Love Hate is the thirteenth episode of Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2, and the thirty-fifth episode overall. It features the return of Scrozzle and debut of Sizzurai and Boomblaster.

Synopsis

Ollie tries to ask Amelia out, but a miscommunication leads to Amelia thinking he doesn’t like her. But when she realizes Lord Zedd is involved, the truth comes out.

Plot

Valentine’s Day hits Buzzblast as the company hosts a blind obstacle course for couples to play. Izzy and Fern manage to set a record at twenty-seven seconds. Izzy and Fern are happy, they hug. Though Stan struggles through Anne’s instructions. After the challenge ends, Ollie comes in with daisies and a card, just as Annie rejects Stan as her Valentine. Seeing that causes Izzy to quip how dating co-workers always ends poorly, and she sees Ollie with the flowers. Izzy and Fern ask Ollie who the flowers are for, just as Amelia comes over to see what was going on. Unaware of Amelia's presence, Ollie claims that the flowers are for a girl named Stella who works at Novar Cafe. Izzy greets Amelia, making Ollie realize that she was right behind him. A dejected Amelia coldly points out that daisies are weeds, which upsets Ollie, as he had picked them himself. When Amelia makes a comment suggesting that he had picked the flowers from someone's yard, Ollie storms off, throwing the flowers into the bin while the card drops onto the ground.

At Area 62, Mucus alerts Void Queen and Void King of a guest that arrived: Lord Zedd. Zedd reveals his newest generals for his forces: Sizzurai and Scrozzle, the sole survivor of the Evox Army. Lord Zedd came to ask the Void Family for help in defeating the Rangers, promising to share the Earth with the couple once they do so. Also, Zedd says that thanks to Lothorn’s fight against the Rangers, Scrozzle was able to reclaim his Z Staff from the Crystal Dimension, bringing him back to full power. Zedd wants Scrozzle to build him an army of robots to command, and Void King shows the former blueprints of his two previous generals to use: Boomtower and Snageye. Seeing the two generals in action gives Scrozzle inspiration to create upgraded models of the fallen robots, while Void Queen asks Zedd what his plan is while Scrozzle makes the robots. Zedd says he has a score to settle with the Rangers.

At Dinohenge, Amelia tries to look up information on the Stella girl, only to find the Stella Novarr Café. However, she is spotted by Zayto and Solon and lies that it was another clue to Rafkon. However, Izzy, who had just walked in, figures out what is going on and asks Zayto and Solon to leave her and Amelia alone for a moment Suddenly, Ollie teleports in, causing Amelia to teleport in a huff. Ollie is upset at Amelia for seemingly giving him the cold shoulder. Izzy tells Ollie that she knows he wanted to ask Amelia to be his Valentine as the latter wanted to be his in the first place. Ollie admits that he does like Amelia, but after Izzy made the comment about how co-workers shouldn't date, he panicked and made the Stella thing up. Izzy tells Ollie that telling Amelia the truth will set things right, but he thinks it is too late and leaves to think.

As Ollie sits outside, he tries to think of the right type of text message to send Amelia, only for Sizzurai to confront him. Sizzurai slashes at Ollie with his bladed arm laced with a poison that turns the Blue Ranger into Lord Zedd’s loyal minion.

Back at BuzzBlast, J-Borg finds Ollie’s letter on the ground and gives it to Amelia. Upon opening and reading the card, Amelia realizes that Ollie likes her, and that the flowers were meant for her. She goes off to find him at Dinohenge, where he is downloading information from the database. She tries to talk to him about the card, but the mind-controlled Ollie brushes her off and teleports away, leaving Amelia disheartened. Solon enters the room, and asks Amelia what is wrong. Amelia shows her the card, which Solon finds to be romantic, adding that she sensed a vibe between the two Rangers. Amelia tells her that she blew Ollie off when he was going to give her the card, but explains that she only did it because she got jealous when she heard him talk about liking a girl from the cafe. Solon suggests that she should just try talking to him.

Suddenly, the alarm goes off as several Ranger Hotline calls report Lord Zedd’s location in the Industrial District. The Rangers teleport to the warehouse, but Javi notices that Ollie is not with them. Regardless, Zayto leads the team into the warehouse to spy on Zedd and Void King, only for the two to spot them. Zedd brings out Ollie, who bows to the former as Scrozzle summons his newest creation, Boomblaster. Amelia realizes that this was why Ollie was acting weird earlier. Zedd and Scrozzle leave to create more robots, leaving the Rangers facing Void King, the two generals, and Ollie.

With no other choice, the Rangers morph knowing they would have to fight Ollie. However, Izzy and Javi are reluctant to hurt Ollie despite the latter striking them. Ollie activates the Smash Battle Armor and strikes at Aiyon, cornering the latter. Fortunately, Javi uses the Snooze Key to knock out Ollie, allowing them to take him back to Dinohenge so Solon can remove the poison from his body before it affects his Ranger energy.

Outside, Zayto and Amelia fight against Void King and the two generals, the former using Dino Knight Armor to block an attack Boomblaster uses against the Pink Ranger. After Void King launches a strike that depowers the Dino Knight Armor, Sizzurai uses his pocket gigantifyer to grow. Zayto calls on the T-Rex Champion and Dimetro Blazing Zords, forming the T-Rex Blazing Megazord to face off against Sizzurai. Down on the ground, Void King overpowers Amelia but stops when Boomblaster leaves to help Lord Zedd with something. Sensing something is going on, Void King leaves as Amelia joins Zayto in the cockpit. Soon afterwards, Aiyon and the Garcia siblings arrive in the Ptera Freeze Zord to help, and the power of two Megazords overwhelms Sizzurai. However, even a Blazing Barrage attack fails to destroy Sizzurai, who teleports away after shrinking back to human size.

Back at Area 62, Void King returns to tell Void Queen that Lord Zedd left Earth with the robots they provided him. Void Queen realizes that Zedd used them and angrily breaks Mucus’ fan in a rage.

At Dinohenge, Solon reports that she neutralized the poison in Ollie, but he is still asleep as he needs a jolt to wake up. As the Rangers go off to fill up buckets of water to dump on Ollie, Amelia stays behind and takes a seat next to him before grabbing his hand. Not knowing if he could hear him, she apologizes to the unconscious Ollie for how she reacted back at BuzzBlast before confessing that she likes him. This causes Ollie to wake up from the shock of the news. Ollie reciprocates Amelia’s feelings, admitting that he should have told her the truth earlier. Before they can kiss, the other Rangers see this and are satisfied that they are together. Ollie reveals that he remembered everything when he worked for Lord Zedd and that he knows the latter’s plan. Using his memory reading powers, Zayto sees what Ollie remembered while working with Lord Zedd. After downloading the data about Rafkon from Dinohenge, Ollie gave the stick to Scrozzle, allowing the latter to combine the two messages they found with the one Zedd found long ago. The three parts combine into one complete message that reveals where Rafkon is, the Oynx Nebula. After seeing the memory, Zayto tells Aiyon that he knows where their planet is, but unfortunately, so does Lord Zedd.

• While the unconscious Ollie heals in the medical bay, Solon notes that she must administer an antidote quickly before it affects his "Ranger energy". In Cosmic Fury, more is revealed about Ranger energy corruption and what makes it so dangerous: the Ranger in question becomes completely evil and the only way to turn them good again is to destroy their powers altogether.
