Minh Kwan is the daughter of Trini Kwan and her successor as the current Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
History
Background
Minh Kwan was born the daughter of Trini Kwan and lived with her. Sometime in her childhood, she drew a picture of her mother.
Once & Always
In her adolescence, Minh came home from school one day and found both Billy Cranston and Zack Taylor in her living room arguing over whenever to tell Minh that Trini was killed by Robo-Rita Repulsa. Overhearing the conversation on what happened and their secret as Power Rangers all these years, Minh became speechless, running to her room in tears.
One year later, Zack became Minh's legal guardian, while Minh continued her martial arts training. On the way to Trini's 1 year memorial, Robo-Rita returned from the Dark Dimension with new allies and a plan to capture the Rangers and power her machine.
After Minh escaped with Billy and Zack, she announced her intent on getting revenge for Trini, but was heavily discouraged from doing so as she was not a Ranger. However, still filled with vengeance, she took her mother's Morpher and entered a swarm of Putty Patrollers at the Juice Bar intending to fight them. However her attempt to morph failed, only for Zack and Rocky DeSantos to arrive and save her. Minh is brought to the underground Command Center at Cranston Technologies and is scolded by Zack for recklessly playing "Ranger" on her own, who tried to teach her that Power Rangers fight out of a selfless love for peace and justice, not hatred and vengeance.
After the Rangers leave for Rita's Moon Palace, Minh goes off on her own to end both Snizzard and Minotaur, but unable to morph a second time. Rita appears before her as Minh tries to fight her, only to end up mocked of her and Trini, getting captured in the process.
The team of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers complete again, going to confront Robo-Rita.
After being taken to the Moon Palace where the Rangers were about to destroy Rita's machine, the Rangers fight back but Minh took a massive hit meant for Billy. She miraculously survives due to Trini's Morpher protecting her and glowing, along with Trini's memories flowing into her mind, signifying the transfer of power. After becoming the new Yellow Ranger, she helps the Rangers destroy Rita and her minions, as well as her machine.
Later, at the Juice Bar, Minh apologizes to Billy for blaming him for Rita's return and her mother's death. They then reminisce with Zack and Billy about Trini's life in her Ranger days.
Cosmic Fury
Billy and Minh help the Cosmic Fury Rangers.
Following the Robo-Rita crisis, Minh and the other Mighty Morphin Rangers were outmatched and later captured by Lord Zedd's forces during its invasion of Earth, but were later liberated. Once freed, Minh aids Billy against Lord Zedd's army in outer space. She is seen morphed as the Yellow Ranger and assisting Billy piloting the Megazord.

Personality
Minh is a kind young woman willing to do whatever it took to protect the peace. However, her sense of justice was clouded by her desire for revenge against Rita Repulsa for the murder of her mother.

Etymology
- Minh is a Vietnamese name which originated from the Chinese word ming (明). Ming and Minh both mean "bright" or "clear".
Notes
- After almost 30 years, Minh is one of the few Asian Rangers to be a Yellow Ranger.
- Minh is the only Mighty Morphin Power Ranger to return to help Billy and the Cosmic Fury Rangers, but she appears morphed only.
