Melto (メルト Meruto) is RyusoulBlue (リュウソウブルー Ryūsō Burū), the Blue Ranger of the Ryusoulgers and second-in-command to RyusoulRed. In episode 47, he told Kleon to create the second Satan Minosaur from him in a bid to escape Eras' captivity, and temporarily became the host of it until its defeat.

History

Past

Melto, along with Koh and Asuna lived in a hidden village of the Ryusoul Tribe. He and his friends trained day and night in and out to take on the mantle of the noble warriors known as the Ryusoulgers by training with their respective Masters (in Melto's case, Master Blue). When Melto was reading an old manuscript about the village, Asuna with her curiousity wanted to read it. The two fought for the book, until Asuna tore one important page about solving DimeVolcano's quiz. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 11: The Quiz King of Flames

Ryusoulger

When Druidon attacks Earth, which makes Masters Blue and Pink killed, Melto has to change into RyusoulBlue. After Druidon's first attack is thwarted, Melto and his friends realize that there are two other Ryusoulgers.

Melto and Asuna are startled when hearing Kishiryu Tyramigo can talk like a human as a result of learning from television. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 7: Princess of Cepeus

When the Ryusoulgers have to overcome DimeVolcano's quiz to obtain DimeVolcano RyuSoul, Melto remembers seeing informations about the Kishiryu on an old manuscript about the Ryusoul Tribe's village. Shockingly, one page is torn, with Asuna admitting that she had torn it in the past. Later when he is asked by the other Ryusoulgers to face DimeVolcano, he studies very hard by reading many books about quizzes. Finally, when asked by DimeVolcano "the top is flooded, the bottom is flooded," he feels the heaviness of the other Ryusoulgers' hope and almost getting burned. Personality

Melto is characterized by his calm, composed, and studious nature and his intellect and wisdom. He is amazed by new information, such as Ui's father's renditions of prehistoric animals. However, he can be too objective and thus become insensitive to the feelings of others, shown when he considered Triken not as a partner but as a "weapon". Even then, he is still a friendly person at heart.

The Ryusoulger Avataro Gear allows the Core Donbrothers to change into their respective Ryusoulger counterparts, it was used by Shinichi Saruhara to become RyusoulBlue.

  • As RyusoulBlue is the first user of Doshin Armor, this makes Melto the first Ranger in Super Sentai to access a shared upgrade/power-up form before the Red and Sixth Rangers.
