Hikaru Hiwatari (日渡 氷狩 Hiwatari Hikaru) is a young ESPer with the ability to teleport inanimate objects.
Biography
Dekaranger
Originally a street wanderer, he hates humans because they mistreat him due to his powers, and wants to leave the planet as soon as possible. This is taken advantage of by an Alienizer named Dagonail, who uses him for his crimes. However, Jasmine manages to convince him to trust in her, and after Dagonail's defeat, Hikaru leaves the planet to join the S.P.D. training academy.
TV STORY-Episode. 08: Rainbow Vision
He later returns to Earth as an S.P.D. academy graduate and works for the Earth branch, eventually marrying Jasmine. They have a son, who has inherited both their ESPer powers. TV STORY-Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: 10 YEARS AFTER
Notes
- The American version of Hikaru's character, Sam, ultimately becomes the 6th Ranger of the team after he spends time training with the S.P.D. While the same doesn't occur with Hikaru, he coincidentally shares his name with next season's Sixth.
- He later shares the two different physical age appearances (from Child to Adult) with his Power Rangers counterpart in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: 10 YEARS AFTER (although in Hikaru's case, he retained the same actor).
