Synopsis
During the grand coronation ceremony of Gira as king, the door to "Hakabaka, the Land of the Dead" is suddenly opened! What unprecedented ordeal awaits Gira and the other six kings in the Land of the Dead? Will the young kings be able to return to their original world? And will Gira, the "self-proclaimed king," become the true King of Shugodom!?
Plot

At the Caucasuskabuto Castle, Gira Husty looks up at the statue of the founder of Shugodom, still unable to believe that he is going to become a king. Jeramie Brasieri asks him what kind of king he wants to become, but Gira is unable to answer. Rita Kaniska and Douga arrive to inform him that the coronation ceremony is ready. As the other kings and their retainers witness the ceremony along with people from all the kingdoms, the messenger of Hakabaka, the land of the dead, appears. Gira recognizes the messenger as Devonica, a childhood friend from his orphanage who disappeared before her 20th birthday years ago.
As part of the coronation process, the five kings follow the messenger to the afterworld to see the first king of Shugodom. Hymeno Ran and Kaguragi Dybowski immediately disappear after they arrive, while Gira, Yanma, and Rita get attacked by the ghosts of their former enemies. Reiniol Husty appears and easily eliminates the ghosts in one hit. He takes Gira and Devonica to his throne room but leaves the other two behind, much to their irritation.
Devonica reveals that she belongs to a clan that has served Reiniol for centuries, and it was her duty to observe Gira as a child in order to report back to the first king. Reiniol declares that Gira is too kind to rule the kingdom. He then performs a special rite to sacrifice Devonica and return to the living realm to lead Shugodom once again. However, Gira intervenes to protect his friend and escapes with her.
At the same time, Yanma sets up a workstation to contact Shiokara. Rita is paralyzed in fear by the ghosts of the Gokkan people. Kaguragi confronts Iroki, the previous lord of Tofu whom Kaguragi overthrew. Hymeno reunites with her parents, who suspiciously suggest her to stay with them in this world. Thanks to their retainers, who arrive in Hakabaka by temporarily killing themselves with the lie-detecting machine, the kings manage to break free from the dead's bewitchment and reaffirm their resolution of going back to the living world.
Meanwhile, Reiniol teleports both Gira and Devonica back to his throne room to resume the rite, but Gira intervenes once again. Although Devonica insists that she agrees to be sacrificed, Gira accuses Reiniol of creating a world of suffering that has lasted for 2000 years. He declares that he will become a king who will protect the small happiness of his people. As Gira transforms into Kuwagata Ohger, Reiniol also transforms into his own monstrous form, and they fight.
Although the founder of Shugodom dominates the battle, Devonica decides to betray him and passes Gira the OhgerCrown, declaring that she wants to live. The other four kings arrive, along with Jeramie, who claims that spider thread can be used to go to the underworld. The six warriors transform and engage Reiniol in combat. A horde of Sanagim ghosts is summoned to stall the Rangers, but they manage to defeat them all.
Reiniol declares that Gira cannot become a hero nor bear the burden of the 2000 years of history, but the King-Ohgers unanimously reject his notion, and Gira proclaims that he will embrace his path as an evil king instead of history or heroism. The Rangers launch an all-out attack in unison, successfully overpowering and defeating the deceased king. Reiniol then de-transforms and gives Gira his approval, advising him that the king must protect his people.
As the Rangers are about to depart back to the living world, Reiniol reveals to Gira that Rcules Husty is still alive, and once he finishes his business with his brother, he will reveal to Gira the secret of the world. The coronation ceremony is resumed, and Gira is officially crowned as the new king of Shugodom. Devonica is then seen enjoying a piece of cake.
In the post-credit scene, Reiniol is visited and attacked by a mysterious figure. Although the founder is determined to get his revenge, he is easily disintegrated by an energy beam. The figure is revealed to be a bored Dagded Dujardin.
Continuity and Placement
- The film takes place during the events of episode 23, taking place after King Caucasuskabuto's battle against Deathblow Shogun Daigorg, and before Gira's coronation as king of Shugodom.
