Plot[]
Chapter Four: Family Reunion
Olivia rummages around and finds her father’s old Power Morpher, deciding to try and morph, which automatically teleports her to the Moon fully morphed as the Green Ranger. She feels queasy from the trip, but Kimberly shouts for her daughter and surprises everyone when Olivia calls her “Mom”.
Selena does not hesitate and quickly attacks Olivia, knocking the Dragon Dagger out of her hands. Billy tells Kimberly to grab it as it could shatter the barrier that the others and him are trapped in. She manages to break through and free everyone while Selena and Olivia fight hand to hand, Billy is surprised that Kimberly and Tommy had a kid and wonders when she was going to tell them, Kimberly says she would never tell them. Zack hates to interrupt their squabble but they have to deal with a squad of Putties charging at them.
Zack, Jason and Billy fend off the Putties while Kimberly carries the Dragon Dagger and goes to help Olivia. Selena takes down both of them and steals Tommy’s Power Morpher, forcing Olivia to de-morph in the process, with the young girl too inexperienced at being a Ranger to stop her. Selena blasts Kimberly with her mother’s wand and orders Finster to activate the Morphin-Matic. The machine starts to power on as Selena calls out to her mother Rita Repulsa, with the guys having finished taking down the Putties. Olivia rush tackles Selena, knocking her out of the chamber she was in as the Morphin-Matic turns on and someone emerges from it when it powers down: Tommy Oliver, who is still in his late 20s and confused as to what happened.
He sees his friends and wife are all older and hugs Kimberly, but Selena is furious, as Finster used up the last of the magic clay so she doesn’t get another chance to bring back her mother and it was supposed to be her and not Tommy who came back. She grabs Trini’s Power Morpher and becomes a corrupted version of the Yellow Ranger, which has bits of her father’s appearance added to the suit. She fires a huge blast of magic from her wand, which Kimberly and Tommy duck away from as the others try to reach them only to be stopped by Finster, who has augmented himself with the remains of his fallen Putties to become a giant with multiple limbs.
Olivia rescues her mother and the two grab their Morphers, morphing and splitting up to save the others, with Kimberly saving her husband by blocking Selena’s wand with her bow saying only: “LEAVE. MY HUSBAND. ALONE.”
Zack is happy to see Kimberly back in action but Billy reminds him of the current danger that they are in with “Mega-Finster”, but the situation is quickly resolved when Olivia stabs Finster in the back with the Dragon Dagger and Mega-Finster collapses. She says hi to the famous friends of her mother and that she is super excited to finally meet them, giving them their Morphers. Jason, Zack and Billy morph, commenting that they don’t like seeing the powers of their late friend Trini being used by a bad guy and that they should do everything they can to take that Morpher back. Zack thinks that this will be a cake walk as it is five Rangers against one as he charges his Power Axe’s cannon to shoot Selena. Billy is not so sure given Selena has inherited the powers of both her parents and is currently augmented with Ranger Powers, thinking that this will be their toughest foe yet.
Olivia gets blasted and knocked back, with Tommy checking to see if she is okay, she admits that maybe she is not cut out to be a Ranger yet and says she has only been one for ten minutes when her father asks how long she has been a Ranger. She gives him his Morpher, as his team needs him, hugging her dad. Tommy is shocked and confused, as from his perspective he was only gone for a few minutes and now he has a teenage daughter. Olivia says they will catch up later because now it’s Morphin’ Time, with Tommy morphing into the Green Ranger to help out his team. Selena is enraged and decides that if she can’t have her mother then she will have revenge by killing all of the remaining original Rangers.
Kimberly is fed up with the evil witch threatening her friends and family and draws her Power Bow, saying that while she didn’t kill Rita all those years ago, she will aim right this time and kill Selena right now. Olivia is horrified to hear her mother be so cold blooded and Tommy tells Kimberly to stand down, as nobody is going to kill anyone today.
He figures out that woman attacking them is Selena and explains that Rita used her magic to put him in the Morphin Grid with her, saving his life as repayment for the act of kindness of saving Selena from the explosion on the Moon. He says that he saved her using his Wrist Communicator to teleport her away to Earth and he has no intention of fighting the very person he saved all those years ago. Angry and confused, Selena shouts that Tommy is lying and then teleports away using Trini’s Morpher, vowing to return for revenge later. With the threat gone for the time being, Tommy finally stops to ask about everything he has missed in the time he was gone.
Back in Angel Grove, Tommy looks at old photos of him with his team from 1993, sad to hear that Trini had passed away from cancer but proud of everything she accomplished in her life, of everything everyone accomplished in their lives. He regrets that he missed so much and isn’t even sure who he is anymore now that the Power Rangers are no longer needed. Kimberly disagrees, as she realizes that she was wrong and that even if she wasn’t a Ranger anymore, she should not have stopped helping people. She was ready to kill Selena, but that goes against everything that the Power Rangers stand for and Selena needs to be found and they need to help her.
She believes that the world needs the Power Rangers, but the team doesn’t need her on the front lines, deciding to pass her Pink Ranger powers on to Olivia and entrusting her husband to train their daughter to be a proper Ranger. Kimberly believes that Tommy is just what the team needs. Tommy is willing to help Selena, but admits he can’t do it alone and asks the others if they want to return to active duty as Rangers. Zack and Billy are not up for returning full time, but are willing to help when needed and Jason admits that he lost his way and forgot so much of what Zordon taught them all, hoping Tommy will lead the team to remind them of who they are as Rangers. Olivia is excited about the Power Rangers coming back, saying all they need now is a Command Center.
At dusk, Selena teleports to the ruins of the old Command Center and throws a tantrum, blasting and smashing everything around her. She laments how close she was to bringing her mother back, only for a mysterious female White Ranger to appear, demanding to know who Selena is and what happened to Zordon.
