Nkosopa (ンコソパ ) is a nation of technology in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.[1]
Overview[]
Nkosopa is one of the five kingdoms on the planet of Chikyu. It is a technologically advanced country located northwest of Shugodom. In contrast to the other four countries, the population's clothing and structures are futuristic in nature, as is the democratic system of government, in which the people are free to elect a representative who would become president that would make any and all decisions in the public's interest. The metropolis is located in a huge mountain range optically disguised as mountains.
The capital, Peta, is spread out in a circle. The national flag is a dragonfly with an acute angle.
Yanma Gast himself is personally involved in the production of a wide range of equipment and facilities throughout the country, and the level of technological development can be observed in the fact that every citizen has a laptop computer. Shugodom has long employed the nation as a "subcontractor" due to its residents' superior technical skills. However, by the present day, most of its citizens, including Yanma himself, despise Shugodom for using the former to do the latter's dirty work.
While there are slums in the kingdom, the wealth disparity is not as wide compared to that of Shugodom. Furthermore, it appears that the society is meritocratic in nature, with people rising from the bottom to become president depending on their abilities. In the event of a state of emergency, everyone can be seen assisting one another since they are recognized as equals regardless of individual position.
History[]
According to Jeramie Brasieri, shortly after the five heroes defeated the Bug Naraku 2000 years ago, they could not agree on who would be the king of all Chikyu and a fight broke among them. One of the heroes, Reiniol Husty, challenged the others to each of their special talents and won. He split Chikyu into five kingdoms, one of them being Nkosopa. Following the Wrath of God 15 years ago, the king at the time had fled the decimated N'kosopa. For a time, the kingdom was overran by Suji's criminal organization. His deeds were diabolical, including distributing counterfeit money, bribing the police, and assaulting ordinary citizens. Yanma Gast, a boy from the slums rose to the ranks and became the king, rebuilt the kingdom with his technological knowledge. Some time after Naraku King Desnaraku VIII's defeat, Yanma was imprisoned for the unauthorized monopolizing of world energy to build his supercomputer, and Shiokara became a regent in his place. When Chikyu was attacked by the Uchu and his people were threatened by Goma Rosalia, Yanma broke out of the prison and reclaimed his rightful position once again.
