This article is about a ranger in Tensou Sentai Goseiger. |
- "Seaick Power of Life! Gosei Green!"
- ―Gosei Green's roll call.[src]
Magis (マジス Majisu), also known as Gosei Green (ゴセイグリーン Gosei Gurīn), was a member of the Goseigers, specifically of the Seaick Tribe, being the former partner of Hyde (Gosei Blue), and the second Gosei Angel of the sea.
History[]
Prior to Epic 1 (depicted in Epic 10), it was revealed that Magis saved Hyde's life by transforming into Gosei Green and fighting Kurasuniigo of 5000°C. Unfortunately, he perished when he throws both himself and Kurasuniigo off of a cliff in a suicide attack.
Although Kurasuniigo would survive this, he would later be destroyed in the present day by the other Goseigers. Hyde would leave flowers at least once at the place where Magis died in his arms. TV STORY-Epic 10: Hyde's Partner
Unlike many other dead heroes, Magis was never replaced and did not fight in the Great Legend War.
Super Sentai Versus Series Theater[]
Hyde becomes suspicious when he sees Senichi Enari (DekaGreen) in the Dekaranger VS movies, Dekaranger vs. Abaranger and Magiranger vs. Dekaranger due to his similarity to Magis (a nod to both being played by actor Yosuke Ito).

Magis presumably transformed into Gosei Green by putting a Gosei Green Change Card in his Tensouder. Gosei Green is a Seaick Tribe power wielder who fought with the power of a dolphin.

Mecha[]
Gosei Green's mecha is unknown, though he presumably had a Dolphin-themed one, based on his animal design. It is possible but unconfirmed that it was Gosei Dolphin from Gosei Wonder, or a similar mecha.
Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- Magis is portrayed by Yosuke Ito (伊藤 陽佑 Itō Yōsuke), who previously portrayed Sen'ichi "Sen-chan" Enari/DekaGreen in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. As Gosei Green, his suit actor was Yasuhiro Takeuchi (竹内 康博 Takeuchi Yasuhiro), who also served as suit actor for Gosei Red.
- In the Korean dub of Goseiger entitled Power Rangers Miracle Force, which aired in South Korea, Magis keeps his name, while his Ranger designation is "Miracle Green".
Design[]
Gosei Green sported spandex with green upper part and white lower part. The upper part resembled a shirt with a big golden Seaick Tribe crest on the chest. For the accessories, he wore a belt with silver strap and gold buckle with Goseiger crest on it. His helmet bore some motifs: a pair of dolphin head on each side between the visor; the gold Goseiger crest above the visor; and a silver sculpted mouth.
Etymology[]
- Magis' name is based off magis, a Latin word that means "more" or "better".
Ranger Key[]
- "Goseiger!"
- ―Mobilates' Gokai Change announcement[src]
The Gosei Green Ranger Key (ゴセイグリーンレンジャーキー Gosei Gurīn Renjā Kī) is a Ranger Key released as part of the Ranger Key Set: LOST EDITION. It is unknown if it will appear in a future crossover. As with all Ranger Keys, should it exist, it would be able to transform one, i.e. one of the Gokaigers, into Gosei Green.
Notes[]
- His helmet is only seen in an extreme "long shot" in the show. As for the suit itself, according to Mizuho Nogawa, there was originally a Gosei Green costume but it was poorly made and was easily damaged. The episode used footage of the Gosei Blue costume turned green through digital means.
- An official costume was designed and used for a special Gosei Green Ranger Key as part of the "Ranger Key Set Lost Edition" collection in the Premium Bandai toyline; it confirms his animal as a dolphin. The official design was released only when the toy was.
- The back of Magis's jacket shows there is no animal and the animal logo on the front is replaced by a Seaick Tribe emblem.
- Curiously, GoseiGreen appears in an image for the Boom! Studios Power Rangers comics despite the fact that there's no "Green Megaforce Ranger" in Power Rangers Megaforce.
