The Midas Hound first appeared in the form of a small dog statue. After it was grown by Orbus and its exterior was shattered by an attack from Pyramidas, its true form was revealed as the Midas Monster.

History

Midas Hound (tiny before it became giant)

It could transform ordinary items into gold, but soon began transforming things at random on its own. Adam and Kat investigated the park and found the statue, but were later attacked by Cogs, while Klank & Orbus, in an attempt to prove their usefulness to Louie Kaboom, made the statue grow, causing Adam and Kat to call for reinforcements. The other Rangers arrived to help, but Jason was hit directly by a beam from the giant Midas Hound and transformed into a lifeless solid gold statue.

During the battle with the Rangers' Zords, it turned various parts of the Super Zeo Zords to gold. After Jason was turned back to normal, he shattered the Midas Hound with an attack from Pyramidas. The true Midas Monster (looking somewhat like the Midas hound himself) revealed himself by popping out like someone popping out of a birthday cake. Tommy was able to use the Red Battlezord to destroy the Midas Monster's Goldarizer, causing everything to turn back to normal. An enraged Midas Monster then locked all the Zords up with chains and zapped them with electricity. The Zeo Megazord then broke the chains off with its saber, but before the Midas Monster could attack again, the Rangers formed the Zeo Ultrazord, which promptly destroyed him.
