Image Comics is an American comic book publisher based in Berkley, California. It was founded in 1992 by seven prolific artists of the 1990s as a means of bypassing unfair copyright tactics used by publishers of the comic book industry which prevented them from having ownership of the characters they created. Famous titles of the brand include Spawn, Savage Dragon and Hack/Slash.

They are notable in the early days for having an "extreme" style of art which went against the conventional art of comics (Massive exaggerated muscles, pointed feet and excessive use of weapons and violence etc.). This style was used to create a Power Rangers Zeo comic in 1996. More comic books were planned, including a Zeo crossover with Rob Liefeld's superhero team Youngblood, but for unknown reasons they lost the license to Power Rangers and the books were cancelled.
