Jyo Akuse (阿久瀬 錠 Akuse Jō) is a police officer who transforms into Bun Black (ブンブラック BunBurakku), the Black Ranger of the Boonboomgers.
History[]
Meeting the Boonboomger[]
He appears towards the end of the pilot episode starting his shift and becomes a victim of Wedding Dress Grumer’s attack, only to be freed after its demise at the hands of the Boonboomgers. TV STORY-Bakuage 1: Deliverer's Handle He arrived on a bicycle to where Soujiki Grumer is sucking up everything, he ended up catchting the attention of it, and becomes the main target of the Hashiriyan, grabbing onto a street lamp to not be sucked in, until is saved by three BoonBoongers, surprised of the "tire humans" he is seeing and is knocked out by a falling sign. TV STORY-Bakuage 2: The Informant Does Not Approve He tried to stop the TV STORY-Bakuage 3: The Driver Won't Stop
Joining the Boonboomgers[]
He arrests Boon Pink to be interrogated by Shirabe Saibu, he is present during it and is called of as a bistander by BoonPink when she is accused to be accomplice in the Bummers incidents, Taiya Hando interrupt the communication and take them their base, their negotiation is cut short by a Gramer alarm. Initialy he relunctanlty tried to stop the Boonbomgers to go by orders of Shirabe Saibu, but end following for her sense of duty, assisting them by evacuate the people. After it back in the secret base he is asigned as a contact point of the team. TV STORY-Bakuage 4: A Voice Calling For a Hero
As the contact point, he express the desire and solicite join the team as a Boonboomger, he is quickly rejected by Hando. While walking processing the rejection, he see a Grumer, alert the team and archive to help the people involved allowing them to escape, and leading the groomer to a warehouse, he is overpowered but the team arrive in time to help him. After demonstrating his determination and give him a satisfactory answer, he receive the Boonboom change axe, transform into Bun Black and defeat the groomer. Personality[]
Jyo is a "police man", a rookie cop who is passionate about justice. He usually patrols the town on his bicycle as a uniformed police officer. He is a serious and aggressive person. He is more rigid than flexible, and is confident in his physical strength.[1]

- Bakuage Crash: Boonboom Rod Drive (ブンブンロッドドライブ Bunbun Roddo Doraibu): This finisher has three variations:
- Bun Black charges the Boonboom Change Axe in Rod Mode with yellow energy. He then jumps and slashes the Kurumaju in a parallel yellow slash, following a vertical yellow slash to destroy the Kurumaju.
- Bun Black launches a yellow energy blade from the Boonboom Change Axe in Rod Mode and converts it to Handle Mode to steer the blade into the Kurumaju.
- Bun Black sprints off to perform a front kick on the Kurumaju, using the Boonboom Change Axe in Rod Mode to repeatedly jab multiple times with yellow illuminating blades. He finishes it off by activating the wheel on the Boon Boot to perform a powerful downward kick.
- Bakuage Finish: Bakuage Handle Drive (爆上げフィニッシュ:爆上げハンドルドライブ Bakuage Finisshu: Bakuage Handoru Doraibu): This finisher has two variations:
- Bun Red forms a “no entry” street symbol with the Boonboom Handle in Rod Mode. Bun Red, Bun Blue, Bun Pink fires energy shots while Bun Black and Bun Orange deliver energy slashes from the Boonboom Change Axe in Axe Mode & Rod Mode that blast through the Kurumaju. Afterwards, they use Handle Mode to drive the shots and blades towards the Kurumaju hitting the monster on the symbol.
- Bun Red forms a “no entry” street symbol with the Boonboom Handle in Rod Mode. Then all five Boomboomgers use Rod & Axe Modes to deliver a series of energy slashes to the Kurumaju in high speed, hitting the monster on the symbol.
- Bakuage Finish: Bakuage Go Handle Drive (爆上げフィニッシュ:爆上げゴーハンドルドライブ Bakuage Finisshu: Bakuage Gō Handoru Doraibu): Bun Red forms a “no entry” street symbol with the Boonboom Handle in Rod Mode. Then Bun Red, Bun Blue, Bun Pink, Bun Black and Bun Orange deliver energy attacks as Go-On Red shoots out Speedor from the Mantan Gun. The energy attacks combine with Speedor as the mecha drives though the opponent with Bun Red using Handle Mode to steer it back to finish the Kurumaju, hitting the Kurumaju on the symbol.

Jyo Akuse is portrayed by Ryu Saito (齋藤 璃佑 Saitō Ryū).[1] As Bun Black, his suit actor is Shigeki Ito (伊藤 茂騎 Itō Shigeki). This is his first role as a Black Ranger.[3]

- His surname is a pun on the Japanese word "Accel" (アクセル Akuseru), which means accelerator. His first name means "Lock" (錠 jō).
