Jun Ikeda (池田 純 Ikeda Jun), better known under his stage name Junya Ikeda (池田 純矢 Ikeda Jun'ya), is a Japanese actor who portrays Gai Ikari/Gokai Silver in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, a role he reprised in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. He had also voiced Go-On Red in Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.
Biography[]
In 2006, he won 2nd prize in the Junon Superboy Contest.
In 2011, he took the stage name Junya and appeared in Gokaiger throughout.
In 2013, he began a voice acting career, with his first role in the anime Majestic Prince. Ikeda later voiced Mitsuru Tenma in Ensemble Stars! and Joe Kido in Digimon Adventure tri., which also starred his co-star Mao Ichimichi. In 2023, he was the voice of Millions Knives in Trigun: Stampede.
Personal Life[]
- Ikeda is the youngest cast member of the Gokaigers and is a huge Super Sentai fan like his character, Gai. As a child, he wanted to be KibaRanger[1], which was honored in Episode 19 and the Gokaiger vs. Gavan movie.
- In 2018, he revealed that he has been married since 2016 and has two children.[2]
Legal Issues[]
On October 30, 2023, Ikeda was arrested in connection with a scam and fired from his agency. An investigation revealed that Ikeda had impersonated a police officer and took money from someone. He was arrested again a month later for withdrawing 1.5 million yen from a victim's bank account.[3]

publicly expressed his disappointment with Ikeda's actions and condemned his crimes.[4]
On October 12, 2024, Ikeda was sentenced to 3 years in prison for his crimes, through his X account, he mentions that fans who still believe in him will be able to visit him and fight against the loneliness that surrounds him and here he also mentions his real name, Jun Shimogaito.[5]
