Matacore is a crab-themed elite guard of The Armada sent by Emperor Mavro to help Prince Vekar fight the Super Mega Rangers and conquer Earth. Elite guards are stronger then the average Field Commander.

Character History

Matacore tags along with Argus, Prince Vekar, and a number of XBorgs, so Vekar can declare his mastery on the planet.

Despite having the upper hand, he retreats along with Argus, due to have Prince Vekar being hurt in battle, and is teleported due to the interference of Levira and Damaras.

He returns to Earth, soon afterwards, to battle the Mega Rangers again, this time only with the aid of XBorgs. He is defeated by the Super Mega Rangers using their new Samurai powers and destroyed by the Super Mega Sabers Final Strike.

Matacore is enlarged and overpowered the Legendary Wild Force Megazord, but he was finally destroyed by the new Legendary Samurai Megazord.

Personality

As an elite guard of Marvo, Matacore is headstrong and tought, he will do anything in his power to destroy the Rangers and take over the Earth, but despite this however, he is very loyal to Prince Vekar and will stop the battle to aid him if needed.

Powers and Abilities

Despite being one of the more earlyer monsters in Super Megaforce, Matacore (while not quite as strong as say Shadow Serpent or Rotox and his DX form) is shown to be very powerful, it tooked the Rangers' strongest of weapons to be able to destroy him.

• Strength: Matacore posses a great deal of strength, being able to overpower all five Rangers with ease.
• Hand-To-Hand Combat: In addition to his raw strength, Mantacore is also a skiled fighter, being able to avoid the Rangers' strikes while being able to subduced them.
• Extraordinary Leaper: Matacore can leap at an incredible distance.

Arsenal

• Elite Sword: Matacore carries a sword to aid him in combat, it is very powerful, strong enough to block the Legendary Wild Force Megazord's Mega Roar Final Strike.
  • Energy Slash: Matacore can charge up his sword with blue energy and slash at the enemy with full force.
  • Reflection:  Matacore can reflect an enemies' energy based attack with his sword.
  • Sword Wave: Matacore can charge up his sword with blue energy and fire a blue energy wave from it.

Portrayal

• Matacore is voiced by Richard Simpson who also voiced Galvanax from Power Rangers Ninja Steel.

Notes

• Matacore is the first monster to be faced by the Legendary Samurai Megazord.
• Matacore bears some similarities to Morticon, the major antagonist of Power Rangers Mystic Force.
