This article is about a Ranger in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. |
- "Galaxy Blue!"
- ―Blue Galaxy Ranger's Roll Call[src]
Kai Chen is Galaxy Blue of the Galaxy Rangers and the second-in-command to Galaxy Red.
He is also referred to as Blue Galaxy Ranger or Lost Galaxy Blue Ranger - variations on his in-show label, though the latter is more in reference to the show than a proper label.
History[]
Lost Galaxy[]
Straight-laced, sensible and ambitious, Kai is the classic overachiever. Having been brought up in a strict military family, he always does things by the book and likes everything in its place. His orderly world is turned upside down when he becomes a Power Ranger, and he must learn that sometimes rules are meant to be broken when it comes to saving the universe. He is apparently a good friend of Kendrix Morgan. His fighting style consists of grappling moves and throws, presumably taught by the military.
Kai's strict adherence to the rules initially causes much conflict with Leo but after an incident in which the Quasar Sabers were stolen, Kai warms up to him considerably.
Kai was responsible for the majority of the meals the Rangers ate aboard Terra Venture. When a lovesick Kai rendered himself bed-ridden for several days after a romantic letdown, the other Rangers complained about the lack of decent food to eat, as Kai was the Galaxy Ranger who either had the greatest cooking expertise or the only one who was willing to cook for the group.

Trakeena's Return[]
One year later, after the apparent destruction of Trakeena, who managed to survive the attack from Leo's Battlizer, Trakeena went to Earth and form an alliance with the Demon Warrior Triskull, who kidnaps people, stealing their life energy so Trakeena can return to her insectoid form.
Kai pulls the Blue Quasar Saber once more, aware of the situation about Trakeena's return, he and Maya go to Earth to help the Lightspeed Rangers against Trakeena.
Kai and Maya now morphed, attack with a flying kick on some Ghouls, helping Carter Grayson the Lightspeed Red Ranger. Kai defeated various Ghouls in hand to hand combat, with all the Ghouls defeated, the three Rangers take Heather back to the Lightspeed Aquabase.
In the Aquabase, everyone meets, the three Galaxy Rangers. All eight Rangers head for the hills with Heather, and find Triskull.
Triskull summons an army of Ghouls from the ground, Kai and the other Rangers morphed, and Kai along with Maya and Leo helps the Lightspeed Rangers, using specials attacks from their Quasar Sabers destroyed all the Ghouls. After Carter powers up his Battle Booster and charges at Triskull but he is easily overpowered. Kai with Maya and Leo were going to attack Triskull but they are attacked by Triskull's ray easily overpowering them, all eight Rangers are attacked by Triskull's lightning spit. Teaming up with the Lightspeed Rangers[]
Kai and the Rangers are defeated on the ground, Triskull leaves the place and the Rangers devised a plan for all the people to leave the building. The Rangers prepare a raid on the thirteenth floor disguised as firemen, when Heather actives the fire alarm as part of the plan, all the people evacuating the building.
After all the people leave the building, Kai, Maya and the rest of the Lightspeed Rangers saved his Galaxy Ranger teammates and Carter, with the Rescue Rover airbag.
Prince Olympius arrives with his crew, and he dares to take on the team of Rangers. Kai and the other Rangers morphed, and all the Rangers divide into groups of two to fight against the Batling army.
Kai team up with Chad Lee his Blue Ranger successor. They easily defeated several Batlings, while fighting against the Demon warrior Loki.
Both Ranger teams attack Olympius, Vypra and Jinxer, Kai and his Galaxy Ranger teammates attack with a burst of energy with each color of each Ranger, while the Lightspeed Rangers attack alongside with them with their Thermo Blasters.
Olympius throws the poisoned dagger into Trakeena's lab. He pollutes the energy feed going to Trakeena. She mutates, but not as she expected and she is now a giant, tentacled, fire-breathing monstrosity rampaging through Mariner Bay. The Lightspeed Rangers turn to the Omega Megazord and the Max Solarzord. Just when the Galaxy Rangers wish the Galactabeasts were on Earth, they show up.
The Galaxy Rangers join the battle with the Galaxy Megazord. The Omega and Galaxy Megazords combine their special attacks and fire at Trakeena but she still lives. The resulting explosion disengages the Galaxy Megazord, Kai and the Galaxy Rangers are knock unconscious.
The Omega Megazord lifts the fallen Rangers, and it is powered up by the Lights of Orion, gaining the familiar Orion armor. The Omega Megazord powers its weapon up as well as the Galaxy Megazord Saber (complete with Lightspeed insignia) and ultimately destroys Trakeena for good.
The Lightspeed Rangers convince the Galaxy Rangers to stay on Earth as they believe Mariner Bay needs a second team of Rangers but the Galaxy Rangers are still needed on Mirinoi. The two Rangers bid farewell to each other later. He then returns to Mirinoi. TV STORY-Trakeena's Revenge, Pt.2

She recalls that Psycho Red’s obsession over Andros led to the Psycho Rangers' destruction as the footage of the Psycho Rangers being destroyed by both the Space Rangers and Galaxy Rangers is shown.
