Hacktrack was a robotic Ungaikyo/satellite dish-themed Galaxy Warrior contestant. He serves as the main villain of the episode "Hack Attack".
History[]
Hacktrack is sent to steal Sarah's technology and encounters all five Ninja Steel Rangers with an army of Kudabots whilst they picnic in a forest. While the other Rangers battle the Kudabots, the Pink Ranger personally battles Hacktrack, but gets overpowered. She then starts to phase out and disappears into a Holo-Projector, revealing it is only a holographic clone of her. The monster snatches the device and teleports away. Hacktrack then returns to the city and uses his antennae dish club to absorb the Holo-Projector, using it to make eight giant holo-clones of Galvanax, which begin attacking the city.
Hacktrack later returns and attacks the Rangers before he steals the Pink Ranger's Techno-Gadget that can "make the clones stronger." However, this turns out to be a trick as the Techno-Gadget is actually a computer virus which short-circuits Hacktrack, causing all eight of the giant Galvanax clones to shut down. Hacktrack reboots himself to recover from the virus. He fires energy rings, but they get deflected by the Blue Ranger's Element Star Ninja Water Attack, and the water itself short-circuits Hacktrack again, allowing the Yellow and White Rangers to use the Ninja Earth Attack on him. He is then destroyed by the Five Ranger Ninja Strike Steel Slash Final Attack. He is Gigantified by Cosmo and the Rangers summon the Ninja Steel Megazord to battle him. Hacktrack flies, prompting the Rangers to form the Ninja Steel Megazord Dragon Formation but the Megazord can't reach into space where the monster travels so Mick creates and gives the Rangers a Zord Star that allows them to summon the new Astro Zord. They combine with it to form the Astro Ninja Steel Megazord and fight Hacktrack on the Moon. They finally destroy him with the Astro Ninja Steel Megazord's Cosmic Blast Final Attack. Personality[]
Hacktrack was quite a childish and selfish monster, wanting technology for himself. Due to this, he accidentally filled himself with a virus that was created by the Pink Ranger, which became his undoing. However, he was very loyal to Galvanax.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Teleportation: Hacktrack could teleport to any location at will.
- Energy Lasers: Hacktrack can shoot purple energy lasers but where he fired them from is unknown.
- Reboot: Should Hacktrack get a virus, he could reboot himself to heal. As such, as long as he was still intact and hadn't blown up, he was essentially undefeatable.
- Flight: Hacktrack could fly at high speed thanks to the jet thrusters under his feet.
- Interstellar Travel: Hacktrack could travel into space while flying.
- Space Survivability: Hacktrack could survive in outer space as shown in his battle with the Astro Ninja Steel Megazord.
Abilities[]
- Extraordinary Jumper: Hacktrack could jump at incredible heights.
- Strength: Hacktrack was strong enough to knock Sarah’s holo-clone aside with a simple smack of his hand.
Weaknesses[]
- Oblivious Nature: Hacktrack was extremely obsessed with technology and would absorb any of them without thinking of potential side effects.
- Viruses: Hacktrack would be temporarily crippled by internalized viruses which he could reboot from but would prevent him from creating giant clones and make ones already existing vanish.
Arsenal[]
- Antenna Dish Club: Hacktrack wielded an antenna dish-like club for combat.
- Technology Absorption: Hacktrack could absorb any type of technology into his satellite.
- Clone Creation: By absorbing the Pink Ranger's cloning device, Hacktrack could fire light and dark blue-purple colored energy lasers from his club that could create giant clones.
- Virus Absorption: Hacktrack could absorb viruses into his club as well.
- Energy Rings: Hacktrack could fire blue-white energy rings from his antenna dish club.
- Lightning Beam: Hacktrack could fire a purple or pink lightning beam from his club.
- Technology Absorption: Hacktrack could absorb any type of technology into his satellite.
Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- Hacktrack was voiced by Ian Hughes who also voiced Slogre and would go on to voice Speedwing in Super Ninja Steel.
- His voice was identical to Speedwing's albeit without the muffled speech and repeated words.
Design[]
- Hacktrack's design incorporated a satellite dish and a robot.
Etymology[]
- His name was a portmanteau of the words Hack and Track to fit his design.
Notes[]
- Hacktrack was the first monster to debut outside of the Warrior Dome, seeing as he debuted when he ambushed the Rangers in the park.
- The footage of Hacktrack used in "Grave Robber" was previously deleted footage from "Hack Attack" which was originally a fake-out death in his original Japanese episode.
- The shot of Hacktrack growing was exclusively American-made because in Ninninger, he grew and disappeared off-screen so the viewer did not get a close-up of his face.
- This was presumably cut for time because in Ninninger, Raizo Gabi confronted Brody's Sentai counterpart which lasted too long for the American episode to include.
- Hacktrack lacked his Sentai counterpart's fake smiley face because this face was only used around children and the unmorphed Ninningers.
