Grant McFarland was a New Zealand actor who portrayed both Sensei Kanoi Watanabe and Lothor in Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Archive recording and footage of him were used for Kanoi and Lothor respectively in the Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode "Legacy of Power", and reprising the role later in "Thunder Storm". McFarland also played Daisuke in Power Rangers Samurai.

• McFarland was the second person to portray both the Power Rangers' mentor and the main villain. The first was Carol Hoyt, who, in Power Rangers Turbo, portrayed the Rangers' mentor, Dimitria, and also played the role of Divatox during the first 25 episodes of Turbo.
• He appeared in several roles in the Xenaverse. In one episode he appeared with fellow actor Owen Black.
