The Ninja Steel Megazord is the main Megazord of the Ninja Rangers.
Overview[]
The Ninja Steel Megazord was formed when one of the Power Rangers spun their Zord Stars in the Ninja Star Blade. Upon forming it, the Zords would run forth before the Robo Red Zord mounted the Dragon Zord which ejected its wings and tail before folding out its lower half to form a fist. Landing on the Nitro Zord, the Zord's front would fly off to become a fist whilst the back of the Zoom Zord folded in to become legs and the Kodiak Zord merged into it. It would then "stand up", the Nitro and Dragon Zord arms fusing with the Nitro Zord's body before they all fuse together to form the body. Finally, the Robo Red Zord would enter the Nitro Zord's body which served as a pilot seat whilst the giant Robo Red Zord Star formed the head.
By default however, the Ninja Steel Megazord had no power and required Ninja Master Mode (later Ninja Super Steel Mode) to operate. Doing so also granted the Rangers access to the Ninja Master Blade and later the Ninja Super Steel Blaster via the Master Blade which were used to power up the finishers. Besides its default combination, the Ninja Steel Megazord was able to assume different forms and powers by swapping out its primary components for auxiliary components. However, instead of swapping out limbs, the Ninja Steel Megazord swapped out its control unit with the Robo Red Zord replacing one of the arms (unless the Robo Red Zord was busy fighting off a monster) while the auxiliary Zord took its place in the pilot seat.
In its default formation with the Robo Red Zord as its control unit, the Ninja Steel Megazord was armed with the Dragon Sword (formed from the Dragon Zord's tail) and the Dragon Shield (formed from its wings mounted on the Megazord's left arm). It could also launch the Robo Red Zord at the enemy to either slam through them or run around them to make them dizzy. Its finisher was the Master Slash where it charged up the Dragon Sword with yellow energy and hit the enemy with a triple energy slash.

History[]
When Cosmo Royale gigantifies Ripperat, his chainsaws malfunctioned, which allows Mick Kanic to give them their Zord Stars and summon the Ninja Steel Zords for the first time. The Robo Red Zord initially overwhelms Ripperat with his abilities but had to switch places with the Nitro Zord when kunai are thrown and the monster is bombarded by spikes. The Zoom Zord then unleashes shuriken but Sarah's poor choice of wording caused the Kodiak Zord to catch them, allowing Ripperat to overwhelm the Robo Red Zord. However, Preston and the Dragon Zord defeat him with its Fire Breath and they obliterate Ripperat with the Ninja Blasters' Ninja Blast. TV STORY-Forged in Steel
After the Element Stars defeat Spinferno, the Galaxy Warriors audience opts not to enlarge him so Cosmo sends down the first Skullgator. The Rangers summon their Ninja Steel Zords but both the Dragon Zord's fire breath and the Robo Red Zord are ineffective against it until Calvin uses the Nitro Zord's boulder launch to overwhelm him. However, even stabbing it in the nose doesn't help so they decide to unite the Zords into the Ninja Steel Megazord for the first time. With it, the Skullgator is completely overwhelmed and destroyed by the Master Slash. TV STORY-Live and Learn
After Brody and Preston destroy Slogre, he is gigantified and they form the Ninja Steel Megazord to combat him. It has the upper hand at first but Slogre takes flight and blasts them. Brody attempts to use his Robo Red Zord Sky Sprint to take Slogre on head first but is hit by the mist attack and beaten down by the monster. Seeing his friend in trouble, Preston uses his Dragon Zord to blast Slogre and save the Robo Red Zord and Brody. The Rangers then try out the new Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation and obliterate Slogre with the the Dragon Lightning Final Attack. TV STORY-Presto Change-O
After Tangleweb is destroyed by the Ninja Battle Morphers and enlarged, the Rangers summon their Zords. They have the upper hand at first but Tangleweb uses his secondary legs to push back the Robo Red Zord and uses his webbing breath on all of the Rangers' Zords. However, Mick gives the Brody a new Zord; the Rumble Tusk Zord which allows Brody to break free and ride on it. Tangleweb attempts to use his webbing breath on the Zord but the Rumble Tusk Zord easily sucks it up into its trunk using Suction Mode (much to Tangleweb's shock) and blows it back at the monster while allowing Brody to also free the other Rangers and their Zords. Tangleweb isn't finished yet so the Red Ranger transformed Rumble Tusk into its Ninja Zord Mode, which has the upper hand thanks to its Cannon Blast and obliterates Tangleweb's back legs. The new Zord then combines with the Ninja Steel Megazord to form the new Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord, which performs a beat-down on the spider monster. With the Double Axe Final Attack, Tangleweb is destroyed for good. TV STORY-Drive to Survive
After short-circuiting Hacktrack and destroying him together, he is enlarged and flies away so they form the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation. However, the Megazord can't follow when Hacktrack goes into space so Mick creates and gives the Rangers a Zord Star that allows them to summon the new Astro Zord. They combine with it to form the Astro Ninja Steel Megazord and confront Hacktrack on the Moon, where they destroy him with the Cosmic Blast Final Attack. TV STORY-Hack Attack
After the Rangers and the new Levi Weston send Ripcon packing, Cosmo sends down a Skullgator so they form the Ninja Steel Megazord with Levi joining them in Ninja Master Mode. Unlike its predecessor, this Skullgator proves more than a match for the Megazord, shaking it up pretty badly just by blocking a swing. Luckily, Sarah has just finished the new Ninja Clone Star, which duplicates the Megazord five times over and they quickly overpower him with a massive strike from all four. Although a single slash from the Skullgator destroys them in puffs of smoke, it is crippled by the Robo Red Solo Strike and destroyed by the Master Slash although Brody lets Levi use the Ninja Master Blade this time. TV STORY-Gold Rush After Madame Odius betrays Ripcon and Galvanax has him gigantified by Cosmo, the Rangers summon the Ninja Steel and Bull Rider Megazords to finish him and his Skullgators off. The Megazords overwhelm the monsters and Levi destroys the Skullgators with the Rodeo Rapid Blast. However, they merge into a giant sword which Ripcon uses to overpower the Megazords and take them down with a single slash. However, Brody has the idea to combine their Megazords like they did their fighting power before and uses the Ninja Fusion Star to fuse them into the Ninja Fusion Zord. With the new powerful Megazord combination, Ripcon was no match and was destroyed by the Ninja Fusion Zord Master Slash Final Attack. TV STORY-Family Fusion
The Ninja Steel Zords are rendered unsummonable after Galvanax melts the Power Stars and consumes them to power up. With the Ninja Nexus Prism burning itself out to destroy him, the Zord Star is unable to be recreated. TV STORY-Galvanax Rises
When Madame Odius restores the Ninja Nexus Prism, Mick Kanic recreates the Power Stars in the Prism which Levi later uses to help defeat Deceptron. TV STORY-Moment of Truth
After the Rangers destroy Rygore, Madame Odius creates the Foxatron, which rips apart the Ninja Steel Ultrazord so the Rangers combine the Master Slash and Rodeo Rapid Fire. However, the attacks are completely ineffective and both Megazords are obliterated by the Fox Blade Slash with the Zord Stars being burnt out and rendered unusable. TV STORY-Caught Red-Handed
Mick Kanic starts repairing the Zord Stars but it will take longer than the one day until Foxatron is re-powered. Fortunately, three mysterious figures give them access to the Ninja Blaze Megazord, which allows them to destroy it. TV STORY-Outfoxed
After the Galactic Ninjas are wiped out, the rest of the Zord Stars were fixed. They are later used to destroy Dreadwolf. TV STORY-Fan Frenzy
Despite the destruction of Galaxy Warriors, Sledge's Crew assumes control of the Warrior Dome and establish their own TV series so the Prism returns to Earth. When Snow Fright is destroyed and gigantified, the Rangers form the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation, Bull Rider Megazord, and Lion Fire Megazord. Snow Fright freezes them into a giant snowman but they are able to form the Ninja Steel Ultrazord, which destroys her. Ever since the Ninja Nexus Prism left Earth after the utter destruction of Galaxy Warriors and Sledge's Crew, the Rangers were unable to summon the Ninja Steel Megazord. As such, they remain stored in their hiding places. TV STORY-The Poisy Show
Components[]
Robo Red Zord[]
The Robo Red Zord is Ninja Steel Red's personal Zord, who looks like his companion Redbot and a giant robot ninja. When piloting the Robo Red Zord, the Red Ranger perches on the left shoulder. The Robo Red Zord has a variety of different ninjutsu techniques at its disposal, allowing it to create hidden traps or passages or deploy an invisibility cloth to mask his presence. It is also extremely nimble and fast, allowing it to move and attack at great speeds, run up the side of buildings, and be agile enough to leap-frog over enemies.
The Robo Red Zord forms the control unit in the Ninja Steel Megazord's default combination and if needed, can temporarily separate from the formation to surprise attack the opponent. When other Zords take over its position in the Ninja Steel Megazord's cockpit, Robo Red Zord can become the new formation's left or right arm. In its first appearance, it's seen behind a building-sized rotating panel.
Appearances: NS Episodes 2-14, 16-19, 21, 22; SNS Episodes 2-8, 12, 13, 17-19, 21, 22
Dragon Zord[]
- For the Zord used by the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger, see Dragonzord.
The Dragon Zord (dubbed Drago by Preston) is Ninja Steel Blue's European dragon-themed Zord which can both fly and breathe flames in its attack. It is inspired by Preston's dragon suit and his penchant for magic. When piloting the Dragon Zord, the Blue Ranger mounts himself just behind its head.
When forming the Ninja Steel Megazord, the Dragon Zord becomes the left arm, with its tail becoming the sword and its wings combining into the shield. When forming the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation, it switches places with the Robo Red Zord, becoming the new control unit while its tail and wings attach to the Megazord.
In its first appearance, the Dragon Zord was shown riding a giant blue kite in place of his wings before flying off on its own.
Appearances: NS Episodes 2-14, 16-19, 21; SNS Episodes 2-8, 10, 12, 13, 17-19, 21, 22
Nitro Zord[]
The Nitro Zord is Ninja Steel Yellow's personal dump truck-themed Zord, named and decorated after his truck, which he calls "Nitro". When piloting it, the Yellow Ranger usually positioned himself above the cabin on the rim of the bucket. The Zord is equipped with a pair of manipulator arms at the rear end of its bucket which it uses to toss its caltrops at its opponent's feet to make them stumble.
It can also carry a payload of boulders in its bucket which its manipulators can throw at the opponent or perform a team attack with the Ninja Steel Yellow Ranger where it spins around with the Yellow Ranger holding onto one of its manipulators before tossing him into the opponent. For a defensive method, the Zord can initiate an attack where it lifts up a corner of the ground that turns into a piece of tatami floor before returning to normal.
When forming the Ninja Steel Megazord, the Nitro Zord becomes the torso, right arm, and cockpit for the control unit. When an auxiliary Zord takes Robo Red Zord's place in other Ninja Steel Megazord formations, the Zord arm will be swapped with the Robo Red Zord, with the said right arm being stored on the Ninja Steel Megazord's back. However, if the Robo Red Zord is occupied with his own problem, the said extra arm would take his place.
Appearances: NS Episodes 2-14, 16-19, 21; SNS Episodes 2-8, 12, 13, 17-19, 21, 22
Kodiak Zord[]
The Kodiak Zord is Ninja Steel White's dog-themed Zord, which looks like her dog Kody. When piloting it, the White Ranger perches on the dog's back. The Kodiak Zord can attack with the kunai (throwing dagger) that it holds in its mouth and can also emit high-frequency howls. Unlike the other Zords, which emerge from hiding places when summoned, the Kodiak Zord emerges from the Zoom Zord's back portion.
During the Ninja Steel Megazord formation, the Kodiak Zord forms the left shin.
Appearances: NS Episodes 2-14, 16-19, 21; SNS Episodes 2-8, 12, 13, 17-19, 21, 22
Zoom Zord[]
The Zoom Zord is Ninja Steel Pink's magnetic levitation train-themed Zord, patterned somewhat after her hoverboard. When piloting it, the Pink Ranger positions herself above the cockpit. The Zord attacks by manifesting the Power Stars from its visor and launching them at the enemy. It can also travel upside down in order to bypass obstacles. It also carries the White Ranger's Kodiak Zord into battle which it deploys from its anterior section, making it an arguable carrier Zord.
As the Ninja Steel Megazord, the Zoom Zord forms the legs and hips.
Appearances: NS Episodes 2-14, 16-19, 21; SNS Episodes 2-8, 12, 13, 17-19, 21, 22
Additional Formations[]
Empty[]
This formation is used when the Robo Red Zord uses his Sky Sprint or Sky Strike attack or when the Megazord changes forms.
This was later shown again when the Robo Red Zord and Ninja Steel Red exit the Megazord to free the Robo Rider Zord from Cosmo's control, thus leaving the Ninja Steel Megazord unpiloted until Ninja Steel Blue summoned the Astro Zord. It was also shown when the Robo Red Zord ejected out of the Ninja Steel Megazord so Lion Fire Red can attack a monster after the Megazord ejected out of the the Ninja Steel Ultrazord.
Leaving the Ninja Steel Megazord in its empty mode is always a risky maneuver as the lack of a control unit leaves it unable to move or attack.
Appearances: NS Episodes 4, 8, 10, 19, 21
Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation[]
The Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation is the alternate form of Ninja Steel Megazord formed when the Dragon Zord takes over the Robo Red Zord's place in the cockpit while the Robo Red Zord becomes the left arm and the giant Dragon Zord Star replaces the Robo Red one as the head. This is performed when Ninja Steel Blue spins his Dragon Zord Star in the Ninja Star Blade. The Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation specializes in aerial pursuit and combat.
The Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation's attacks include the Dragon Blast, where it fires blue energy lasers from its mouth, and the Dragon Wing Whip or Tail Whip, where it slashes its opponents with its wings or tail.
The Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation's finisher is the Dragon Lightning, where it releases a powerful beam of blue electricity from its mouth that decimates anything in its path.
Appearances: NS Episodes 4, 7, 18; SNS Episodes 5, 22
Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord[]
The Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord is the alternate form of the Ninja Steel Megazord formed when the Rumble Tusk Zord takes over the Robo Red Zord's place in the cockpit and the Robo Red Zord becomes the right arm while the giant Rumble Tusk Zord Star replaces the Robo Red one as the head. This is performed when Ninja Steel Red spins the Rumble Tusk Zord Star in the Ninja Star Blade. As elephants are renowned for their strength, the Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord specializes in power-type attacks.
The Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord was armed with twin axes formed from the Rumble Tusk's rear feet and can fire the Rumble Tusk Mega Blast (or Mega Gust) for close-quarters combat. In episode 6, it was able to counter giant Badpipes's nose attack, which previously the normal Ninja Steel Megazord couldn't, by grabbing that same nose with its trunk and crushing it to bits. This attack is called the Rumble Tusk Stretch Attack.
The Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord's finisher is the Double Axe. In this finisher, the Rangers inside the Megazord's cockpit perform a double slash with their Ninja Star Blades, allowing the Megazord to throw its twin axes at the monster. Doing this created a massive X-slash before returning to the hands of the Megazord like boomerangs.
Appearances: NS Episodes 5, 6, 9, 17; SNS Episodes 13
Astro Ninja Steel Megazord[]
The Astro Ninja Steel Megazord was an alternate form of the Ninja Steel Megazord formed when the Astro Zord took over the Robo Red Zord's place with the Robo Red Zord serving as the formation's right arm, while the giant Astro Zord Star was placed on the head in place of the Robo Red one. This is performed when Ninja Steel Red spins the Astro Zord Star in the Ninja Star Blade. This form, which adapted the Astro Zord's speed and mobility, granted the Ninja Steel Megazord a massive flight boost coupled with the ability to chase down and battle giant-sized monsters that were capable of extra-atmospheric or even zero-gravity combat, patching up the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation's limitation of flying only within the Earth's upper atmosphere. In the Halloween special, a slightly different version of the Astro Ninja Steel Megazord is seen with the Nitro Zord's arm instead of the Robo Red Zord as the latter had left with the Red Ranger to battle the Robo Rider Zord, who was under Cosmo Royale's control.
The Astro Ninja Steel Megazord was armed with the Astro Launcher which doubled as a short trident during normal combat to injure the enlarged monsters before launching the finisher. Its finisher attack was the Cosmic Blast, where it charges up its Astro Launcher and fires three guided Ninja Stars which struck the target from all directions to defeat the giant monsters, forming the Ninja Steel insignia in the process.
Appearances: NS Episodes 7, 21; SNS Episodes 5, 13
Sub Surfer Ninja Megazord[]
The Sub Surfer Ninja Megazord, or Sub Surfer Ninja Steel Megazord was an alternate form of the Ninja Steel Megazord formed when the Sub Surfer Zord takes over the Robo Red Zord's place with the Zord placed as the formation's right arm, while the giant Sub Surfer Zord Star is placed on the head in place of the Robo Red one. This was performed when Brody spun the Sub Surfer Zord Star in the Ninja Star Blade.
In this formation, the Sub Surfer Ninja Steel Megazord retained the Dragon Sword as a weapon whilst gaining a surfboard that Sub Surfer rides. The Megazord was capable of manipulating tidal waves to increase its advantage in surfing on the ocean. The surfboard is also capable of acting as a skateboard when battling on land and a hoverboard when taking to the sky. Its finisher attack was the Riptide Slash, where it surfed into the enemy and slashed them with the Dragon Sword.
