Plot[]
Ten thousand years ago, in the Planet Eltar inside the Sanctuary of Zaren. Zophram and Zordon were sparring together, with the former mentioned that the latter had eaten food, though he assured that he will get Zartus back, but Zophram told Zordon that there won't be a next time, and reminded him that he cannot eat food on supervision. Zordon tried to explain, but Zophram cut him off, telling him that he had been promoted to Supreme Guardian, and the Elders have asked him to found a successor: Zordon. He was shocked that he did not choose Zartus and wanted Zophram to make Zartus the chief guardian. Zophram noted the irony that Zordon doesn't want to lead yet was giving commands. The two then continued sparring with Zophram explained that while Zartus will be Chief Guardian one day, he needed Zordon to do it as he knows that he would put Eltar in good protection.
In Angel Grove, the Rangers in their Megazords are battling the Prime Putty, the White Tigerzord tried to attack only for the Putty to knock it back while launching its hands at the Thunder Megazord, unleashing hundreds of Putties on it. Rocky then went outside to fend off the Putties while the others try to reboot the Megazord, while fighting the Putties, Adam arrived to help Rocky. Meanwhile in the streets, Bulk observed more Putties roaming in the streets while Candice checks on Skull. Bulk then accused Candice of cheating on Skull when he actually loves her, shocking Candice. When Skull woke up, he noticed that Candice is missing.
Tommy continued to fight the Prime Putty after he dodged its fist, when he was about to counter, the Putty unleashed its Chaos powers on the Tigerzord. Tommy then called Zordon on their next course of action, he tells Tommy to order the other Rangers to regroup but they cannot teleport as something is blocking. Just then, Alpha then chimed in, noticing that the scanners have picked up the Dragonzord and it came to assist the Tigerzord, Grace then informed Tommy that the Dragonzord can combine with the Tigerzord with some modifications made Promethea. Tommy tried doing so but Zedd stopped the combination using his staff, the other Rangers tried to continue fighting the Putties before they along with Tommy are teleported back into the Command Center. Tommy at first thanked Alpha for teleporting them before Candice appeared and revealed herself as Zeyla of Eltar, shocking the Rangers. Zordon asked Zeyla why he wasn't told about this, Zeyla said she had order to protect the Rangers at all costs for the upcoming Third Eltarian War.
Back in Angel Grove, Zedd putted a forcefield around Angel Grove and ordered his henchmen about their roles for creating a better world. After an hour, Billy and Alpha couldn't make any progress on bypassing that forcefield, with the Rangers regretted their decisions to escape and leave the people trapped defenseless. Tommy tried to ask Zeyla to teleported them back but Zeyla revealed that the Rangers would have died had she not teleported them back. Alpha then told everyone about an emergency broadcast in Angel Grove, showing the Green Ranger then gave a message that he too is scared along with the rest of them, but he assures them that he's on their side. To show trust, the Green Ranger unmasked his identity as Matthew Cook telling the people to stay strong as the other Rangers will protect them all.
