This article is about a/an series of milestones in the Power Rangers franchise.

As a franchise, Power Rangers is constantly evolving and changing, with new ideas and concepts emerging with each series, both stemming from the original source, Super Sentai and as written into the adapted show. This is a real-world documentation of the evolution and the milestones in the franchise, showing the changes, advancements, and quirks which emerge with each new series since originally starting in 1993.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Season One

First to be adapted from Super Sentai.
Established a five-man team with a Sixth Ranger.
First Sixth Ranger.
First to switch a Ranger's genders from the original source.
First Zordon Era season.
Adaptation of 16th season, Zyuranger.

Season Two

First to have a second Megazord combination for a team.
First adaptation to not use the adapted season's core Rangers' suits.
Last to use the Dragon Ranger's suit.
First villain exclusive to Power Rangers.
100th Power Rangers episode: Rangers Back in Time, Part II.
First to feature Ranger replacements mid-season.
First to have a Red Ranger that is not a leader.
Adaptation of 17th season, Dairanger.

Season Three

First to have a third and fourth Megazord for a single team.
First to feature a Monster-of-the-week with no association with the main villains.
First series to feature a non-Power Ranger hero as well as crossing over with another Saban show.
Last to use the five core Zyuranger suits and the KibaRanger suit.
Adaptation of 18th Season, Kakuranger.

Alien Rangers (Mini-Series)

First to have non-combining Zords.
First team to be led by a female.
First team to have only one female member.
First to have a male Yellow Ranger.
First to feature another Ranger team.
First to not have a Sixth Ranger.
First to not have a Pink Ranger.
First to have kept every Ranger's gender the same from the original source.
The first series to have ten episodes.
Adaptation of 18th season, Kakuranger.

Zeo

First full-on change of powers, suits and arsenal for the titular Rangers.
First new set of villains.
First Megazord with a special system per pilot.
First series to introduce a Ranger color before Sentai: Gold.

First series to have a team up with the previous team.

Adaptation of 19th season, Ohranger.

Turbo

First to premiere with a full-length movie.
First series with car-themed Zords.
Only series with a child as a Ranger.

First series with a new mentor and assistant.
Only season where the main Rangers were completely defeated in the end.

In Space

First series to keep the original Sentai robo names for Megazords.
Final series to feature Zordon, also making it the final season of the Zordon Era

Lost Galaxy

Wild Force

Ninja Storm

Dino Thunder

Mystic Force

Dino Charge-Dino Super Charge

Only Parasaurolophus, Velociraptor, Pachycephalosaurus, and Plesio saurus Rangers.
First series to be adapted out of order, as the Sentai season it is adapted from debuted a year after Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, which received an adaptation 7 years after its Sentai counterpart, and 4 years after Dino Charge.
First series to have one female on a five-member team.
800th Power Rangers episode: Sync or Swim.
First season to not have a Yellow Ranger.
First Graphite and Aqua Rangers.

Ninja Steel-Super Ninja Steel

Dino Fury

Cosmic Fury

First Official season to:
- To keep all six Rangers from the previous show as Rangers cast for the duration of this season.
- To feature an entirely Power Rangers-exclusive Team.
- To adapt a Ranger that was originated from the Boom! Studios comics (the Dino Charge Dark Ranger).
- To premiere worldwide on a streaming service.
- To have only ten episodes.
- To have a Ranger who lost a limb in the line of duty, and to replace it.
- To not have a "monster of the week" format.
First dinosaur-themed season to have a Ranger with a fictional dinosaur motif (Solonosaurus).
