This article is about an episode in Power Rangers Dino Fury. |
Morphin Master[1] is the fifteenth episode of Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2, and the thirty-seventh episode overall. This episode concludes the three-part story of Lord Zedd's Sporix plan and is the final appearance of Boomblaster. It also features the debut of the Dino Master Saber and the Gold Ranger's Dino Master Mode.
Synopsis[]
The other Morphin Masters are angry to discover the Green Morphin Master has broken their vow to never intervene in mortal affairs. But when the Rangers and the Green Morphin Master work together, the Morphin Masters have a change of heart.
Plot[]
Continuing from the previous episode, the Green Morphin Master explains to the Rangers why she helped them. She did not want to see Lord Zedd destroy them, so she protected them and teleported them back to Dinohenge. Aiyon begs Master Green to help Zayto, and she does so, restoring him to full health. However, there is still the matter of stopping Zedd before he uses the Sporix Generator back on Rafkon. Aiyon feels he let Master Green down by failing to defeat Zedd as she asked him to, but she says the team lacks the proper arsenal to take the latter down. Master Green constructs a new weapon for the team using her staff: the Dino Master Saber. She explains that using it allows one of them to activate the Dino Master Armor, and it has an ultimate attack that uses the power of all their Zords. However, Master Green warns them that using the attack would cause the wielder to be destroyed along with their enemy, something Amelia refuses to go through again.
Before returning to Rafkon, the Blue Morphin Master arrives and confronts Master Green. He says that the Red Morphin Master sent him after Master Green as she has broken their code to never intervene in the lives of mortals. Zayto is confused by this because the Morphin Masters have created Power Rangers in the past, and the fact they helped the Knights of Rafkon during the Great Sporix War. However, Master Blue explains that creating Power Ranger teams gave rise to new threats, and a few years after the Great Sporix Wars, powerful villains hunted the Masters. Some of the Masters were destroyed by those villains, and those who survived dedicated their lives to protect the Morphin Grid. They went into hiding afterwards and made a vow never to interfere with people’s lives, something Master Green broke.
Master Blue plans on incasing Master Green in crystal for eternity as punishment, but the Rangers argue that if it were not for her, they would have died on Rafkon. Still, Master Blue stands by his words, and the two masters prepare to fight. Zayto stops them from fighting as he is thankful for Master Green saving him and says it was not the first time she did so. Zayto activates the Legendary Ranger Database, showing Master Blue that Master Green came to them after the Dinohenge statues were destroyed and restored them to normal. Also, Zayto says that he found Ranger teams who were saved in their darkest moments through unexplained reasons and shows them three specific moments. The first instance was when a meteor came to Devon Daniels, the Grid Battleforce Red Ranger so he could summon the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Jason Lee Scott and bring together the Legendary Dino Rangers to defeat Goldar Maximus. The second instance was the energy of Morph-X reviving Steel after he died during the battle against Evox and becoming a full human rather than a robot. The final instance was all the Legendary Rangers coming to the aid of the Megaforce Rangers in the Legendary Battle and helping them defeat an entire horde of Armada X-Borgs. All these moments have led Zayto to realize that Master Green has been helping the Rangers in the past. Master Green said she did what she could to save lives, but Master Blue argues that doing so made her a target. The Rangers come to Master Green’s aid, but she tells them that stopping Lord Zedd is more critical right now. She teleports them back to Rafkon and leaves before being hit by Master Blue’s blast, encasing Solon’s mushrooms in crystals.
Back on Rafkon, Scrozzle fixes the Sporix Generator, and Lord Zedd plans on taking it off the planet. Knowing that removing the generator would destabilize Rafkon’s magma core and cause the planet to explode, the morphed Rangers confront Zedd’s crew but are blasted away. Scrozzle teleports his crew and the generator off Rafkon, causing the planet to start tearing itself apart. The Rangers teleport to the T-Rex Cosmic Megazord and quickly move away from the planet just before it is destroyed, ending Rafkon after sixty-five million years of safety. Zayto is heartbroken that he lost his planet, along with the fact they have no idea what happened to his people and goes to his knees in shock. Suddenly, Solon contacts the Rangers and informs them that Lord Zedd is back in Pine Ridge with the generator. Aiyon brings Zayto back up and reminds him that they can still save Earth, which lifts the Red Ranger back to his feet.
At Pine Ridge, Scrozzle powers up the Sporix Generator so it can create more Sporix Beasts, but nothing happens. Scorzzle believes it will take some time to charge up, just as Void Queen and Void King arrive. They are still mad that Lord Zedd tricked them by taking off with the robot generals they provided, but they stand down when the latter explains how the generator works. The Rangers teleport to the area, causing Void Queen to leave. The Rangers morph and fight Void King and the robot generals, though the might of the trio causes Zayto to activate the Dino Knight Armor. Aiyon summons the Dino Master Saber and activates the Dino Master Armor, causing a cloak to form over his body. With the new armor, Aiyon manages to overpower Boomblaster while Zayto overpowers Nulleye with the rest of the Rangers. They get the two generals cornered, but Void King attacks from their side and turns the tide in the villain’s favor. Fortunately, Aiyon uses the Mosa Master Strike to destroy Boomblaster, and the Rangers get back on their feet. However, Void King notices that Amelia is not with them, though is soon attacked by the Pink Ranger riding the Dino Fury Cycle. The two teleport away, leaving Lord Zedd and Scrozzle as the last two remaining threats. However, Scrozzle teleports away in fear, leaving Zedd alone.
Lord Zedd creates a barrier that prevents the Rangers from interfering with the Sporix Generator and even using the combined power of the Dino Armors to try and break it fails. Aiyon believes that the only way to stop Zedd is to use the Dino Master Saber’s ultimate attack, but the Rangers are against it as he would lose his life in the process. Still, Aiyon refuses to let the generator activate again and charges Zedd. Suddenly, Master Green arrives and uses her staff to destroy the barrier. She and Zedd engage in a beam war, but when the former starts to weaken, Aiyon slashes at Zedd. The momentary distraction allows Master Green to crystalize Zedd and destroy the generator, but she is also trapped in the crystal.
The Rangers take the crystal back to Dinohenge, but Solon says she cannot free Master Green from it. Suddenly, the Red and Blue Morphin Masters arrive to find Master Green, and the Rangers immediately say that it was thanks to her the generator was destroyed and they were still standing. Having realized that Master Green’s involvement saved the Earth, Master Red believes they have been too hard on her and decides to make things right. He uses his staff to free Master Green from the crystal and acknowledges that her involvement has saved many Rangers in the past. Master Red rescinds the rule and thanks the Rangers for making them see how short-sighted they were. The Morphin Masters plan on taking the imprisoned Zedd to a planet far away, but before leaving, Aiyon asks Master Green why she woke him up when the prophecy did not come true. Master Green explains that Aiyon was instrumental in stopping Zedd, but she never said he had to do it alone. Zayto asks Master Green if she knows what happened to the Rafkonians, but she says that will be something they must discover on their own. After Master Green leaves, the Rangers reflect on their victory, though Amelia knows it came at Rafkon’s destruction. While still sad that Rafkon is gone, Zayto says that he still has his friends and that Pine Ridge is his new home.
