I finally saw it and...yeah, the continuity for this movie is horrific. The only place this could work, and I mean could, is between 40 and 41: 40 has Asuka's return to the Abaranger and Jeanne with the Evolian again; while 41 basically begins Mikoto's redemption. The ignorable plotholes: Lije (she does nothing so easy enough) and somehow Asuka knowing MaxRyuuOh when he doesn't use it as a personal mech until the Inextinguishable fight.
Much like with Ohranger vs. Kakuranger it doesn't have anything that could be mixed with the continuity of the series. But yeah if it weren't for Lije instead of Lijewel showing up then it would easily have taken place between ep. 40-41 which I did easily come to that conclusion when I first saw it over a decade ago.
Also in your updates a mistake you made is identifying Asuka taking MaxRyuuOh as his personal mecha, but don't forget that Episode 42 against KillerOh was the last time it appeared in the series and it was MaxOhJa he piloted for episodes 46 and 48. You probably mistaked it for his piloting of KillerOh in Episode 43.
Yeah forgot that part on which mecha Asuka piloted; the whole thing with him and Brachio is just bizarre that he has to use other mecha to fight later on. I think like Oh vs. Kaku we can easily just put it in 40-41 range and that should be fine.
Well the fact that Asuka doesn't "regularly pilot" a mecha is the one of those quirks that I added for the trivia on his page a long time ago of what makes him different from the other Abarangers.
I do agree with the 40-41 thing since I myself also believed that back then, it is better than saying that MaxRyuuOh and AbareMax did not appear and should therefore take place before the KillerGhost incident, but that would also create some plot holes of Mikoto becoming the leader of the Evolians since he created KillerGhost after he did.
Also regarding your edits on 40 and 41, do you think that was the right thing to do? I only ask this because of the lack of continuity the crossover movie had.
One last thing to consider out of regards for Furabiijo and Wendinu in terms of continuity with Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 Years After is not only their getting trapped on Dino Earth in this film and how they would get home (though this is debatable and not as important to add if you do not wish to), but also the "death" of Furabiijo in the Boukenger vs. Super Sentai team-up which is the more important continuity error. Thought I should bring this up since you would have a better way of adding this on the appropriate vs. special pages if you see it as necessary to do so.
I think it's pretty obvious at this point that the Vs. Movies are basically their own universe and not the universe of the intended writers. Heck, it gets messier still with stuff like the original Shurikenger still being alive in Ninninger; but I think that the two evil kunoichi being there isn't that big a deal but worth a mention.
Regardless it is still important to list any continuity errors even if the VS. Films are not considered canon by Toei themselves (which would also remind me of Disney and how they treat any sequels for their animated films as non-existant). But anyway this should complete the updates to the Abaranger vs. Hurricanger page altogether.
There is nothing wrong with adding a song to this page; the problem exists when you just put up lyrics without putting up a properly templated page or categories regarding what the song is. Make sure you follow the song template next time you create a song on this site.
