History[]
Hymeno is the beautiful queen of Ishabana. She originally was the princess and lived with her parents, the former king and queen. One day in her childhood, a massive swarm of cicada-like Shugods swarmed her kingdom. Hymeno was helping her parents treat the citizens of their kingdom when a black-hooded figure came out of nowhere and injected a poison into her parents' bodies that quickly took their lives. All Hymeno could do from there was watch as the hooded figure escaped with the help of one of the cicadas.
This incident would later be known as the Wrath of God, and Hymeno immediately become the newest Monarch of Ishabana despite her very young age. Although the people of Ishabana try to alleviate Hymeno's grief by creating an anime called "Together with Moffun", the incident still deeply traumatized the young queen, to the point of her accusing Jeramie Brasieri as the perpetrator of said incident due to him owning a Cicada Shugod.

3 Years prior, when she was crowned queen, she encountered Romane Dearborn, the duke of the Dearborn family, about to disfigure his face. She found him and kicked away the scissors he was going to use, instead offering him the position of her butler. Present Day[]
Hymeno and the other rulers attend to the establishment of the Quintent Alliance in the case of the Bug Naraku reawakening though it doesn't go through due to Yanma leaving. Herself, Rita, and Kaguragi transform to lead the soldiers into the fight as the Bug Naraku destroy more of their fortifications, protecting Gira for a small while as she fought Sanagim. TV STORY-Ep. 1: I am the King
After hearing about Gira, she uses God Kamakiri and brings Gira and Yanma into Ishabana. She has Gira restrained and demands him to hand God Kuwagata over, or she will extradite him to Rcules Husty but Gira refuses, actually wanting to face Rcules. They do agree that Gira will talk with the Shugod in exchange for Rainbow Jururira and Gira begins to have disappointing opinions of her, not approving how she runs her kingdom but after realizing that the queen's selfishness is for the benefits of her people, she earns his respect. TV STORY-Ep. 3: Devotion to Selfishness After Gira is captured by Rita, the judge visits Hymeno for a DNA test. Her study found that Rcules and Gira are actually related, proving Gira's birthright in taking the OhgerCalibur. When the Bug Naraku army once again invades Gokkan, the now complete Ohsama Sentai fights the new Bug Naraku army. TV STORY-Ep. 5: The King of Winter is Coming
After the Shugods are put out of commission, she and Yanma debate on how to fix them and how the Wrath of God affected her life. She told the president that she planned to take God Scorpion apart as vengeance for her parent's death but she has stop to battle Bug Naraku. She later talks with God Scorpion, earning her trust and forming a bond with the Shugod. TV STORY-Ep. 7: Wrath of God During the battle of the Husty brothers, Hymeno and the other rulers save Gira and keep Gira "dead". TV STORY-Ep. 8: King and Prince in Trial by Combat She is shortly taken down by Dezunaraku in Ishabana, with the monster threatening to destroy all of Chikyu with his cocoons TV STORY-Ep. 9: Gira on the Run but with a miracle and determination, she and the royals summon Legend King-Ohger, destroying the cocoons and coming together as the Ohsama Sentai. Hymeno like the other rulers didn't believe that Jeramie is the author of the King-Ohger tale but knows that he has God Scorpion's Shugod Soul and kidnaps the Spider Man to get it back, he gives it to her as a peace offering TV STORY-Ep. 12: The Sixth King but after Yanma's prank with his Venomix, he takes it back from her and summons God Tarantula along a Cicada Shugod resembling the ones that were active during God's Wrath. Scorpi follows Jeramie but Hymeno denotes it as mind control TV STORY-Ep. 13: Angry Spider and in a fury, hunts down Jeramie with God Kamakiri for questioning. She almost kills him in a fury but was stopped by Geroujim. Despite everyone telling her that Jeramie isn't the culprit, she was still furious due to Jeramie not taking her grief seriously but after proof of Jeramie's innocence as well as an apology from Jeramie himself, she forgave him while Jeramie gained a new respect for Hymeno. TV STORY-Ep. 14: Together with Moffun
Rita meets up with Hymeno and hands the queen a sample of the toxin used to kill Karras to be analyzed. With the Hymeno's help, it was finally discovered that a person did indeed cause the Wrath of God, making Hymeno and Rita grow closer together. TV STORY-Ep. 16: The 10-Year-Old Chief Justice Hymeno later appears in N'Kosopa after relentless Bug Naraku attacks due to Rcules' "peace treaty", per requested by Yanma, she helped evacuate N'Kosopa when Daigorg made his appearance. TV STORY-Ep. 17: The King Does Not Flee After helping form the new treaty to make the Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, Hymeno and Kaguragi had the citizens of Shugodam be given treatment and helped beat the Bug Naraku out of Shugodom. TV STORY-Ep. 19: Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger After Gira is made King of Shugodom, she didn't hesitate to take advantage of Gira, beating him in a piano contest and demanding to have everyone in Shugodam dress up like Ishabana. Imprisonment[]
Hymeno was charged with the crime of worldwide simultaneous arson and imprisoned in Gokkan. She had allegedly set 1,000 megaton fireworks off that flew into each country and set all of Chikyu ablaze.[1]
Time Skip[]
After the Uchu make their appearance, Hymeno beats Hilbil out of Ishabana. TV STORY-Ep. 27: Arrival of The Uchu King Later, she is violently struck down by a brainwashed Kuroda, causing Chikyu's peace treaties to go out of whack so she along with the other King-Ohgers planned to take blame but Jeramie stepped in, taking the blame all himself. Disgusted by what Hilbil forced Jeramie to sacrifice, she and the other King-Ohgers relentlessly and mercilessly fought Hilbil but she escaped unscathed. TV STORY-Ep. 29: Disqualified as King The next day, she is face to face with the man that murdered her parents, Glodi. Glodi attacks her kingdom with Rita preparing to seal him away forever along with themself but Hymeno stop them, not wanting to lose them to Glodi as well. TV STORY-Ep. 30: Frozen Scales
Kings and Kyoryus[]
Dagded, furious at being tricked by the King-Ohgers simply sends them to an enslaved Earth, where Hymeno and her team meet the 37th Super Sentai, the Kyoryugers (except King, Utsusemimaru and Amy) and a young man from the future called Prince. She quickly realizes that she can't transform but helps bring back Earth's Melody and beat Debo Senking as well as Kabutoshin Deboth, fighting alongside Rita and Amy Yuuzuki before leaving to Chikyu. Taking Chikyu Back[]
Upon returning to Chikyu, Kamejim took over Ishabana. He had poisoned multiple citizens and the queen herself, but she thankfully got through and freed herself from prison. She then removed Kamejim from the throne and reclaimed Ishabana. TV STORY-Ep. 36: Hymeno's Matchmaking Strategy After Rcules' is given a stay at execution, Hymeno tries to use her King's Proof power of life removal on Glodi, to no avail. After Glodi vanishes, she teams up with Jeramie and his power of eternal life to make Glodi killable. TV STORY-Ep. 46: Know the Beauty of Life
After a new God's Wrath was started by Glodi, Hymeno and her nurses helped tend to those that were wounded by the event. She later helped beat Glodi in King-Ohger with her team. TV STORY-Ep. 47: Silence God After most of the Jesters had been slain, Yanma suggested evolving the Ohsama Gattai King-Ohger one last time by combining the powers of their King's Proofs to match the galactic might of their enemy. However, Dagded arrives and beats the King-Ohgers, deciding to simply clean up Chikyu himself. Hymeno had given her King's Proof to Sebastian, in hopes that the people would carry on the fight while she and the other King-Ohgers fought off Dagded long enough for the people to leave Chikyu. During the war, she gave herself sometime to rest when her dead parents had come and helped take care of the injured fighters as a smile grew her face to see them again. TV STORY-Ep. 49: The Kings Are Here The King-Ohgers rejoin the war and beat Dagded by forming the Ultimate King-Ohger and reluctantly having to sacrifice the Shugods. In the future, Chikyu is at peace. The rulers discuss making the kingdoms one trying to find a name for the fused kingdom. Donbrothers vs King-Ohger[]
In Ishabana, Rita and Hymeno are enjoying the newest Moffun's film. Rita is crying for the touch of the film with Hymeno is giving concern and thinks if the series is bad for Rita. But when both are talking about their view for the film, Haruka and Sonoza cut their talk because of Haruka's view on the film is for kids despite its goodness while Haruka aims to make a film for all ages. Haruka's view is argued by Rita because Rita views kids as a pure being and not to be underestimated with Sonoza agrees with Rita. As four of them are arguing, Minoru enters and initially trying to pull their attention to him. But Minoru is pissed off and performs a surprise attack because he is completely ignored. Because all four of them are off guard, they are killed from the assault. The dead Sentai teams of the King-Ohgers and Donbrothers fight in Hakabaka, with Hymeno and Haruka fighting together against Sonoza and Rita, but Minoru arrives and attacks them. With one enemy to fight, the King-Ohgers and Donbrothers beat the monster together and all parties are going out of Hakabaka as if they are not even remembering that they are dead. Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger in Space[]
During the tournament, Gira learns that Hymeno Ran and the President of the Space Federation are sponsoring the event. The Ishabana queen informs Gira that she is targeting the gem embedded in Donking's forehead. After, Donking refuses to reward Prince and instead summons Machine Beast Bara Breaker to eliminate him, the tournament is raided by Doggie Kruger and the other King-Ohgers and she with her team and alongside Tsurugi Otori and Doggie Kruger, proclaims their commitment to protect the universe. Personality[]
Hymeno is a rather complex individual, being both selfish and generous. While she seemingly does things only for herself, she truly cares for others, especially for her kingdom Ishabana. She is completely obsessed with her appearance and revels in her beauty. She believes herself to be the most gorgeous woman in existence and is particularly fond of her hair.
Hymeno is also a skilled medical professional who treats her subjects with the best care she can give. Due to her spoiled nature, Hymeno will sometimes be demanding and ask for absurd things, such as having her own butler put on aged makeup and changing his name to Sebastian to better fit the role, or demolishing a dilapidated house that blocks her view of the flower garden her servants planted with dynamite, though she provided the owners of the house with a brand new home. If she is enraged during battle, she will go into a fit of a noblewoman's laugh and wildly attack her foes.
Due to the tragic events known as the Wrath of God killing both of Hymeno's parents and leaving her an orphan at a young age, she becomes very emotional upon the subject being brought up. She has been seen lashing out in rage as a result, with such rage leading to her desiring to tear up God Scorpion to create an antidote to avenge her parents, fighting Jeramie Brasieri upon mistaking him for the tragedy, and angrily confronting Glodi Leucodium fifteen years after he had killed her parents. Despite her losses, she is unwilling to lose any more individuals she cares about even when said people manage to capture the man responsible, stopping Rita Kaniska and even hugging them, crying and considering them a friend.

- Energy Raptorials: By using the command of Ryouga Issen (凌牙一閃 Ryōga Issen, lit. Flashing Fang), Kamakiri Ohger can summon God Kamakiri's raptorials on her legs, allowing her to deliver devastating attacks.

- Gira Husty/Kuwagata Ohger: Hymeno kidnapped him because he was interesting for her, and because she knew of his ability to talk with the Shugods. Initially wanting him for a trade to use King-Ohger, she becomes his ally after Rcules indirectly ordered an invasion via Kaguragi Dybowski towards her kingdom despite the purpose is only being to retrieve Gira Husty from her. Gira did not like her at first, believing her to be a selfish brat but after realizing that the queen's selfishness is for the benefits of her people, she earns his respect.
- Yanma Gast/Tombo Ohger: Yanma initially showed romantic interest in Hymeno. However, after Hymeno showed her obsession with pretty things, Yanma seemingly lost his interest and started bickering with the queen, claiming that he can't stand her. Nevertheless, they tend to work well in battle and Yanma knows to rely on her when it comes to evacuation and nursing.
- Rita Kaniska/Papillon Ohger: Hymeno has expressed that she is able to relate to Rita through their losses and helped Rita on their case relating to Gokkan's previous Sovereign. Hymeno also is very appreciative towards Rita for being the only one who believed her and proved that the Wrath of God incident was caused by a man. Hymeno even went as far as to prevent Rita from imprisoning Glodi, even hugging, crying and calling them a friend.
- Kaguragi Dybowski/Hachi Ohger: Hymeno seems to have neutral feelings towards Kaguragi. While frustrated with his deceitful nature, particularly his loyalty to Rcules, they seem to get along well enough to work together in battle.
- Jeramie Brasieri/Spider Kumonos: Hymeno initially showed no interest in Jeramie aside from him taking God Scorpion's Shugod soul and later Hymeno accused Jeramie as the mastermind behind the Wrath of God incident due to him owning a Cicada Shugod. However, after learning that Jeramie was hibernating at the time from Rita, Hymeno forgave him and Jeramie finally acknowledged her as a True Queen.
- Rcules Husty/Ohkuwagata Ohger: Hymeno deemed him an enemy for making an attack towards Ishabana, just as she was about to assist her citizens after the ambush from Bug Naraku's troops. After the truth of Rcules and Shugodom's connection to the Jesters was revealed, along with the other kings, Hymeno advocated for him to receive a lesser sentence.

- The face design of Kamakiri Ohger's helmet is based on the overhead view of a praying mantis, the visor is shaped to represent a mantis claws.
Etymology[]
- Hymeno Ran's name comes from the Japanese word for "orchid mantis" (ランハナカマキリ Ranhanakamakiri) and its scientific name Hymenopus coronatus.[2] When read aloud, Hymeno's name sounds similar to "Orchid Princess" (姫の蘭 Hime no Ran).
