This article is about a character in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. |
Moffun (もっふん ) is a fictional character within the world of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. He is a large yeti that is the main character of the anime "Together with Moffun". The character has also spawned a slew of merchandise, including plush toys of many sizes, hoodies, mugs, etc, many of which are owned by Rita Kaniska, who usually speaks through it when in private and off-duty.
History[]
Moffun is first seen during one of Rita’s trials, where they sentenced a man for scalping several of the character’s merchandise to six months in a -10°C jail. It is later shown that the king owns several Moffun dolls, and talks with the largest one as a way to motivate them to properly do their job.
Morphonia is the only one to know of this secret and would eventually use Moffun to talk through to Rita, cheering them up following their previous defeat against Desnaraku VIII.
Later on, Hymeno would mention that Moffun is a popular character in an anime called "Together with Moffun", pointing out how the program gave hope to the people of Ishabana during the Bugnarak crisis. When Jeramie was tried in Gokkan for suspicion of being the one behind the Wrath of the Gods, he gives Rita “vital information” regarding the anime. It is revealed that the TV show was created to support Hymeno when she ascended to the throne at a young age, molding her into becoming a capable king to their nation.
Personality[]
Moffun is a kind hearted being that likes to make the people around it happy and cheerful but it does have a sinister side of not letting the people around them leave them.

Rangers[]
- Rita Kaniska/Papillon Ohger: Rita is a big fan of the anime and has many Moffun merchandise. They love the character so much to point of having conversations with a large plush toy of Moffun when they feel down. Additionally, Rita also possess a small-sized Moffun doll that they bring with them for relieving some of their stress. In comedic way, Rita is heavily vulnerable by anything related to Moffun, such as when Hymeno offer them a chance to meet Moffun Voice Actor (Fotsuka Fortune) in exchange of Rita releasing her from her shackles (Which they almost did until Hymeno throws another small sized moffun doll for Rita to catch). Rita also refuses to escape from Hymeno's 'Trap' just to watch the newest episode of "Together with Moffun" much to Gira's disbelief. This vulnerability also didn't wane even after two years, with Rita willingly eliminating themselves from the Leader choosing game after Jeramie baited her with a tied Moffun doll.
- Hymeno Ran/Kamakiri Ohger: When Hymeno became queen at a young age, she was shown "Together with Moffun" to lift her spirits up and mold her into becoming a capable leader. She later ordered its continued syndication at Ishabana to similarly lift her people's spirits up during a crisis.
