This article is about a mecha in Seiju Sentai Gingaman. |
Heavy Starbeast GoTaurus (重星獣ゴウタウラス Jūseijū Gōtaurasu) is the partner of Black Knight who hails from the planet Taurus.
Overview[]
Arriving on Earth shortly after the revival of BullBlack, GoTaurus appears whenever BullBlack (and later Hyuga) call his name. When summoned, GoTaurus is able to infuse his power into Black Knight, enlarging him and transforming him into the giant Heavy Knight BullBlack (重騎士ブルブラック Jū Kishi Buru Burakku), equipped with the dual Bull Sword (ブルソード Burusōdo) lances which he used to perform the Cross Fire Slash (クロスファイヤー斬り Kurosu Faiyā Kiri). In this form, Black Knight is able to ride him and the two can perform a powerful charging attack against giant Majin.
History[]
Although loyal to BullBlack, GoTaurus was unwilling to go to the same lengths as BullBlack to defeat the Balban and ultimately abandoned him when BullBlack attempted to trigger an explosion that would have destroyed the entire Earth along with the Balban. After BullBlack was convinced by the spirit of his deceased brother Krantz to abandon his pursuit of revenge, GoTaurus returned to help but reluctantly stayed behind when BullBlack ordered him not to follow.
Later, when Hyuga was entrusted with the Black Knight powers, GoTaurus accepted him as his new master and the two fought side by side with the Gingamen against the remaining two armies of the Balban. During the fight against Illies, GoTaurus was seriously injured and couldn't fight in the next few episodes, which led to it being captured by Bucrates. While it was briefly let out during the Daitanix battle to assist the Gingamen and the other Star Beasts, GoTaurus was eventually freed at the end of the series after Hyuga escapes from the Balban members that came to kill Bucrates and then fought against the Earth Demon Beast before it uses most of its power to destroy Zahab's castle so Hyuga could fight Zahab elsewhere. Afterwards, it would appear to fight alongside GingaiOh and Galaxy Mega against Captain Gregory when the Gingamen and Hyuga teamed up with the Megarangers TV STORY-Seiju Sentai Gingaman vs. Megaranger, and appear with GingaiOh to help Victory Mars against Infernal Dark Hell Beast when the Gingamen and Hyuga joined forces with GoGoFive. Combined Beast-Warrior BullTaurus (合身獣士ブルタウラス Gasshin Jūshi Burutaurasu) is a combination created by the command "Knight-Beast Combination" (騎獣合体 Kijū Gasshin), GoTaurus takes Heavy Knight into himself and transforms into a humanoid shape; rising backwards on his hind legs while the front legs become the arms and the neck swings up to reveal the head.
In this form, both of Heavy Knight's Bull Swords are combined into a single Twin Bull Sword (ツインブルソード Tsuin Burusōdo) which BullTaurus uses for the Bison Fierce Cut (野牛鋭断 Yagyū Eidan) finisher, which is a slash attack.
Later in the series, after Hyuga receives the Knight Axe, he also gains the ability to use it as BullTaurus which he can use for the Great Bison Fierce Cut (大牛鋭断 Daigyū Eidan) attack, where he did a slash attack with the axe. Following the destruction of the Knight Axe, this ability was lost forever. Its suit actor was Seiji Takaiwa.
