Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Bomb Hurricane (秘密戦隊ゴレンジャー 爆弾ハリケーン Himitsu Sentai Gorenjā: Bakudan Harikēn) is the fourth theatrical film based on Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. It was originally shown on July 22, 1976 (between episodes 56 and 57 of the TV series) as part of the Toei Manga Matsuri film festival. It was the only Gorenger film that was a completely original work and not a theatrical version of a TV episode, thus making it the first original Super Sentai film.
Synopsis[]
The Gorengers head for Matsuyama to prevent the Black Cross from firing a missile to destroy Japan.
Plot[]
Wishing to achieve victory, the Black Cross Army has concocted a plan to use a missile to destroy Japan. A missile base is built in Matsuyama, and the targets for the attacks are Hokkaido, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Shikoku and Kyushu prefectures. Golden Mask voices his worries of the Gorengers interfering with their plans; it is then Black Cross Führer announces he has deployed the fearsome Steel Sword Dragon.
The Gorengers, having learnt of their plans, head to Matsuyama on board the "Sunflower" cruise liner. On the ship, the Gorengers detect a spy on board the ship as they find spy equipment belonging to a woman. They all follow her throughout the ship, a notice her meeting up with a man named Ken Ito. They discover missile blueprints in his room, and they follow the pair even after they have left the ship.
The Gorengers follow them to a hotel, where they learn Ken is a weapons smuggler who smuggled a missile onto the island. It is then Akira is assaulted by a group of Zolders, where he calls for the Varidorin. The other Gorengers follow Ken and the girl, who then encounter a group of Zolders. They fight, and later the team encounters Steel Sword Dragon. Steel Sword Dragon survives the Gorenger Hurricane, and Ken escapes with the woman. The Gorengers then give chase to Ken and the woman on boat.
The Gorengers catch up with the pair on the island, where the woman is revealed to be Black Cross Führer himself in disguise. The Gorengers meet up and battle the Zolders as well as Steel Sword Dragon. Unfortunately, the Black Cross Army manage to escape to their base.
The Gorengers find their base just as the missile launches. The missile is destroyed by the Varidorin, and the Gorengers drill into the Black Cross Army's base with the Varitank. The Gorengers destroy the base, and later face off against Steel Sword Dragon once more. Steel Sword Dragon is finally destroyed using the Bomb Hurricane: All-Five Attack.
Continuity and Placement[]
- Due to Daigoro Kumano being Kirenger instead of Daita Oiwa and Nobuo Yana played the Black Cross Führer, this movie can easily take place anywhere between episodes 56 and 67, with no problems around its airing date in theaters.

- Gorenger Bomb Hurricane: All-Five Attack
- As the first wholly original Sentai film, this starts the tradition of movies featuring original attacks, as it features the only appearance of the titular Gorenger Bomb Hurricane, a stronger version of the Gorenger Hurricane in which all five Gorengers produce Gorenger Hurricane balls and kick them at a Black Crusader, due to his immunity to the regular attack.
