Marshmallow Jamen (マシュマロ邪面 Masyumaro Jamen) is a marshmallow-themed silver body Jamenshi of Dark Empire Yodonheim whose dark energy was used to release Hassha Ligany. He is considered to be Takamichi Crystalia’s worst enemy, due to his childhood trauma towards marshmallows.

Powers and Abilities

  • Marshmallow Laser: He can shoot a laser from the small, yellow marshmallow on the left side of his head that turns people into marshmallows. He typically targets women as his victims.
  • Deflection: Due to the elastic nature of his marshmallow-like body, he can deflect any attacks.

  • Freezing: He will lose his elasticity in cold temperatures, thereby making him vulnerable to attack. Despite being frozen, he could still withstand a blast from Hassha Ligany's missiles.

  • Numade (ヌマデ): Like Freezer Jamen, he is armed with a Bechat's staff for combat.
  • Jar: He carries a jar in which he stores the people he has turned into marshmallows.

  • Jamen: Marshmallow

Behind the Scenes

Portrayal

  • Marshmallow Jamen is voiced by Masaya Onosaka (小野坂昌也 Onosaka Masaya), who previously voiced Clock Shadow in Ressha Sentai ToQger vs. Kyoryuger: The Movie.
    • Interestingly, both Marshmallow Jamen and Clock Shadow had the powers to transform regular humans into another form: Marshmallow Jamen was able to transform humans into marshmallows, while Clock Shadow was able to transform humans into children.

Notes

  • Marshmallow Jamen is the first Jamenshi with the following factors:
    • He is the first food-themed Sentai Monster since Omochiloid and OmochiZord from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.
      • He is also the first purely food-themed Sentai Monster to be based on a candy.
    • He is the first Jamenshi not to have the same physical build as his predecessors, primarily due to the presence of a noticeable gut around his midsection.
    • He is the first Jamenshi not to have a common link with his Jamen Beast, in terms of their respective Jamen.
      • He is also the first Jamenshi to die at the same time as his Jamen Beast.
  • His plan to capture humans in order for them to be transformed into food for the villains to eat is similar to Trinoid 15: Tsuribakatsuoribu from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.
    • The main difference between the two monsters is that Tsuribakatsuoribu fished humans in their actual forms and turned them into olives inside his jar, while Marshmallow Jamen transformed humans into marshmallows before putting them in his jar.
      • Additionally, Tsuribakatsuoribu didn't have a specific target, and went after all humans, while Marshmallow Jamen specifically captured women.
