The Ninja Nexus Prism is an ancient artifact that contains the six legendary Ninja Power Stars and originally held the Ninja Nexus Star. It is also a forge for new Power Stars. Prior to its crash land on Earth, the Ninja Nexus Prism was covered with Ninja Steel, an unique metal alloy that can be used to make new Power Stars. It is shown to be an actual living artifact that possesses both consciousness (able to retain memories and have its "mind" read by Zayto) and awareness (fleeing when it senses danger).
After the final battle against Galvanax, the Ninja Nexus Prism died, causing all the Power Stars in the Rangers' possession to turn into dust. However, Madame Odius later revived the Prism in an attempt to turn it evil and make Power Stars for her, however, the Rangers were able to stop her and with the newly-revived Prism, they got their Power Stars back to take on Odius' threats.
History[]
Arriving on Earth[]
The Ninja Nexus Star contained inside the Prism
The Ninja Nexus Prism was first created by the Morphin Masters in the Morphin Grid millions of years ago, where they sent it out into the universe to fight evil.
TV STORY-Unexpected Guest
10 years prior to the start of Ninja Steel, and during the events of Operation Overdrive the Prism crash-landed on Earth, in the backyard of the Romero family. It was discovered by Dane Romero, Brody Romero's father, who told his kids that it came to them for a reason. He chipped away the Prism's metallic shell, which was made of Ninja Steel and removed the Ninja Nexus Star contained inside it. He was melting the Ninja Steel down in special throwing stars. However, Galvanax subsequently arrived on Earth with his subordinates Ripcon and Madame Odius, in order to take the Ninja Nexus Prism for himself. Dane protected Brody after becoming the Ninja Steel Red Ranger and mysteriously vanished after a fight against Galvanax after he shattered the Nexus Star to prevent the monster from absorbing its power. It was then that the Prism reappeared, the Nexus Star fragments were absorbed back into the mystical artifact, where they reformed into the six Ninja Power Stars within it (Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Pink, and Gold). Galvanax then took Brody as his prisoner and brought the Prism onto his ship in order to figure out how to remove the Power Stars.
Galaxy Warriors[]
Two Kudabots with the Prism
Later on, the Ninja Nexus Prism was used in the Galaxy Warriors game show, where Galvanax hoped that one of the gladiators would be able to remove the Ninja Power Stars. One challenger, Korvaka, attempted to remove one of the six Ninja Power Stars from the Prism, but to no avail. Brody, Redbot, and Mick took back the Prism and attempted to escape via space cruiser. However, they were forced to escape through a garbage disposal unit when several Kudabots discovered them.
Red, Blue and Pink Rangers[]
Preston, Brody, and Sarah gazing at the Prism
The Nexus Prism crash landed into a nearby forest in Summer Cove where it was found by Preston Tien and Sarah Thompson. Along with Brody, they each removed the Red, Blue, and Pink Power Stars from the Prism and fought Korvaka after morphing into the Ninja Steel Rangers.
Afterwards, the three Rangers hid the Ninja Nexus Prism underneath a pile of rocks, only for the Prism to re-emerge out of the ground and fly away on its own, with the Yellow, White, and Gold Power Stars still inside it.

Gold Ranger[]
The Nexus Prism next appeared to Levi Weston, who claimed the Gold Power Star. It then flew away with the last two Stars still inside. Moments later, Madame Odius and a group of Kudabots attacked him, and Madame Odius took the Gold Power Star for herself, then took it and Levi back to the Warrior Dome Ship as a hostage.
TV STORY-Gold Rush
Levi would eventually be rescued from the Warrior Dome Ship by the Astro Zord, taking the Gold Power Star with him when he escaped.

Yellow and White Rangers & Ninja Steel Zords[]
The Nexus Prism later appeared in front of Calvin Maxwell and Hayley Foster when they protected Mick from Ripperat. The prism allowed for the teens to pull out the Yellow and White Power Stars before it flew off again, choosing them to join Brody, Preston, and Sarah as the Power Rangers Ninja Steel.
The Ninja Nexus Prism reforging the Ninja Steel throwing stars into Zord Stars
It reappeared when Ripperat grew into a giant and showed the Rangers a vision of their Zords. As the five throwing stars Dane made from the Ninja Steel glowed, Mick threw them into the Prism, which it energized the stars and transformed them into Zord Stars. After the fight, the Rangers took the Prism with them, keeping it in their secret base in Summer Cove High School.
TV STORY-Forged in Steel
As Mick continued forging the Ninja Steel into new throwing stars, the Prism would transform them into new Ninja Stars as needed, creating the Element Stars

End of Galvanax[]
The Ninja Nexus Prism destroyed.
During the final battle with Galvanax, when Brody shattered his Ninja Power Star, the Ninja Nexus Prism appeared on the battlefield to regenerate its three pieces into three full Ninja Power Stars, two of which emerged to reveal Brody and Mick as Red Rangers. When the third emerged, it revealed Dane Romero, also as a Red Ranger. Dane explained that when he first broke the Ninja Nexus Star, he had been badly injured enough that the Prism had absorbed his spirit, keeping him safe and healing him all this time. The Prism then flew off for a short time, but soon returned to inspire the Rangers, joining them in their Ninja Star Morph attack to finish off Galvanax for good. After Galvanax was destroyed, the Prism crashed into the ground, where it was too damaged from delivering the final blow against Galvanax and died, where its death could no longer sustain the existing Ninja Power Stars, which turned to dust in their owners' hands. The Rangers took their broken ally and placed him in its holder in their base.
TV STORY-Galvanax Rises
Revival[]
Odius revives the Prism.
With the help of an outlaw from another dimension named Badonna, Madame Odius, who survived the asteroid's crash into the Warrior Dome, came into possession of the Ninja Super Steel. This steel, way stronger than regular Ninja Steel, remained stable after the Prism's death. In order to forge her own Power Stars, Madame Odious put Galaxy Warriors back on the air, so she could get help finding the Prism, unaware of its current state. The Rangers stop her from turning the Prism evil, though Odius' magic succeeds in restoring it. With the Prism and a new form of Ninja Steel, the Rangers resume fighting the Galaxy Warriors contestants, once again trying to claim their Power Stars. They also reforged their previous Power Stars from Super Steel.

Return to Space[]
Following the defeat of Madame Odius, the Rangers returned the Super Steel Power Stars back to the Prism, where they reformed into the Nexus Super Star and coated itself in Super Steel, before it returned to space, leaving Earth to find new warriors to choose.
TV STORY-Reaching the Nexus
A few months later, around Christmas time, the Prism came back to Earth and appear to the Rangers, due to the reappearance of Sledge, where it turned the Nexus Super Star back into the Power Stars and gave them to the Rangers, before leaving the planet again.

Mission in Pine Ridge[]
The Prism appears before the Dino Fury Rangers in Pine Ridge.
3 years after giving the Ninja Steel Rangers back their Power Stars, the Ninja Nexus Prism returned to Earth, with Mick in pursuit of it as he had been tracking, where it stopped in Pine Ridge, California. Mick had very few clues as to why it came back, but with the help of the Dino Fury Rangers, they located it at the waterfront, out in the open.
The Dino Fury Rangers saw the Prism scanning Pine Ridge Bay for something. It stopped and allowed Zayto's team to read its mind, where it showed the Rafkonian visions of the Morphin Masters creating the Dino Rangers' Dino Gems, the Dino Charge Rangers' Energems, and it's own creation. The Prism also shows the many battles the Morphin Masters have observed over the years while the Prism was on Earth, including the Ninja Steel Rangers fighting Galvanax and Madame Odius, the Grid Battleforce Rangers, and the Dino Fury Rangers themselves. Zayto discovers the Prism was sent to Earth on a new mission, and that it was still searching for it. Void Knight and his goons sought to capture the Prism, but ultimately failed to do so when the Prism dove down into the sea. When the Rangers defeated their foes, the Prism flew out of the water and left Earth again, with the Rangers believing it found what it was looking for.
TV STORY-Unexpected Guest
After hearing about the freak lightning storm above Pine Ridge Bay, Zayto remembered that the Nexus Prism dove into the sea because of the mission the Morphin Masters sent it on. This meant that the thing it was looking for could have something to do with the storm.
TV STORY-Storm Surge
The Prism scanning Aiyon's stasis pod.
It was revealed that the Nexus Prism was looking for Aiyon, the Dino Fury Gold Ranger, who was asleep in a stasis pod at the bottom of Pine Ridge Bay. After finding and scanning his pod, the Nexus Prism reported that back to the Morphin Masters who woke up Aiyon for him to help the other Dino Fury Rangers when Lord Zedd escaped.

Characteristics[]
The Ninja Nexus Prism resembles a semi-transparent shuriken. When it was covered with Ninja Steel, the Prism had a grayish metallic coloration.
The Prism's unique molecular composition allows it to be indestructible against weapons of any kind. Only a truly good and noble person's hand can reach inside the Prism.
It would also appear that the Ninja Nexus Prism has some form of sentience, as it chooses the truly good and noble warriors to gain access to the Ninja Power Stars.
Notes[]
- Before the show aired, the Ninja Nexus Prism was referred to as the Spirit Crystal.
