Minoru Ono (大野 稔 Ōno Minoru) is a recurring enemy of the Donbrothers who has turned into various Hitotsuki.
He first turns into a ninja-themed Hitotsuki called Shurikenki (手裏剣鬼 lit. Shuriken Demon), possessing a Ninninger Avataro Gear, out of his desire to show off his ninpou. Later on, he turns into Mahouki (魔法鬼 Mahōki, lit. Magical Demon), possessing a Magiranger Avataro Gear, Mahouking (魔法鬼ング Mahōkingu), and GoGoki (轟轟鬼 Gōgōki, lit. Rumbling Demon), possessing a Boukenger Avataro Gear, out of his now gained desire to defeat Taro Momoi. His particular feelings of desire to beat Taro would once again influence him to spawn another Hitotsuki called Seijuki. However, before it could mature fully, it was captured by Sononi and Sonoza as a part of a plan to defeat Sonoshi.
He later becomes a insect/king-themed Hitotsuki called Ohsamaki (王様鬼 Ō-Samaki, lit. King Demon), possessing a King-Ohger Avataro Gear, thanks to the Noto Inspectors. He finally turned into Kikaiki (機界鬼 lit. Machine World Demon), one of the main antagonists of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger out of his desire to avenge his ill mother by exposing and killing the Donbrothers hence ending the Don Clan once and for all. He later returns as the main antagonist of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger vs. Donbrothers as Ohsamaki once again.
History
As Shurikenki
Minoru Ono is doing some ninja training, when Taro arrives with a package for him. Taro explains he tried reaching Mr. Ono’s house first, but his neighbors said to find him out at the training grounds. Mr. Ono excitedly opens his package, revealing a kusarigama inside. Taro tells him he can help if he needs it, to which Minoru wants him to help train in the way of the ninja by challenging Taro to a duel. Taro isn’t sure what he means as Minoru tries to throw the kusarigama at him. Taro effortlessly dodges as the chain falls the ground and using only his feet, disarms the kusarigama away from Minoru. Taro, once again brutal with his honesty, says it is fine to “play ninja” but one must not lose their tools. As he walks away, Minoru takes offense to Taro’s words and begins to get angry
Later, Minoru is still fuming over Taro’s comment about him “playing ninja”, vowing to get revenge on the Taro for insulting him and his ninja path of training. This desire causes Shurikenki's aura to emerge from Minoru’s body.
Elsewhere in the city, Taro is making his rounds and heads back to his van, only for a flying shuriken to be blocked from hitting Taro’s head by Taro using his clipboard. Minoru appears and declares Taro his enemy, promising to show the man who insulted “Ono School style ninpo” the full extent of his power. Minoru becomes Shurikenki, but Taro insults him again by saying that now Minoru just thinks he is a real ninja. Taro then Avatar Changes into Don Momotaro and the two fight.
During the battle, the three Donbrothers then appear on the battlefield, with Kiji Brother stepping on caltrops that Shurikenki threw without watching where he was walking. Don Momotaro says Shurikenki is only after him and he will be fine on his own. Haruka and Shinichi trust that their leader will be alright and deactivate their transformations to teleport back and check on Tsubasa.
While Haruka and Shinichi were gone, Don Momotaro is battling Shurikenki and the Anoni, but despite his efforts he is slipping up as Shurikenki manages to hit him with a thrown shuriken. Haruka and Shinichi return to the battle to assist Don Momotaro with the Anoni. The latter asks about Tsubasa, to which the two reassured him he is in good care. Shinichi recites a haiku about summer colds as he beats up the Anoni. But Haruka was knocked by Kiji Brother, as he stumbles in upon teleportation due to him spilling water from some stock that Shinichi left boiling in a pot before he and Haruka teleported into battle. She angrily tells him to watch where he is going and Shinichi uses him as a “pheasant shuriken”, tossing him to destroy the wave of Anoni heading towards them. Satisfied, the two decide to check on the stock they had left boiling as five minutes have passed. They demorph again and leave Don Momotaro alone in battle again.
As the battle goes on, Don Momotaro is getting a little tired as he takes more damage than usual. Shurikenki uses a clone technique and barrages Don Momotaro with multiple giant shuriken, which he evaded and blocks until one hits him and then Shurikenki tosses him into some barrels. Shinichi and Haruka teleport in and fires shots from their Donbrothers blasters long enough for Don Momotaro to get up, who guesses now he owes them for saving his life. The battle turns in Shurikenki’s favor as his attacks become more aggressive and his clones overwhelm the Ranger trio. Tsuyoshi teleports in, with his transformed helmet lodging the wash basin of salt on his head. Upon seeing the wash basin, Shinichi and Haruka find out that Tsuyoshi is Kiji Brother. Upon mentioning the wash basin aloud as they talk, Tsuyoshi figures out that Oni Sister and Saru Brother are Haruka and Shinchi.
During the fight, one of Shurikenki’s clones accidentally knocks over the salt Tsuyoshi is carrying on his head, which gets in the real Shurikenki’s eyes. Inu Brother appears and accidentally flying kicks Tsuyoshi when Shurikenki unintentionally ducked, causing the salt to go into the air and get in the eyes of all the clones and blind them. Haruka is thankful that their suits have sunglasses to protect them from the salt.
Tsubasa tries to lead the charge of his comrades, to the chagrin of Don Momotaro as they assume their Robotaro forms and make quick work to defeat Shurikenki’s clones and Don Robotaro defeats Shurikenki himself with the Avatar Photon Slash. Now freed from the Hitotsuki, Minoru wakes up at his training grounds, confused as to what happened.
TV STORY-Don 11: The Dog Gets Sunstroke
As Mahouki
During Sonoi's and Taro's battle, Minoru Ono shows up and this time, he has a new hobby for the purpose of revenge against Taro: studying the occult and learning magic. His interest in the arcane arts combines with his desire for revenge turning him yet again into a Hitotsuki, Mahouki. Mahouki uses Magi Yellow’s thunder magic to blast Taro and the Donbrothers teleport in to keep the Hitotsuki and Don Murasame away from Taro. Things get worse when the Cat Jutos appear and attack in a large group. Taro encounters a Juto for the first time and his attacks have no effect on it. The others are also struggling to deal with the Juto, with Tsubasa once again fighting the Detective Sayama Juto.
Mahouki binds Taro with Magi Green’s earth magic, but Sonoi cuts him loose and the two stand in the center of the chaos ensuing around them. Sonoza and Sononi show up to drive back the Juto and the Donbrothers do so as well so Sonoi and Taro can have their duel.
Jiro gets annoyed with the chaos and willingly becomes Don Torabolt on his own, with Dangerous Jiro quickly defeating Mahouki. The Hitotsuki’s defeat sends out an explosion that knocks back the Juto.
Mahouki becomes Mahouking and Toradragonjin tries to deal with it on its own, but gets overwhelmed by his opponent using the spells of the Magirangers. Don Onitaijin appears to help, though Dangerous Jiro doesn’t want anything to do with Taro. Taro tells him to be quiet as he has a duel to get to, quickly executing the DonBros Paradise alongside Toradragonjin’s Jiro’s Hurricane to defeat Mahouking. TV STORY-Don 27: Duel for Real
As GoGoki and "Death"
After these two incidents, Minoru Ono has returned home to help out on his elderly mother’s farm by tending to the ponies. Mrs. Ono is happy her son has given up his crazy obsession for becoming a ninja warrior, enjoying lunch with him. While Minoru tries to be content with his life, he quickly has ninja related hallucinations and still desires to be one and get revenge on Taro for ruining his dream. This desire yet again turns him into a Hitotsuki, the Boukenger themed GoGoki.
As Don Momotaro and the two Noto generals are battling, Minoru shows up, determined to get revenge on Taro, transforming into GoGoki. Taro is a bit annoyed that he has to fight Minoru again and that Jiro is interfering with the fight. The Donbrothers teleport in immediately after and are stunned by all this chaos but quickly get GoGoKi and Don Torabolt outside so Taro can have his duel without any interruptions. Once Sonoi returns to fight Taro, Minoru intervenes once again to fight Taro. As Taro sees him, he prepares an attack to return him to normal, only for Sonoi to strike him down first, his attack "killing" him off instead. With his final breath, he apologizes to his mother for not controlling his ninja desires before "dying". TV STORY-Don 32: Duel Part 2
Revival
It is later revealed that Minoru is still alive. How he survived Sonoi's attack is currently unexplained.[note 1] When both Sononi and Sonoza had come across Minoru himself, they were surprised towards the fact that he had somehow survived Sonoi's attack as well as seeing that the aspiring ninja warrior is on the verge of transforming into, yet again, another Hitotsuki albeit this time, it is the Gingaman themed Seijuki. As part of the Noto Trio's and the Donbrothers' plan of defeating Sonoshi, Sonoza himself had separated Minoru from the then premature Hitotsuki in question followed by the Noto himself harvesting it so that they could transplant the aforementioned Hitotsuki into Sonoshi themselves. As Ohsamaki
When Minoru was taking care of his horse and spending some time with his mother, the Noto Inspectors were watching him and turned him into the strongest Hitotsuki to get rid of Donbrothers once and for all. Unfortunately, Minoru, now transformed into Ohsamaki, attacks them and makes them to flee. TV STORY-Don 49: Last Memories
He then became Ohsamaiki again to fight the Donbrothers, now with Jiro as their leader, but by using Formation A, he was ultimately defeated.
As Kikaiki
After defeated, Minoru visits his mother in the hospital, who tells him to pursue his dreams before she "passes away". Filled with fresh determination from his mother's "last words", a never before-seen Hitotsuki manifests within Minoru. Then Minoru Ono became Kikaiki and attacks everyone. Out of respect for the others' wish to quit, Taro arrives and fights alone, but is overpowered and slain. Avenging their fallen friend, the team challenges Kikaiki, but gets overpowered. As they battle, Sonoi goes to the funeral chapel and returns the power that was stolen from Taro for his own resurrection. Taro returns to life and rejoins the fight against Kikaiki. Jiro berates the others for listening to Taro, and threatens to take their new jobs and positions away from them. At this point it was revealed the topic everyone wanted to talk to Taro about; As it turns out, Jiro was using his gifts as a way to blackmail the team and remain obedient if they ever doubted his leadership. After speaking with Taro, he not only pointed out how terrible of a leader Jiro became, he also made the others realize that they need to fight for themselves and their happiness. They push Kikaiki to a quarry and fight him there.
The Zenkaigers are pushed into the same quarry as the Donbrothers by Zocks, while Stacy and Hakaizer bring their fight to the ground. The Zenkaigers recognize Don Momotaro and while his team is confused, most of them having never seen another Sentai, they decide to help. Vroon tells Taro that the World is on Zocks' ship, so he drags Kashiwa Mochi World down and has the Donbrothers turn into the Dynamen and beat the World with Super Dynamite, destroying his Tojiru Gear and freeing everyone from kashiwa mochi addiction. Kikaiki helps the World, and the two exchange power with one another, empowering them both to beat down the Sentai teams. Just as the monsters are about to finish the job, the Kaito of the Donbrothers' world shoots them. Everyone is confused as to how another Kaito exists, and when asked, Donbrothers Kaito simply announces himself as a true hero before going back to the sidelines. The teams combine their forces, transform, and roll call as the World and Hitotsuki can't hear those roll call at once, summoning Kudakks and Anoni to aid them. They begin to fight until Donbrothers' Kaito hands Taro a new gear, the VS (Victory Super) Gear, which turns Taro into Don Zenkai Momotaro and the Zenkaiger's Kaito into GolDon Zenkaizer. The two unveil a new technique that finishes Kikaiki and Kashiwa Mochi World off.
After returning to normal, Minoru returns to the hospital, where he learns his mother is still alive, but he promises to live his life seriously. TV STORY-Avataro Sentai Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger vs. Donbrothers
Due to Don Murasame causing a truck to hit him while he was walking to work. The Donbrothers surround him and Haruka would unintentionally provoking him by saying that her next manga would be a cliche Isekai (transporting into another world) story and it would awake Minoru prompting him to reawaken Ohsamaki and transporting the Donbrothers into Chikyu. He would land in Ishabana and would defeat Haruka, Sonoza, Hymeno, and Rita which sent them to Hakabaka, he would later appear in Hakabaka and interrupt the fight with the Donbrothers and King-Ohgers and would later be defeated by Taro and Gira, sending him back to the normal world. Personality
Ever since he was inadvertently offended by Taro's brutal honesty, Minoru has held a strong vendetta against him and the Donbrothers and has vowed to get revenge on them.

Portrayal
Minoru Ono is portrayed by Takashi Sakakibara (榊原 卓士 Sakakibara Takashi), who also voiced his Hitotsuki and Hitotsuking forms respectively. As Shurikenki and GoGoki, his suit actor is Hajime Kanzaki (神前 元 Kanzaki Hajime). As Mahouki, his suit actor is Masaru Obayashi (大林 勝 Ōbayashi Masaru), and as Mahouking, his suit actor is Kenya Saitou (齊藤 謙也 Saitō Kenya).

- Mahouking's design is based on Majin Gattai MagiKing.
- GoGoki's design is based on an explorer and a compass.
- Ohsamaki's design is based on a crown, and insects.
- Kikaiki's design is based on machines and gears. Kikaiki's gear motif is referring to Sentai Gears. Kikaiki's chest plate design is based on Geartlinger. His Machine Gun weapon also references the Geartlinger.

- "Shuriken" is Japanese for "hidden hand blade" and refers to Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.
- "Mahou" is Japanese for "magic", and refers to Mahou Sentai Magiranger.
- "GoGo" is Japanese for "rumbling", and refers to GoGo Sentai Boukenger.
- "Ohsama" is Japanese for "king", and refers to Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
- "Kikai” is Japanese for "Machine World", and refers to Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.
