic Era[]

An elite inter-planetary taskforce of six members, the Power Rangers are responsible for the safety of all life on Earth by guarding the Zeo Crystal, an artifact which sustains Earth's inhabitants. The Power Rangers of the Cenozoic Era would meet their downfall at the hands of one of their own, Rita Repulsa, who betrayed her brotherhood to claim the Zeo Crystal's power for her own desire of ruling the universe. Rita herself would meet defeat as the last surviving member, Zordon, ordered a meteor strike to Alpha 5, which kills him and sends Rita to the depths of the ocean, right before he buried the Power Coins, the source of their power.

Rebirth[]

In the present day, in the town of Angel Grove, events would align to have the Power Coins unearthed once more. Former high school football star, Jason Scott would arrive in the mines with Billy Cranston, an autistic nerd from detention, after Jason defended Billy in detention and Billy deactivated Jason's ankle monitor, with former queen bee Kimberly Hart and two other students, Zack Taylor and Trini Kwan discovering the Power Coins after Billy opened the mines with explosives. Taking them, they would eventually discover their superhuman abilities like surviving a train collision and other things. They would eventually reunite to understand their change, eventually discovering Alpha 5 and Zordon in an ancient spaceship, who tells them of their purpose and the danger of Rita, who intends on destroying Earth by claiming the Zeo Crystal using Goldar. Unbeknownst to them, Rita had awoken and was taking gold to reassemble Goldar.
