Icon-shinkengerThis article is about a monster in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

"These are my cute offshoots, Shiro-Oniko. They replace the children, stealing their parents!"
―Nakinakite's first words when Mako noticed him atop a building and as he creates another of his Shiro-Oniko.[src]

"What can the two of you do?!"
―Nakinakite after Kotoha and Mako teamed up against him and his final words before his initial defeat.[src]

"Damn you Shinkengers!"
―Nakinakite when he enlarged.[src]

"It's heavy!"
―Nakinakite when being weighed down by DaiTenku and his final words before his death.[src]

Nakinakite (ナキナキテ 13) is an Ayakashi armed with the Niekane Jigokukon (沸鉄地獄棍 Seething Iron Hellish Cane), he is sent to deploy his Shiro-Oniko (白鬼子 White Oni Child) to take over a child's place, placing the original in a state of sadness. Nakinakite can also create the deadly infantile Aka-Oniko (赤鬼子 Red Oni Child) that latch onto his opponents and slowly increase in weight over time if unhappy, eventually crushing his opponents. He also has the ability to shoot red or blue lightning attacks with his mouth.

History[]

Shinkenger Akaonikko

Aka-Oniko

Nakinakite is destroyed by Shinken Yellow and Shinken Pink with their Dance of Heaven and Earth attack after knocking him into the air with their Air and Earth Storm, removing the Aka-Oniko from the others. He then changed into his second life but was then destroyed by ShinkenOh Shinken Samurai Slash after he was being weighed down by DaiTenku (thanks to some miscommunication).

Yokai Origins[]

According to folklore, the konaki-jijī (子泣き爺) is a yokai that can take the appearance of an old man that sounds like a crying baby. When he is picked up by a passerby, he suddenly becomes so heavy that he crushes them. Nakinakite's ability to summon Oniko that weigh down their victims is thought to be the origin of this legend.
