- "I can disguise myself and trick him into giving ME the Lights of Orion first! Destruxo won't know the difference, and poor Treacheron will never know what hit him! Ha ha ha ha!"
- ―Impostra after shapeshifting into Treacheron.[src]
- "You were merely a pawn in the master plan. I'd like to thank you for getting the Lights of Orion for me!"
- ―Impostra after revealing herself to Destruxo.[src]
- "Don't think you've won yet! I'll be back."
- ―Impostra's final words.[src]
Impostra was a Medusa-themed shapeshifting monster.
History
During Scorpius's invasion of the Magna Defender's planet 3000 years ago, Impostra was among the several monsters looting valuable jewels. The Magna Defender attempted to stop the monsters but was ambushed by Scorpius, who held his son Zika captive. Impostra grabbed the hero's arm and forced him to watch as Scorpius murdered Zika. Impostra then left the planet alongside Scorpius's forces. TV STORY-The Sunflower Search
Much later, Impostra approached Trakeena after Treacheron's monster Destruxo managed to steal the Lights of Orion. Trakeena expressed frustration over Treacherous possibly earning her father's favor and thus gaining more power. Impostra offered to help sabotage Destruxo by shapeshifting into Treacheron and taking the Lights for herself.
As Treacheron, Impostra manipulated Destruxo into testing out the Lights of Orion while also gifting him with a bone serpent necklace. Elsewhere, Trakeena convinced Scorpius of Treacheron's betrayal and imprisoned her rival. When Destruxo attempted to use the Lights of Orion to defeat the Power Rangers, Impostra revealed herself. Her serpent necklace had tricked Destruxo, prompting her to try and take the Lights back into her urn. The Magna Defender ambushed the two monsters and shot Impostra out of a tree with his Magna Blaster. Impostra, realizing she was outmatched, fled the battle but declared she would return. Despite her last words, Impostra did not return. It's possible she was destroyed off-screen or that Impostra was simply on board the Scorpion Stinger when it crashed.
Personality
Impostra was a manipulative and deceitful monster who enjoyed using her shapeshifting powers to cause chaos and confusion. Impostra showed a degree of loyalty to Trakeena, but seemed to have her own agenda to gain power within Scorpius's army.

Behind the Scenes
Portrayal
- Impostra is voiced by Nancy Van Iderstine.
Design
- Impostra's design is based on the gorgon Medusa. Similar to Medusa, Impostra had snake-like hair and had a scaly body. Her costume was later repurposed for the monster Maronda, and they both use similar masks.
Etymology
- Impostra's name is based on "imposter".
Notes
- Her Sentai counterpart was destroyed by Treacheron's Sentai counterpart after he learned that she had framed him. This was originally going to happen in Power Rangers, as well, in the episode "Shark Attack" but was allegedly cut for time constraints.
- Her monster suit would later be repainted and re-used for Maronda. Their Sentai counterparts are sisters.
- It is possible that Trakeena could have called upon Impostra again, if Impostra is still alive, had Deviot not returned and fused with Trakeena.
