Losers Weepers is the tenth episode of Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2, and the thirty-second episode overall. It features the proper debut of the Primal Ultrazord since its flashback appearances in Ancient History and Waking Nightmares.

Synopsis[]

When Izzy and Aiyon discover treasure, Izzy becomes jealous and Aiyon acts selfishly. But in the end, they both learn a lesson about kindness.

Plot[]

Aiyon and Izzy have a bicycle race through the forest before Aiyon accidentally bumps into Izzy's bike, sending her crashing into some nearby wreckage. As he walked to check up on her, Izzy accuses Aiyon of doing it on purpose and shows her bike now has a bent wheel before they look at the wreck to see it was a jeep that was from Area 62. Upon finding a case, Izzy proclaims it as her find, lecturing Aiyon on the term 'finders keepers, losers weepers.' She is disappointed that what was inside appeared to be a dog collar with spikes while Aiyon finds a case himself, containing money, which he keeps for himself in retaliation. Once they left, Mucus finds and puts on the collar, which causes her to grow giant. While being excited about it, Mucus gets attacked by some birds before hitting some power cables, electrocuting her, turning her into slime and regress back to normal as she reformed. Completely satisfied, Mucus takes the collar back with her to Area 62.

While in the Ranger base, the team is surprised by Aiyon's find as he puts his newfound money in a backpack, with Izzy still on him about her bike. Aiyon argues it was an accident and calls Izzy out for having a temper tantrum over finding a dog collar. Izzy calls Aiyon a jerk in response, causing the latter to teleport away for a frozen yogurt. Annoyed by Izzy's comments, Aiyon goes on a shopping spree with the money, which he starts to wonder while admiring his new jacket, hat and sunglasses.

In Area 62, Santaura has placed Tarrick in the cryo pod, mockingly asking her husband if he's mad of how powerless he is to stop her now. She does not let Slyther nor Wreckmate know that Tarrick was Void Knight, and has them focus on crushing the Rangers. Mucus comes in with the collar and explains to Santaura what it does. Intrigued by the power of the collar, Santaura goes to the machine and pulls out a Sporix Cell. It hatches into Flapnarok, the sister to Draknarok and Santaura tells Mucus to give the former the collar. Mucus refuses to out of the 'finders keepers' rule, but Santaura zaps her and the collar flies into Flapnarok's hands.

The Rangers get an alert of Flapnarok's rampage, shocked how a Sporix Beast grew that quickly. Zayto is unable to get ahold of Aiyon as the latter took his communicator off and had music playing in his headphones. Izzy takes it as Aiyon being a jerk, forcing the five to go without their Gold Ranger. Once they teleport to Pine Ridge, Flapnarok continues to destroy the city, nearly zapping the Rangers in the process. After morphing, the Rangers summon their Zords and form the Megazords. Zayto leads Amelia and Ollie in the Dino Fury Megazord Smash Formation, while the Garcia siblings pilot the Ptera Freeze Zord Battle Mode. They manage to stop Flapnarok from flying to New York, but the Sporix Beast shocks the Ptera Freeze Zord in response. Knowing they need more power, the Rangers combine the Zords into the Ptera Smash Ultrazord. However, none of their attacks work against Flapnarok, and she shoots lightning at them, bringing the Ultrazord down.

The Rangers are ejected from the Ptera Smash Ultrazord as Flapnarok taunts at them. However, Flapnarok soon shrinks back to human size, realizing that the collar ran out of energy. Flapnarok summons the Hengemen as the Rangers try to get the collar out of her hands. However, Flapnarok and the Hengemen overwhelm the team and they retreat to Area 62. As the Rangers regroup, Zayto realizes that they will need a new combination to take down Flapnarok.

Back at the plaza, Pop-Pop runs into Aiyon, impressed with the new threads the latter is wearing. However, Aiyon is not as happy as he thought he would after his massive shopping spree. Aiyon tells Pop-Pop the argument he and Izzy had and he thought retail therapy would help. However, Pop-Pop tells Aiyon that buying new things will not make you happy for too long. Realizing that Pop-Pop has a point, Aiyon gives him his jacket and begins donating all of his purchases to the patrons at the plaza. As he does so, Aiyon begins to feel a bit better.

At Area 62, Flapnarok boasts about the beatdown she gave the Rangers, but added on that she could not continue as the collar ran out of power. Santaura has Mucus charge the collar.

Back at Dinohenge, Solon says there is only one Megazord configuration that has enough power to defeat Flapnarok: the Primal Ultrazord. Zayto is not thrilled about using that configuration and explains to the team why he is hesitant about using it. The Primal Ultrazord is the combination of the T-Rex Champion Zord, the Mosa Razor Zord, and the Ptera Freeze Zord. However, when it was first used in the Sporix Wars 65 million years ago, the power was unstable. One Primal Extreme Blast overloaded the Ultrazord, and it blew up as a result, taking Zayto and Aiyon's teammates lives in the process. Ollie suggests they use modern technology to stabilize the combination, and Solon has a few ideas how they can do so. Hearing that convinces Zayto to give the Primal Ultrazord a chance, but Solon says she will need Aiyon's key for the Mosa Razor Zord. Amelia is unable to get in touch with Aiyon so Izzy goes to get him.

Izzy arrives at the plaza to find Ed, who tells her about Aiyon giving out the stuff he bought before catching up to him, apologizing for the accusation and wondering why he wasn't answering, until he realized he took off his communicator before they return to base. Aiyon hands Solon his key as Flapnarok appears again. Fortunately, Solon's modifications are complete and the Rangers morph.

Solon deploys the T-Rex Champion Zord, the Mosa Razor Zord, and the Ptera Freeze Zord. On Zayto's orders, the three Zords form the Primal Ultrazord for the first time in 65 million years, only this time, the formation is stable. The Rangers confront Flapnarok in the Ultrazord, using its speed to get behind her and toss her through the mountains. After taking Flapnarok through the sky and the ocean, they blast her into space with the Primal Triple Beam. Zayto summons the Megafury Saber as the Rangers finish Flapnarok with the Primal Ultra Blast.

Back at the base, Ollie heaps praise on Solon for the successful modifications as they watch the Primal Ultrazord in action. Aiyon and Izzy apologize to each other about earlier today before Aiyon tells Solon to grab something. Ollie asks Aiyon if there was any money leftover for a new microscope, but he disappointedly tells him there was none left, and used the last of it to buy Izzy a new bike that Solon brings out for her, which she appreciates.

Cast[]

Dino Fury Keys[]

Errors[]

  • After Solon gives Aiyon back his key, the Rangers morph by just pressing their communicators.

Notes[]

  • Total Sporix Beasts Collected:
    • Void Queen: 12
    • Dino Fury Rangers: 16
  • It is unknown who collected Flapnarok' Sporix first after she was defeated, because her Sporix egg is not visible on screen, and it was skipped being seen in this episode. It will be confirmed in later episodes.
  • The music has "The Lick" melody.
  • With the exception of the Megazord fight, this episode hardly uses any Sentai footage. This is because footage of Flapnarok was filmed exclusively for Power Rangers as her counterpart was mostly giant sized.
