Mr. Billy's Wild Ride is the fourteenth episode of Power Rangers Zeo.

Synopsis[]

Billy's return home from Aquitar comes to a bumpy road when his ship is attacked.

Plot[]

Bulk and Skull wander the corridors of Angel Grove High in safari gear and wielding a compass. They explain to Rocky and Tanya that Lieutenant Stone is sending them on an orienteering exercise.

At the Power Chamber, Tommy, Kat and Adam anxiously wait for news of Billy. Finally, Alpha detects the approach of his ship. Billy contacts Zordon at the Power Chamber and notes he's even missing Bulk and Skull. The pair are currently trekking through the woods. Skull's map is a mess and his supplies seem to consist of several useless items and a can of fruit, with his only can opener needing to be plugged in.

Klank and Orbus report the approach of Billy's ship to King Mondo. Mondo intends to capture Billy: If they disable his ship, it will float towards their base. Mondo orders Klank and Sprocket to fire and the blast knocks Billy off course. Rocky and Tanya join the others in the Power Chamber as they re-establish contact with Billy and learns he is drifting towards the Machines' skybase. His systems are down, including the heaters, and he is low on oxygen. The Rangers set up a tractor beam to bring him back. Mondo orders the photon blast to be fired at the tractor beam this time. The feedback from the blast hits the Power Chamber and the explosion changes Billy's trajectory again, putting him on a collision course with the Sun.

Alpha notes the fuel cell has fused and needs to be replaced. Billy recalls the replacements are kept at the university warehouse. Zordon warns the Rangers that Mondo will try and intercept them so they morph before heading out. Mondo notices this and tells Klank to ambush them. Klank says he will take Mechanizer with him. Mondo instructs him to destroy the building if all else fails.

The Rangers enter the warehouse to be confronted by Klank and a group of Cogs, who they fight through. Tommy is attacked by Mechanizer and the other Rangers join the fight. Mechanizer blasts Rocky and Tanya, starting a fire, but drops his weapon, which Tanya destroys. Klank orders him to destroy the building and, as the fight continues, he begins destroying support struts. Kat, Rocky, Adam and Tanya are blasted out of the building by explosions. Kat wants to go back in for Tommy but Rocky and Adam restrain her as a larger explosion occurs inside. Tanya points out Tommy above them. He jumps down with the fuel cell.

Alpha fits the new fuel cell but they only have time for one shot. The Rangers take their stations again but Kat is unable to realign the tractor dish, which was damaged in Mondo's attack. Tommy goes out to do it manually, telling Adam to be ready to fire. Mondo sends Quadrafighters after him. The attack nearly knocks Tommy off a cliff but he gets back to the dish and realigns it. The tractor beam is fired and this time grasps Billy's ship. After a few tense seconds of silence, Billy contacts the Power Chamber to let them know he's on his way back. Mondo and Machina lament the development. Mondo wants to fire again but Sprocket tells him that this time their fuel cell is exhausted and get more upset when Klank tells him they don't have a backup.

Billy joins his friends for a smoothie at the Youth Club. Bulk and Skull come in, looking bedraggled and complaining about the map and compass. Stone congratulates them on making it back in record time but then a taxi driver approaches them, wanting his fare for picking them up from the woods. Bulk and Skull decide to get lost for real.
