- "Our first order of business is to let the humans know that there is a new master in town."

- "What? Traitors! No!"
- ―Jellica's final words before her destruction.[src]
Jellica was the Sea Overlord and the holder of the Jellyfish spirit. She was a staff wielding mistress who could neutralize her opponents' physical attacks, by having them pass right through her, as she could turn into water. She was also Dai Shi's second teacher after Carnisoar.
History[]
Jellica was revived by Camille, so Dai Shi could train under her, instead of Carnisoar. However, at first, she forced Camille to be her student and had her attack the Rangers, after she personally defeated the Jungle Pride Megazord, without any trouble. When Camille couldn't follow her orders, she attacked her, with Lily going to her aid, followed by Dai Shi, who defeated Jellica in a brief fight. By then, she revealed that her mentoring of Camille was a test to see if Dai Shi truly desired her power, becoming Dai Shi's new mentor, teaching him to harness his deceit as power. She helped Dai Shi and Carnisoar to try destroying the Rangers by reviving the White Shadow Guard. She referred to Camille as "Lizard". TV STORY-Pushed to the Edge
When Grizzaka was revived, Jellica sided with him, probably out of fear. TV STORY-Friends Don't Fade Away During the events at the Rhino Nexus, Jellica battled Dominic and overwhelmed him with her abilities, until he made a comeback and forced her to retreat. While Grizzaka was fighting Theo, Lily, RJ, and Dominic, Jellica attempted to steal the Crystal Eyes, while Jarrod was preoccupied with his fight with Casey. TV STORY-Arise the Crystal Eyes
After Grizzaka's destruction, Jellica revealed she managed to reclaim the three Crystal Eyes she and Carnisoar gathered for Grizzaka. Angered and spiteful that Dai Shi had betrayed her, she revived the Phantom Beast Generals to get her revenge on him, likely aware of the hatred they had towards Dai Shi during the first Beast War. Confident that Dai Shi was done for, she was instead surprised when the three attacked her instead, destroying her with a blast of their own energy. TV STORY-Fear and the Phantoms
Despite her treachery, she was revived for the final Beast War but was destroyed again by the 7 Pai Zhuq Masters. TV STORY-Now the Final Fury
Personality[]
Jellica was manipulative and calculating. She enjoyed mocking her enemies and was deceitful to them. She also had difficult relationships with her allies. Though at first appreciative of Camille for reviving her, Jellica soon became cruel and harsh on Camille. She also enjoyed playing tricks. She made Dai Shi believe she wanted to train Camille instead of him, and that he should be a servant instead. However, later revealed she wanted to see just how much Dai Shi really wanted her to train him. She at first seemed at odds with Carnisour, due to him being hostile to her during their first encounter after Jellica was revived, and her mocking him. However, after that they were good friends. Carnisour called her the Queen of trickery and mind games. After the revival of Grizzaka, Jellica and Carnisour both betrayed Dai Shi in favour of him as their new master (likely out of fear) and became loyal to him. She begged Grizzaka to succeed in killing the rangers because she was scared Dai Shi would destroy her, however she didn’t mourn Grizzaka after he was destroyed suggesting she never really cared about him. She expected those she helped be loyal to her, and after reviving the Phantom Beasts she believe they would treat her as a Queen. However, after she ordered them to destroy Dai Shi and Camille, she was shocked and cursed them in fury.

Etymology[]
- Jellica's name comes from Jellyfish and Angelica.
Notes[]
- With Japanese children's programming guidelines much more lenient than those of the United States, Jellica's Gekiranger counterpart Rageku was able to have a rather revealing costume with realistic breasts. Due to this, in order to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to her chest, in scenes with Jellica filmed specifically for Jungle Fury, the jellyfish covering her chest was altered to cover her breasts more fully.
- A similar modification was made to the Ranger-like suit for Camille earlier in the series, and was made two years earlier to the suit for Necrolai in Mystic Force.
- She is the only Overlord to not be destroyed by the Rangers.
- Jellica can be seen as a member of the audience of Galaxy Warriors in Power Rangers Ninja Steel, in the Warrior Dome where "Galaxy Warriors" was filmed.
