No. 5-kai! A Sushi Tournament! (握り握られスシ大会！, Nigiri Nigirare Sushi Taikai!) is the fifth episode of Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. This episode features the debut of both the Kyuranger and Ryusoulger Sentai Gears.

Synopsis

The Zenkaigers now have all five members. However, Kaito suddenly hears the names of his parents being muttered by Vroon, who used to clean for Tojitendo. Could this mean that his parents are trapped by the Tojitendo? Sushi World suddenly appears as he wraps Juran and Kaito up in a maki roll. Kaito starts to feel guilty about being unable to help the others who are getting trapped as sushi. Kaito was distracted by the thought of his parents being out there that he was unable to help those in front of him when he had the chance. It was then that Juran decided to give Kaito some words of encouragement. Meanwhile, the remaining Zenkaigers attempt to carry out a deadly rescue operation. However, as they prepare to engage their plan, the Captain of Tojitendo, Barashitara stands before them. Who will emerge victorious from this conflict: the Zenkaigers or Tojitendo?

Plot

Immediately following from the last episode, Vroon explains he only heard Kaito's parents' names and therfore can't confirm it was actually them. Kaito and Yatsude both suffer from insomnia that night, with Yatsude saying she'd always beleived they'd come back someday; having this news is somehow worse than all the time of hearing nothing. Kaito suddenly has an idea to have Vroon take him to where he first appeared in the city when escaping the Tojitendo. Kaito's efforts to use that gate himself, however, are in vain.

• Kaito says "Yoshaa Lucky!" after using the Kyuranger Gear and uses the Ryusoul Ken to destroy the sushi rotating belt. Tomokazu Seki's recording of the line is also present in this scene.

• Despite Vroon being placed behind Magine, in the next scene he is in front of her.
• When the others yell "HEY" at Kaito, the trays between them briefly disappear.

• As part of Super Hero Time, this episode aired alongside Kamen Rider Saber episode 29, Chapter 29: At That Moment, the Swordsman Made His Move.
• Unlike past examples, Juran and Vroon's eye parts are replaced with physical drowsy/closed alternate parts to give the illusion of sleeping. Gaon remained still enough for his eyes to be digitally edited.
