Nuppefuhofu (ヌッペフホフ Nuppefuhofu, 32 & 53): A Youkai who can steal people's faces simply by licking their faces.
Character History
The wings on its back also seemed to act like a jack-o-lantern style mask which it used to cover its face. One of the faces he stole was Saizou's, however, he and all the other victims' faces were restored once Nuppefuhofu was killed by Super Kakure Daishogun. TV STORY-Ep. 32: Don't Lick Me, Face Thief
Nuppefuhofu reappeared, along with all the other defeated Youkai, within the Seal Door after their master Daimaou was finally contained there by the Kakurangers. Reeling that they were now powerless in captivity, the Youkai all vowed that they would one day be reborn and regain their power, cursing humanity. TV STORY-Final Ep.: Sealing!!

Behind the Scenes
- Nuppefuhofu is based on the Nuppepo, a yokai resembling a walking mass of pungent flesh. However, the mythological version is harmless. The concept of stealing faces may instead be based on the nopperabo, a faceless species of yokai known for stealing faces, which Nuppepo is believed to be a type of or at least a distant relative of. While a nopperabo is a Youkai featured in Kakuranger, it does not steal faces.
- Nuppefuhofu's episode was meant to be the 23rd episode of Kakuranger and was advertised as such in Monthly Newtype magazine prior to airing. However due to the staff's decision to do the arc that preceded this one, it was held back to become the 32nd episode with certain elements refilmed (such as Nuppefuhofu fighting Super Kakure Daishogun instead of Muteki Shogun); however stills of the previous intention, including Nuppefuhofu fighting Muteki Shogun (which was published in a Televi-kun publication), still exist.
