Guardnoid Gash (ガードノイド・ガッシュ Gādonoido Gasshu) is Great Professor Bias' robot bodyguard and the secondary antagonist of Choujuu Sentai Liveman.
History[]
Liveman[]
The robotic bodyguard of Professor Bias who wields the Gigaphantom monster-enlarging cannon. Gash is also the only member of Volt who knows Bias' true plans. Though normally deployed to fire Gigaphantom enlargement bazooka and create Brain Beasts, Gash is also sent to carry out missions like stealing the Metaforce Jewel from the robot Jou befriended. Gash eventually dies with Bias inside the Brain Base after losing his right forearm to Yusuuke. His last act as Bias' servant was re-enforcing the Doctor's delusion that Volt succeeded in dominating the Earth.
His head was thrown from the explosion and it automatically displayed footage of Volt's many schemes and actions throughout the season before sinking into the ground.

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- Guardnoid Gash was voiced by Hideaki Kusaka (日下 秀昭 Kusaka Hideaki), a recurring suit actor who has worked on numerous Super Sentai seasons, with Gash marking his first voice role in the series. Three years later, Kusaka would go on to portray another black-armored robot similar to Gash, Grey in Choujin Sentai Jetman.
- Gash's suit actor was Naoki Ofuji (大藤 直樹 Ōfuji Naoki), who ironically would go on to be the suit actor for Grey's rival, Black Condor in the same series.
