Lionsgate Canada, formerly known as Entertainment One and eOne, is a Canadian multinational entertainment company and the former subsidiary of American toy manufacturer Hasbro and currently owned by Lionsgate Studios. Based in Canada, the company is primarily involved in the acquisition, distribution, and production of films, music, and television series.

Following its acquisition by Hasbro in December 2019, eOne became the entertainment arm of the company (replacing Allspark Pictures) and was tasked with creating content from Hasbro’s library of over 1,500 properties including popular brands such as Dungeons & Dragons, Power Rangers and Transformers. Michael Lombardo was the president global television at the studio, charged with leading eOne's TV strategy and overseeing development and production, including adaptations of IP from parent company Hasbro and creating a new slate of premium content for global audiences. Among the film projects the studio had been planning for the future, a Power Rangers reboot movie was in development in the future after Hasbro gained the rights to the franchise.[2] With the sale of the company, the project has been transferred to Hasbro Entertainment and Paramount Global.

On November 17, 2022, just under 3 years after their acquisition, Hasbro announced they were putting eOne up for sale. [3]

On August 3rd, 2023, Hasbro had announced a sale to Lionsgate Entertainment. On December 27, 2023, the sale of the company was completed and given to Lionsgate for $500 million which then splintered eOne into three companies: Lionsgate Canada, Lionsgate Alternative Media and eOne Films. Its television division’s assets were absorbed by Hasbro to become the new Hasbro Entertainment media division of the company.
