Using the Avataro Gears of Legend Sentai, Oni Sister has access to the powers of any Yellow Ranger of her choosing.[2]However, not all of Oni Sister's Avatar Changes match her gender, often meaning that when using a male ranger's powers (which is quite often due to her color), she is often forced to fight with a non-skirted suit.

Ranger Key[]
Oni Sister Ranger Key
The Oni Sister Ranger Key (オニシスターレンジャーキー OniShisutā Renjā Kī) is Haruka's personal Ranger Key released as part of the "Ranger Key Memorial Edition - Anniversary Heroes and Donbrothers Set". It is unknown if it will appear in a future crossover. Of course as with all Ranger Keys, should it exist, it would be able to transform one, i.e. Gokai Yellow, into Oni Sister.[7]

- Oni Sister is based on the Oni, the antagonists from the Momotaro legend, who lived on an island where they captured humans and enslaved them whilst robbing them of their treasures.
- Modern culture has diminished the Oni’s role as a purely evil mythical creature, allowing new interpretations of them to be made. Some Japanese buildings have oni figures on them as a symbol of protection, similar to gargoyles installed on Gothic-style cathedrals. This is acknowledged by Jin Momoi at one point.
- Due to Oni Sister's club weapon prop being extremely heavy, suit actress Ayumi Shimozono trained to swing one at the batting cages.[8]
