Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #52 is the fifty-third actual issue of the Boom! Studios comic book series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which begins its numbering with Issue 0. This issue features the debut of the Empyreal.
This is the second issue of the concluding arc of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This issue sets up the Unlimited Power story arc and the debut of two new series, Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers.
Synopsis[]
As tensions rise between the OMEGA RANGERS and the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS over the return of , Kimberly takes it upon herself to interrogate their new prisoner. Meanwhile, a team of Rangers on a crucial intergalactic mission come face to face with the herald of a new threat heading straight for Earth![1]
Plot[]
The story starts with Zack playing a ball game with Reeshka, Sewa and Raegyn with Zack being victorious. Though the kids quickly denied it. Reeshka then had to say goodbye to her friends when Trini gave the news that their ship is ready. Zack then talked to XI about improving the ship while Jason and Trini train.
Back on Earth, a teacher assigned Aisha with Bulk much to her disappointment. While Adam gets assigned with Violet Arias, the latter has some doubts about the Power Ranger's protection and their accountabilities. Meanwhile back at the Command Center, Lord Drakkon tempts Kimberly to kill him. But she refuses to do so.
Back in space, the ship arrives on Gorvinos III only to find it destroyed by what XI described a massive energy disruption at the cellular level. The Omega Rangers were sent to investigate, where they were under attack by beings made of bacteria and lifeless matter. Their regenerative abilities proved to be too much for them. So the Rangers used their Omega Strike to destroy them. Suddenly, the lifeless planet is shifting around the Rangers to reveal the Empyreal.
