This article is about a set of events in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. |
- "See, on this world, we found a power big enough that even we didn't want to mess with it. You probably can't tell, but you're fighting more than the six of us! Behind us is the strength of the people who have defended this world. The thirty-four Super Sentai. We're about to show you that power!"
- ―The Gokaigers explaining to Ackdos Gill that they have the powers of the 34 Super Sentai teams at their disposal.[src]
A list of past Sentai forms the Gokaigers change to, via the Ranger Keys and the Transformation Cellphone Mobilates, by episode.
Ranger Keys
- Main Article: Ranger Keys
There are exactly 208 Ranger Keys in the show, keys for 198 heroes of the Super Sentai 199, as AkaRed is the only one who doesn't have a Ranger Key. The 199th key is the AbarePink key created by Emiri Sanjyou, who donned a fake AbarePink costume and fought alongside the Abarangers, and boasted that she was the 200th Super Sentai hero. There are also keys for the fused Ranger Keys: the Go-On Wings Key (a hybrid of Go-On Gold and Go-On Silver), the Gokai Christmas Key (a hybrid of Gokai Red and Gokai Green) and the Gold Anchor Key (a fusion of all 15 Sixth Rangers). Also, several Ranger Keys formed from the Core Medals possessed by Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO, which were utilized by the Gokaiger in Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.
There are Ranger Keys for the first 35 Sentai teams: 172 Core Rangers, 16 Sixth Rangers, 10 Extra Heroes, and the aforementioned AbarePink. Aside from the AbarePink key, all other Ranger Keys originated in the Great Legend War, as the Sentai Rangers and Extra Heroes sacrificed their powers to stop Zangyack's first invasion of Earth.
The Gokaigers often change into the core Sentai team, normally their own counterparts, which are not always their own color (except in the case of Marvelous and Joe). The core team is normally five, excluding Sun Vulcan and Abaranger. The core Gokaigers also changed into Sixth Rangers before Gai Ikari (Gokai Silver) appeared. Gai, like the Gokaigers, can use a core member's Ranger Key. Thanks to Gai, the Gokaigers managed to take all 10 Extra Hero Ranger Keys from Basco.
It is confirmed that 199 of the keys (except another Gokaiger's key or the fused keys) can be used by any of the Gokaigers, as the core team can use the Sixth Ranger Keys and Extra Hero Ranger Keys. However, their use of Ranger Keys has always been the result of preference.
Individual Changes by Episode/Special
Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku
- Gokai Changes for Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku:
- The all-Red Change here is composed of the last five teams before Shinkenger. Coincidentally, the Red Ranger Keys that the Gokaigers use are also the ones that started the tradition of the Red Ranger Hand-Off at the end of each season, starting with Dekaranger.
- All of the Gokai Changes in this movie involve major projectile attacks. While DekaRed, MagiRed, and Gekired all use general projectile abilities, both Bouken Red and Go-On Red need special weapons to fully utilize their potential (Bouken Red with the Dual Crusher and Go-On Red with the Kankan Mantan Gun).
- In an error, Joe uses the Dual Crusher without anyone supporting his attack and without the Accel Tector.
Ep. 1: The Space Pirates Appear
- Gokai Changes for The Space Pirates Appear:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are teams that share the same color scheme as the Gokaigers, although not all are the same gender.
- Notably, these teams are the first ever Sentai team and the two immediately preceding teams that used those colors.
- The Gokaigers change into a total of three Sentai teams in this episode, just as Kamen Rider Decade changed into three Kamen Riders in his first episode. Both changes took place in the same setting, fighting against evil forces in a ruined city.
Ep. 2: The Worth of this Planet
- Gokai Changes for The Worth of this Planet:
- This is the second time the Gokaigers all transform into Red Rangers, following their cameo appearance in Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku. In both cases, the girls use the MagiRed and GekiRed Keys.
- This is also the only all-Red Gokai Change where Ahim does not become MagiRed.
- This episode confirms that the Gokaigers can Gokai Change directly into a past hero if desired, as seen when the boy changes into Shinken Red. It later happens twice with actual Gokaigers, when Don becomes Shinken Green in episode 16 and when Luka becomes MagiMother in episode 44.
- When fighting Bongan as Red Rangers, 4 out of 5 of the Gokaigers pair up in 2 groups of 2 based on the similarities of the Rangers they've transformed into before Marvelous finishes him off as Shinken Red.
- Luka and Don: Mythical animal theme and control over an element.
- Joe and Ahim: Jungle Cat theme and hand to hand fighter.
- This is the first time a non-Gokaiger Ranger Key is used more than once in an episode.
Ep. 3: Changing Courage into Magic
- Gokai Changes in Changing Courage into Magic:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode involve main members of a team who joined after the initial power is obtained or utilized by someone else.
- J.A.K.Q.: Though treated as a leader, Sokichi Banba (Big One) only joined the battle near the end.
- Jetman: Four civilians gained the power of the Birdonic Waves after the first powers are obtained and used by Ryu Tendoh (Red Hawk).
- Kakuranger: The ninjas slowly joined the team as it forms, with Jiraiya (NinjaBlack) the last to join.
- Gaoranger: Each member of the team got their powers and first used it after periods of time, starting from Gaku Washio (GaoYellow) and continuing until finally the team is completed by Kakeru Shishi (GaoRed) and later Tsukumaro Oogami (GaoSilver).
- Abaranger: Though leader of the team, Asuka (AbareBlack) can't use his powers initially and the initial trio utilize them.
- Magiranger: The five Ozu siblings all join the team after discovering their mother (MagiMother) was one (unknowing that their father (Wolzard Fire) was one as well).
- Go-Onger: The powers for this team is staggered, with Hant Jou (Go-On Green) and Gunpei Ishihara (Go-On Black) obtained later.
- This is the first time female Gokaigers change into Black Rangers. As a result, this is the first glimpse of a female Black Ranger in all of Super Sentai.
- During the all-Black and all-White Gokai Changes, Ahim is the only one to transform into her own counterparts (though in Joe and Luka's case, neither of them have any Black Ranger counterparts, while only Joe doesn't have any White Ranger counterparts).
- This is the first episode where the whole team doesn't transform together for a Gokai Change.
- While Big One is Luka's counterpart, Joe, the blue ranger, is the first one to use the key in this episode. Sokichi Banba, the original Big One, was played by Hiroshi Miyauchi who also played the first Blue Ranger in Gorenger, Aorenger.
- As the first tribute episode, this is the first time that a Gokai Change homages another team: in this case, with this being the Magiranger tribute, the Gokaiger go through the full Magiranger transformation.
- Coincidentally, Magiranger is the first Soul Advent done by AkaRed in GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai, who likewise goes through the full transformation into MagiRed.
Ep. 4: What are Friends For?
- Gokai Changes in What are Friends For?:
- With this episode, Don has transformed into both of his non-Green and Black Ranger counterparts at least once.
- This is the first episode where the Gokaigers change into a past team even though one of them is absent.
- Both of the Gokai Changes in this episode involve teams who, like the Gokaigers, have a Blue Ranger with a perfectionist attitude who obsessively train to hone their abilities like Joe.
- Dekaranger: Houji Tomasu (DekaBlue) is a highly skilled sniper.
- Gekiranger: Retsu Fukami (GekiBlue) is a practitioner of Fierce Beast Jaguar-Fist obsessed in studying and perfecting techniques.
Ep. 5: Judgement Pirates
- Gokai Changes in Judgement Pirates:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are tied to teams whose mentors are not human.
- Dairanger: Master Kaku of the Gorma (a race of beings who evolved alongside humanity).
- Dekaranger: Doggie Kruger, a dog-like alien of planet Anubis who controls Earth's Dekabase.
- Go-Onger: BOMPER, a robot from the Machine Braneworld.
- Likewise, all three of the Red Rangers from these teams were notable as being hot-blooded warriors who would rush into battle without thinking ahead.
Ep. 6: The Most Important Thing
- Gokai Changes in The Most Important Thing:
- All of Luka's solo Gokai Changes in this episode have the element of "five" within them.
- Sun Vulcan: The 5th Sentai team.
- Carranger: The 20th Sentai team.
- GoGoFive: Not only does the team name contain the word "five", but it is also notably the last Sentai series to start and end with five Rangers.
- Boukenger: The 30th Sentai team.
- Luka's transformation into VulPanther this episode is the first time we get a glimpse at a female Sun Vulcan uniform, which includes a skirt. While Sun Vulcan's predecessor, Denziman, had a skirt-wearing female, it was the exception in the period between the end of the Ishinomori era and Maskman, who standardized female uniforms with skirts.
- When the four Gokaigers change into the J.A.K.Q. team, the quartet become the original team prior to the arrival of Big One, who is Luka's equivalent. With her not there, this allows for the only change into the original team.
Ep. 7: Niki-Niki! Kenpō Lesson
- Gokai Changes in Niki-Niki! Kenpo Lesson:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode involve felines.
- Sun Vulcan: First team with a feline (VulPanther).
- Gaoranger: First team lead by an actual feline (a lion; while GingaRed also had a lion, it was actually a Gingaleon, a lion-like alien creature).
- Gekiranger: Main trio/Triangle are all felines (Tiger/Cheetah/Jaguar).
- Both of the Gokai Changes prior to the Gekiranger one involve teams with members connected to the elements of air, water, and land. However, Marvelous and Luka switch places with both teams, while Joe remains the aquatic creature in both changes, which coincidentally are both Sentai teams that utilize sharks.
Ep. 8: Little Spy Tactics
- Gokai Changes in Little Spy Tactics:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode stem from teams connected to fallen civilizations of ancient origins as well as with color connections for the members.
- Denziman: The civilization of the Denzi Star was destroyed by the Vader Clan three-thousand years in the past, leading to Denzi Land lying dormant on Earth; all five likewise have colors in their last name.
- Goggle V: Five ancient civilizations were destroyed by Deathdark, with their remnants used for the creation of the team and have colors in their last name like Denziman.
- Gaoranger: The civilization of the Animarium collapsed after their war with the Orgs one-thousand years in the past; they also are notable for only knowing each other by color names until their final roll-call.
- Likewise, all three teams literally have their denominations for the team in their last name: both Denziman and Goggle V have the colors associated with their members, while Gaoranger had the animals associated with each member in their names.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the DenziYellow Ranger Key.
- This is the only time Don becomes DenziGreen.
Ep. 9: Lion, Run
- Gokai Changes in Lion, Run:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode involve Sentai powers that are tied to nature and given to their respective teams by a female mentor, and are anniversary seasons, at least at some point or another.
- Turboranger: The natural energy of fairies tied to Fairy Seelon. Also honors the past 10 sentai seasons during its initial run as Gorenger and J.A.K.Q. had yet to be recognized as Sentai series.
- Jetman: The power of birds tied to the military project of Commander Aya Odagiri. At the time of Ohranger's airing in 1995, Jetman has become the 15th series.
- Gaoranger: The power of guardian animals protected by Tetomu in the Animarium. As an anniversary series, Gaoranger is the 25th entry in Super Sentai.
- Also, two of the Sentai teams that the Gokaigers change into are aired in the Philippines. Ironically, in one of the two teams that is homaged in episode 28, the Gokaigers would assume the forms of the Biomen and the Maskmen, two more Sentai series that are popular in the Philippines. While Bioman, Maskman, and Turboranger never had their own Tribute episodes, all three series would be represented by their own members by appearing in spirit forms as Shirou Gou (Red1) and Riki Honoo (Red Turbo) appear alongside some other legends in the 199 Heroes movie, while Akira (Blue Mask) appears in episode 49.
Ep. 10: Card Game
- Gokai Changes in Card Game:
- The J.A.K.Q. Gokai Change for this episode is appropriate because all of the members, except Big One, are Playing card themed.
- This Gokai Change is unique in using a special intro with the four J.A.K.Q. cards being placed on the monster before the team appears, used in the early episodes of the series; further, a Joker is added in for the representation of Big One, which was never done in series due to the gimmick being dropped by the time Soukichi Banba joins the team; thus being the first time the card introduction gimmick was done with all five J.A.K.Q., including Big One.
Ep. 11: The Serious Rebellion
- Gokai Changes in The Serious Rebellion:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode involve teams who, like the Shinkengers, face against enemies who have either been sealed or a method to seal.
- Dynaman: The Millennium Cave is a sealing site used by the Jashinka Empire for traitors and punishment; it first held General Zenobia, then later Prince Megiddo before finally having the Dynamen themselves sealed inside near the end.
- Zyuranger: The Bandora Gang were sealed within a tomb left on Planet Nemesis prior to being opened in modern times.
- Gingaman: The Space Pirates Balban were sealed by the original Gingamen prior to their revival.
Ep. 12: The Guaranteed Showy Samurai
- Gokai Changes in The Guaranteed Showy Samurai:
- Until Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates, this episode contains the largest number of teams used in a Gokai Change in a single episode of the series: thirteen total.
- Ironically, Ahim repeats all of her transformations in both episodes (outside the Shinkenger one).
- All of the Gokai Changes during the barrage early in the episode utilize characters with similar personalities.
- Reds: Gutsy
- Yellows: Tomboyish
- Greens: Child-like
- Pinks: Serious
Ep. 13: Tell Me the Way
- Gokai Changes for Tell Me the Way:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are teams that begin with the letter "G".
- Also, both of Ahim's solo Gokai Changes when she escapes Zaggai are teams that start with the word "Go".
Ep. 14: Now More Road Safety
- Gokai Changes in Now More Road Safety:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are tied to vehicles.
- Turboranger: A vehicle-based/racing Sentai team.
- Zyuranger: Vehicles tend to run on "fossil fuels" (the remains of ancient creatures becoming processed and pressurized into oil and gas).
- Carranger: See Turboranger.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the Blue Racer, Green Racer, and Pink Racer Ranger Keys.
- Both Gokai Changes prior to the Carranger one were of teams who had opening theme songs by Kenta Sato, who portrayed Riki Honoo (Red Turbo) in Turboranger.
Ep. 15: A Privateer Appears
- There are no Gokai Changes this episode.
Ep. 16: Clash! Sentai vs. Sentai
- Gokai Changes in Clash! Sentai vs. Sentai:
- Gokai Red - N/A
- Gokai Blue - N/A
- Gokai Yellow - N/A
- Gokai Green - Shinken Green
- Gokai Pink - N/A
- This is the first episode where one of the Gokaigers directly transform into a past Ranger (without turning into a Gokaiger first).
- This is the only episode to have just one Gokaiger use a Ranger Key.
Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle
- Gokai Changes in Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle:
- All of the Gokai Changes in this movie represent Sentai teams who fought different invading evil forces, with each team likewise having a similar villain in the returning villains of this movie.
- Dynaman: The Jashinka Empire come from underground, similar to the Underground Hades Empire Infershia, which Hades Wise God Dagon comes from.
- Fiveman: The Silver Imperial Army Zone come from space; while the Zangyack come from space, Brajira of the Messiah also was first encountered as an "alien" in his first guise, Buredoran of the Comet, with the Universal Annihilation Army Warstar.
- Go-Onger: Crime Minister Yogoshimacritein was a major member of the Banki Clan Gaiark, who invaded from an alternate dimension
- Ironically, all three of these teams have their Greater Powers given to the Gokaigers by a female member (Rei Tachibana (DynaPink) and Saki Rouyama (Go-On Yellow) in this movie, and Remi Hoshikawa (FiveYellow) later in the season).
Ep. 17: The Amazing Silver-Colored Man
- Gokai Changes in The Amazing Silver-Colored Man:
- Ahim's Gokai Change into AbareKiller in this episode is notable in being the only time she changes into the "5th" member of the Abaranger, who is actually the team's Sixth Ranger. While Ahim does get a representative from this season in a later episode, it isn't what she expects.
- This is the first time Marvelous transforms into a Ranger that is not one of his counterparts, although it is still his color.
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode foreshadow the new hero and his development for the next several episodes.
- MegaSilver: First Silver Hero (introduced in this episode).
- TimeFire, DragonRanger, AbareKiller: Source of the Silver Hero's power (introduced next episode).
- MagiShine: First Gold Hero (his power-up).
Ep. 18: The Big Abare with the Dinosaur Robot Drill
- Gokai Changes in The Big Abare with the Dinosaur Robot Drill:
- This is the third time the main five Gokaigers all transform into Rangers of the same color and the first to use a color other than red. In this case, silver.
- As a result, this is the first time Marvelous transforms into a non-Red Ranger.
- This is the only Gokai Change set where a Gokaiger participates without using a transformation for themselves.
- This is the second episode in a row to feature an all-Sixth Ranger Change. In both cases, Luka uses the MegaSilver Key.
- While the first Gokai Change for the main Gokaiger was for the first Sentai ever created in terms of real world history (Gorenger), Gai's first Gokai Change was into the first Sentai hero in terms of Sentai history itself: KingRanger of Ohranger became active and fought 600 million years in the past, long before any other Sentai hero in existence.
Ep. 19: Armor of the 15 Warriors
- Gokai Changes in Armor of the 15 Warriors:
- Both of Don's solo Gokai Changes during his fight with Uorlian reference earlier Sentai which had prototypes for Sixth and Extra Heroes.
- Bioman: Shota Yamamori, a man without Bio Particles, gained power from Gear to become the Magne Warrior.
- Flashman: Hero Titan was a hero of the Flash System who fought Mess but ultimately succumbed to the Anti-Flash Phenomenon; the Flashmen utilized similar technology and became successors to his Flash Titan mecha.

- Gokai Green - Gosei Black, ShishiRanger, OhGreen
- Gokai Pink - Gosei Pink, HououRanger, OhPink
- Gokai Silver - DragonRanger, Gosei Knight, KibaRanger, KingRanger
- This is the first episode where Gai does not transform into Gold Mode since its debut in Episode 19.
- With this episode, Gai has transformed into both of his Green Ranger counterparts at least once.
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode reference a connection to interstellar objects somewhere.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the Gosei Black Ranger Key.
Ep. 23: People's Lives are the Future of the Earth

- Gokai Silver - Gold Mode
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are tied to sibling based teams.
- Fiveman: The Hoshikawa family.
- GoGoFive: The Tatsumi family.
- Magiranger: The Ozu family.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the GoGreen and GoPink Ranger Keys.
- This is the only time Marvelous becomes GoRed.
- Due to using the MagiPink powers to become Matsuri, this is the only time where a Gokaiger actually "becomes" the actual human form of a Sentai hero.
- The strange factor being that Ahim is simultaneously three different Sentai heroines, being Gokai Pink becoming MagiPink to disguise as GoPink.

- The Livemen and Abarangers started out as three-man teams before 2 other members join them later on. Coincidentally, both teams have a Black Ranger as one of their secondary Rangers.
- The primary Livemen consists of a bird-themed Red Ranger, a dolphin-themed female Blue Ranger, and a lion-themed male Yellow Ranger.

- The Flashman Gokai Change is in reference to Ep. 4: Mag is a Genius Robo?!, where the team is affected by The Girai, a similar Beast Warrior who reverses a being with a beam and a reverseable head (in their case, it was an inversion of vision making them see objects as if upside-down) and they must overcome it.
Ep. 28: Wings are Eternal
- Gokai Changes in Wings are Eternal :
- With this episode, Luka has transformed into all 14 of her female Yellow Ranger counterparts at least once.

- Ironically, all three of the teams the Gokaigers changed into are some of the most popular Sentai seasons in the Philippines as Tagalog dubbed (except Bioman as English dubbed).
- All three Gokai Changes are likewise notable as the three seasons with prototypes to the Sixth Ranger concept who had one to two episode appearances in their respective season.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the Yellow4, Pink5, Black Mask, and Pink Mask Ranger Keys.
- This is also the only time the Red1 Ranger Key is used in a regular episode of the series.

- This also means that all 34 of the previous Super Sentai teams have now been represented in a Gokai Change at least once.
- All of the Gokai Changes in this episode are teams that do not have a Sixth Ranger. This is meant to reflect how the Gokaiger's own Sixth Ranger is temporarily out of commission due to Basco injuring him in the previous episode.
- The first set of Gokai Changes involved teams who were given new finishers when their respective villains changed/upgraded their monsters.
- J.A.K.Q.: Big Bomber (appeared when Crime switched from Mechanical Monsters to Invader Robots)
- Dynaman: New Super Dynamite (appeared when Jashinka switched from Evolution Beasts to Mechevolution Beasts)
- Kakuranger: Thunder Sword Hikarimaru (Given to Sasuke by Tsubasamaru during the final battle with Junior)
- The second set of Gokai Changes all had the Gokaiger become teams who had to introduce a special new weapon or trump card in order to destroy something with a massive defensive power, similar to the introduction of the GokaiGalleon Buster.
- Changeman: The "full power" Power Bazooka (to destroy the Hard Wall of Queen Ahames)
- Maskman: The "God Hand" (to destroy the hard defense of Drilla Doggler)
- Gekiranger: The GekiBazooka (to face the Oily Body-Armor of Beast-Man Maga)

- This is the only time Gai becomes GaoSilver.
Ep. 34: Dream Comes True
- Gokai Changes in Dream Comes True:
- During the Megaranger change, Don, as MegaBlack, is in the center of the team. This is a reference to the fact that Kouichirou Endou (MegaBlack) was the leader of the Megarangers rather than Kenta Date (MegaRed).
Ep. 35: Dimension on the Other Side
- Gokai Changes in Dimension on the Other Side:
- With this episode, Don has transformed into all 33 of his counterparts at least once (including his Gokai Changes in 199 Hero Great Battle and The Flying Ghost Ship).
- This also means that all 167 Core Ranger Keys have now been used in a Gokai Change at least once.
- Coincidentally, there are 35 Sentai seasons, this is the 35th episode and it marks when all the main 5 Gokaigers have transformed into all their counterparts at least once.

- Gokai Changes in The Power to Seize Dreams:
- Gokai Red - N/A
- Gokai Blue - N/A
- Gokai Yellow - N/A
- Gokai Green - N/A
- Gokai Pink - N/A
- Gokai Silver - Gold Mode
Ep. 39: Why? We're High School Students
- Gokai Changes in Why? We're High School Students:
- All of the Gokai Changes prior to the Megaranger change in this episode are pre-anniversary Sentai teams.
- Timeranger: The 24th Sentai team.
- Magiranger: The 29th Sentai team.
- Goseiger: The 34th Sentai team.
- This is the only time Gai becomes MagiShine.
Ep. 40: The Future is the Past
- Gokai Changes in The Future is the Past:
- Gokai Red - Go-On Red (movie footage), TimeRed
- Gokai Blue - Bouken Red (movie footage), TimeBlue
- Gokai Yellow - GekiRed (movie footage), TimeYellow
- Gokai Green - DekaRed (movie footage), TimeGreen
- Gokai Pink - MagiRed (movie footage), TimePink
- Gokai Silver - Shinken Gold, KingRanger, TimeFire, Gold Mode
- Prior to the Timeranger change, the Gokai Changes are all the very first Gokai Changes done by the Gokaigers when first seen by the audience (as in from the perspective of the viewers, not the perspective of the Gokaigers themselves).
- The original five Gokaigers do the Gokai Changes from their first appearance in Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku (though in archived footage).
- Gai becomes Shinken Gold and KingRanger, the two he used in the first episode he used Gokai Changes: Ep. 18: The Big Abare with the Dinosaur Robot Drill.
- This is the last episode in which all six Gokaigers change into a complete past team.
Ep. 41: Something I Don't Want to Lose
- Gokai Changes in Something I Don't Want to Lose:
- With this episode, Gai has transformed into all 14 of his male counterparts at least once.
- This also means that all 15 Sixth Ranger Keys have now been used in a Gokai Change at least once.
- All of the Gokai Changes Ahim uses alongside each of her teammates are Rangers that have some type of relationship with each other.
- Gouraiger: Ikkou (KabutoRaiger) and Isshuu Kasumi (KuwagaRaiger) are brothers.
- Dekaranger: Doggie Kruger (DekaMaster) and Swan Shiratori (DekaSwan) are considered a couple.
- Go-On Wings: Hiroto (Go-On Gold) and Miu Sutou (Go-On Silver) are brother and sister.
- Shinkenger: Kaoru (Princess Shinken Red) and Takeru Shiba (Shinken Red) are the respective 18th and 19th heads of the Shiba Clan, and later became mother and son.
- Goseiger: Eri (Gosei Pink) and Moune (Gosei Yellow) are best friends.
- The Ahim-partner Gokai Changes are the only time three things happen:
- The only time the Gouraigers receive a Gokai Change without either the Hurricanegers or Shurikenger.
- The only time both members of the Go-On Wings receive a Gokai Change together.
- The only time both Shinken Red keys are used at the same time, and likewise the only time both Shinken Reds fight together at the same time, which never happened in Shinkenger (Takeru and Kaoru never used the powers simultaneously even though they both possessed the ability to) or during the Legend War (Takeru fought with the main heroes and Kaoru with the Extra Heroes).
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Let's Do This Goldenly! Roughly! 36 Round Gokai Change!!
- Gokai Changes in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Let's Do This Goldenly! Roughly! 36 Round Gokai Change!!:
- Gokai Red - Gold Mode
- Gokai Silver - Akarenger, Spade Ace, Battle Japan, DenziRed, VulEagle, GoggleRed, DynaRed, Red1, ChangeDragon, Red Flash, Red Mask, Red Falcon, Red Turbo, FiveRed, Red Hawk, TyrannoRanger, RyuuRanger, NinjaRed, OhRed, Red Racer, MegaRed, GingaRed, GoRed, TimeRed, GaoRed, HurricaneRed, AbaRed, DekaRed, MagiRed, Bouken Red, GekiRed, Go-On Red, Shinken Red, Gosei Red
- This is the first time all 34 teams have been represented in Gokai Changes, as Gai changes into the past 34 Red Rangers. It later happens in the finale, where the whole team joins in.
- Except for a Gokai Change into DekaRed in episode 48, Go-On Red in the Go-Busters crossover and his own Red, this is the only time Gai becomes all of the other 32 Red Rangers in a Gokai Change.
- Outside three teams, this is the only time Gai becomes any Rangers from teams that do not have a Sixth Ranger.
- The Gokai Change marathon is notable in showing how similar weapons from Red Rangers likewise Gokai Change as they change form, as seen by Gai using Red Flash's Prism Holy Sword, then changing into Red Mask's Masky Blade in the same attack before becoming Red Falcon's Falcon Sword to finish the attack.
- The only Gokai Changes that didn't do any fighting were OhRed and GaoRed.
- Technically, DynaRed didn't fight either, but since Gai used a "back explosion" in that form to blow up some Gormin, it is technically an attack.
- Gai's fight as HurricaneRed was only in silhouette performing the Super Ninpou: Shadow Dance attack, making it the only Red warrior that Gai was not seen in a full appearance.
- This Gokai Change barrage is the only time certain weapons and abilities Marvelous never used as the Red Warriors are used, including:
- Goggle Red's Red Ruby Whip (all Goggle V changes used only the team Ribbon Spark attack associated with GogglePink's Pink Ribbon; likewise this is the only time a Goggle V weapon upgraded by their gem power is utilized)
- Red Mask's Masky Blade (the team Maskman change used regular martial arts and Marvelous used the God Hand ability; no weapons were used by the team as Maskman)
- This is the only time someone other than Gai assumes Gold Mode.
Ep. 42: The Strongest Man in the Universe
- Gokai Changes in The Strongest Man in the Universe:
- This episode features a special Gekiranger Gokai Change. Marvelous, Joe, and Luka change into the first three Gekirangers, while Don and Ahim, rather than changing into their respective counterparts: GekiViolet and GekiChopper, change into the RinJyuKen Warriors: Black Lion Rio and Confrontation Beast Chameleon-Fist Mele. The colors of this combination (red, blue, yellow, black, and green) is the same as that of the Livemen and the first five Go-Ongers. Ironically in episode 47 of Gekiranger, when Rio and Mele finally joined the Gekirangers, Jan gave them the names "GekiBlack" and "GekiGreen". In Gekiranger, Rio and Mele were notable in that, despite being Extra Heroes, they were there from the first episode, while GekiViolet and GekiChopper first appeared around the midpoint of the series.
- This episode marks the only time the Gokaigers use the Black Lion Rio and Confrontation Beast Chameleon-Fist Mele Ranger Keys.
Ep. 43: To the Legendary Hero
- Gokai Changes in To the Legendary Hero:
- Gokai Red - DenziGreen
- Gokai Blue - Shinken Green
- Gokai Yellow - ShishiRanger
- Gokai Green - GingaGreen, MagiGreen, Midorenger
- Gokai Pink - Green Flash
- Gokai Silver - Shurikenger (Fire Mode)
- This is the first time female Gokaigers change into Green Rangers. As a result, this is the first glimpse of a female Green Ranger in all of Super Sentai, discounting Mele.
- Both of Don's solo Gokai Changes prior to the all-Green Change are Green Rangers who held some type of importance to their respective teams.
- Gingaman: Hayate (GingaGreen) was the second-in-command of the team.
- Magiranger: Makito Ozu (MagiGreen) was the eldest of the Ozu siblings.
- This is the first time all six Gokaigers transform into Rangers of the same color.
- When fighting the Dogormin as Green Rangers, the Gokaigers pair up in 3 groups of 2 based on the weaponry of the Rangers they've transformed into.
- Luka and Don: Throwing weapons.
- Marvelous and Ahim: Boxing gloves.
- Joe and Gai: Katanas.
Ep. 44: A Lovely Christmas Eve
- Gokai Changes in A Lovely Christmas Eve:
- Gokai Red - NinjaRed, GaoYellow, Battle Japan
- Gokai Blue - NinjaBlue, TigerRanger, Battle France
- Gokai Yellow - NinjaYellow, Bouken Yellow, Battle Cossack, MagiMother
- Gokai Green - NinjaBlack, HurricaneYellow, Battle Kenya
- Gokai Pink - NinjaWhite, Gosei Yellow, Miss America
- Gokai Silver - KirinRanger, Gokai Christmas
- Sayo Kinoshita - Gokai Yellow
- With this episode, all 10 Extra Hero Keys have been used in a Gokai Change at least once.
- This also means that all 192 of the Ranger Keys that originated from the Great Legend War have now been used in a Gokai Change at least once.
- This is the first time Gai transforms into a Ranger that is part of a core team rather than a Sixth Ranger or an Extra Hero.
- In the all-Yellow Gokai Change, the Yellow Rangers the Gokaigers change into are the same gender as themselves (Luka and Ahim change into Yellow Rangers that were originally female and Marvelous, Joe, Don, and Gai change into Yellow Rangers that were originally male).
- Also, like the all-Green Change in the previous episode, the all-Yellow Change is used to take out the Dogormin.
- The Ranger Marvelous becomes in this change is GaoYellow, who was the leader of the Gaorangers before GaoRed joined.
- This episode marks the second time that a Gokaiger directly changes into a past hero (with Luka changing into MagiMother).
Ep. 45: The Confused Ninja
- In a deleted scene, with a screencap in TV Asahi's site, it is seen that the Gokaiger also change into a full set of Zyurangers with Gai as DragonRanger, appearing before Ninjaman to obtain the powers of the Kakurangers; this was seen as an homage/reference to the Ninja Quest arc that officially began Mighty Morphin' Season 3.
- Gokai Changes in The Confused Ninja:
- Gokai Red - TyrannoRanger, Gosei Blue, GaoRed
- Gokai Blue - TriceraRanger, Shinken Blue, Go-On Blue
- Gokai Yellow - TigerRanger, Blue Dolphin, Yellow Lion
- Gokai Green - MammothRanger, TimeBlue, ShishiRanger
- Gokai Pink - PteraRanger, MagiBlue, GingaRed
- Gokai Silver - DragonRanger, Aorenger, Gosei Knight
- In the all-Lion Gokai Change, Ahim is the only one who does not transform into a Ranger of her own color. This is due to the fact that none of the previous Pink Rangers have a lion motif.
- Like the all-Yellow Gokai Change from the previous episode, when the Gokaigers all transform into Blue Rangers, they change into ones that are the same gender as themselves (Luka and Ahim change into Blue Rangers that were originally female, while Marvelous, Joe, Don, and Gai change into Blue Rangers that were originally male).
- Also, like the previous episode, the Ranger Marvelous becomes in this change is someone with a type of leadership quality. In this case, Gosei Blue, who was the tactical leader of the Goseigers.
- Don and Gai are the only Gokaigers to transform into Blue Rangers with no connection to water.
- This is the first time Gai becomes a Ranger from a team before Zyuranger.
- Luka is the only Gokaiger where all of her (non-deleted) transformations come from the same series (Liveman).
- The Gokai Changes during the montage, outside the Kakuranger one, were all in series order from most recent (Goseiger) to oldest (Gorenger). Also notable is that every Gokai Change from a team with a tribute episode up to that point were in the montage.
- Only Hurricaneger was not in the set due to the unique situation of the tribute two-parter. Their Gokai Change was from episode 2.
- This is the last episode before the finale in which all six Gokaigers transform into past Rangers.
Ep. 46: Hero Eligibility
- Gokai Changes in Hero Eligibility:
- Both of the Gokai Changes in this episode feature Sentai teams where Takayuki Godai played an important character in their series.
- Sun Vulcan: Takayuki Hiba (Vul Eagle II)
- Kakuranger: Hakamenrou (the father of Tsuruhime (NinjaWhite))
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie
- Gokai Changes in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie:
- Gokai Red - Gosei Red, PteraRanger, Big One, Akarenger
- Gokai Blue - DenziBlue, Pink Flash, DekaBreak, Red Racer
- Gokai Yellow - HurricaneYellow, Bouken Pink, GaoWhite, Princess Shinken Red
- Gokai Green - Battle Kenya, FivePink, AbareKiller, OhRed
- Gokai Pink - Gosei Pink, MegaPink, GekiChopper, MagiRed
- Gokai Silver - Go-On Gold, DynaPink, KibaRanger, TimeFire
- This is the first time male Gokaigers change into Pink Rangers. As a result, this is the first glimpse of a male Pink Ranger in all of Super Sentai.
- This also marks the first, and only, time Marvelous, Don, and Gai transform into female Rangers, as well as the only time Joe transforms into a non-Blue female Ranger.
- This is the second time an all-White Gokai Change is featured, with the first being from episode 3. In both cases, the Big One and GaoWhite Keys are used, the latter of which is used by Luka twice.
- GaoWhite stands out from the the other White Rangers used in this Gokai Change three ways:
- She is the only one to be female.
- She is the only one whose Ranger name contains the word "White".
- She is the only one who is initially part of her season's team, with the others either considered as Sixth Rangers (KibaRanger, AbareKiller, DekaBreak) or an additional Ranger to a team that didn't start with five members (Big One, GekiChopper).
- GaoWhite stands out from the the other White Rangers used in this Gokai Change three ways:
- Ahim has the most opposite gender Gokai Changes in this movie with 2, while the others each have 1.
- Goseiger is the only Sentai team to receive more than one Gokai Change representative in this movie.
- During the Gokai Changes with the main villain, none of the respective keys announce their teams' names, except for the all-Red Gokai Change.
- Both of the Rangers Marvelous transforms into during the all-Pink and all-White Changes have some type of leadership quality.
- J.A.K.Q.: Sokichi Banba (Big One) replaced Goro Sakurai (Spade Ace) as leader of the J.A.K.Q. team once he joined.
- Zyuranger: Mei (PteraRanger) was Princess of the Lithia Tribe before she was placed in suspended animation for 170 million years.
- During each of the three all-color Gokai Changes, the Gokaigers display a different style of fighting.
- Pink: The Gokaigers use shooting weapons.
- White: The Gokaigers use hand-to-hand combat.
- Red: The Gokaigers, except Marvelous, use bladed weapons.
- As the Gokaigers go from the all-White to all-Red Change, Marvelous is seen changing from Big One into Akarenger. Ironically, as shown in Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle, Akarenger was the leader of the Super Sentai during the Great Legend War, with Big One as his right hand man.
- The Skick Gokai Change for Marvelous and Ahim may refer back to Come Back! Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Last Epic - The Gosei Angels are National Icons!? when Alata and Eri fight a combined squadron of Mons Drake, Kingong, and Robogog in a fake fight where the villains were just the other Goseigers using Hyde's Camoumirage illusion.
Ep. 47: The Limits of Betrayal
- Gokai Changes in The Limits of Betrayal:
- This is the second episode where the Gokaigers transform into the Dairangers without Marvelous (the first being episode 5).
- This Gokai Change is similar to the Dairanger formation in Ep. 21: The Birth of a Mythical Chi Beast, where KibaRanger leads the other four Dairangers after Ryo (RyuuRanger) becomes captured by the Gorma.
- Like the Geki-Rin Juken Change from episode 42, this episode features a special Gingaman Gokai Change by having Gai use the Black Knight Key alongside the main Gokaigers (excluding Marvelous) as Gingamen. Even though Black Knight was not an official Sixth Ranger, he was still the Gingamen's Sixth Hero.
Ep. 48: The Fated Showdown
- Gokai Changes in The Fated Showdown:
- Gokai Red - N/A
- Gokai Blue - DenziRed
- Gokai Yellow - GingaRed
- Gokai Green - Gosei Red
- Gokai Pink - MagiRed
- Gokai Silver - DekaRed
- This is the only all-Red Gokai Change to ironically not involve the Gokaiger's own Red Ranger.
- This is the second all-Red Gokai Change where Don transforms into Gosei Red, with the first being from episode 2.
- When fighting the Gokai Red clone as Red Rangers, 4 out of 5 of the Gokaigers pair up in 2 groups of 2 based on the weapons or abilities of the Rangers they've transformed into before Joe finishes it off as DenziRed.
- Don and Gai: Blaster sidearms.
- Luka and Ahim: Fire attacks.
- This is the last episode where Marvelous does not transform into a past Sentai Ranger.
Ep. 49: The Greatest Treasure in the Universe
- Gokai Changes in The Universe's Greatest Treasure:
- This is the last television episode to feature the main five Gokaigers doing a full team Gokai Change.
- Coincidentally, the last full team change is the Magiranger team, one of the three teams the Gokaigers changed into during the first episode, as well as the source of their first Greater Power.
- This is also the last episode where Gai does not transform into a past Sentai Ranger.
- Like the all-Lion Gokai Change from episode 45, Ahim is the only one who does not transform into one of her own counterparts from any of the dedicated teams, excluding Sun Vulcan, since she does not have a counterpart from this team. This is likely due to the fact that none of the Pink Rangers from the other 4 teams guest starred in this episode. Likewise, she appears to have become Green Flash while Don became ChangeGriffon most likely due to the female Green Flash suit already been used by her in the all-Green Change from episode 43.
- Like the GoGoFive Change from episode 23, Ahim's transformation into Green Flash is one of the few times a face is exposed when making a Gokai Change, due to the "Shut Goggle" sequence of the Flashman transformation.
Ep. 50: The Day of Battle
- Gokai Changes in The Day of Battle:
- Gokai Red - TyrannoRanger (Armed TyrannoRanger)
- Gokai Blue - N/A
- Gokai Yellow - N/A
- Gokai Green - N/A
- Gokai Pink - N/A
- Gokai Silver - Gold Mode, DragonRanger
- This is the only time a Gokaiger transforms into a past Sentai Ranger without the need of a Ranger Key. In this case, Marvelous uses the Dragon Armor given to him by Gai, as DragonRanger, to become Armed TyrannoRanger.
- This is the last episode where Joe, Luka, Don, and Ahim do not transform into any past Sentai Ranger.
- Overall, this is the last television episode where the entire Gokaiger team does not transform into past Sentai Rangers together.
Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates
- Gokai Changes in Farewell Space Pirates:
- Gokai Red - Gosei Red, Akarenger, Bouken Red, Red Racer, GingaRed, Red Hawk, OhRed, Shinken Red (Hyper Mode)
- Gokai Blue - DekaMaster, Dia Jack, TenmaRanger, Go-On Blue, Blue3, GoBlue, Gosei Blue (Super Mode)
- Gokai Yellow - Princess Shinken Red, VulPanther, Yellow Mask, FiveYellow, AbareYellow, GaoYellow, Yellow Lion, GekiYellow (Super Mode)
- Gokai Green - Great Sword Man Zubaan (Sacred Sword Mode), Battle Kenya, DynaBlack, Black Turbo, ChangeGriffon, MegaBlack, DekaGreen (SWAT Mode)
- Gokai Pink - MagiMother, DenziPink, NinjaWhite, GogglePink, PteraRanger, Pink Flash, TimePink, MagiPink (Legend Mode)
- Gokai Silver - Gold Mode (x2), Go-On Wings, Gosei Knight, Shurikenger (Fire Mode), Black Knight, KingRanger
- This episode possesses the most amount of teams used in a Gokai Change in a single episode of the TV series with thirty-four (each team is represented at least once during this episode), thus beating episode 12's record of thirteen.
- Out of the 34 teams, only 8 of them (Ohranger, Gingaman, Dekaranger, Magiranger, Boukenger, Go-Onger, Shinkenger, and Goseiger) feature more then one representative.
- During the final Gokai Change barrage, Ahim repeats three Gokai Changes she used in episode 12 during a similar barrage.
- With this episode, Ahim has transformed into all 4 female Extra Heroes at least once.
- This is the second time the following Gokai Change sets occur:
- The first all-ninja change since episode 21. In both cases, Don becomes a Black Ranger, Ahim and Gai use the NinjaWhite and Shurikenger Keys respectively, and Marvelous and one other Gokaiger are excluded from this group change.
- Unlike the previous all-ninja change, this one includes Rangers outside the two main ninja teams. (DynaBlack and Yellow Mask are ninjas from non-ninja teams)
- The first all-dinosaur change since episode 22. In both cases, only two Gokaigers of the same gender are involved.
- This also marks the first Gokai Change set since episode 45 to use Rangers of the same animal motif. In this case, it was pteranodons.
- Coincidentally, both the real PteraRanger and AbareYellow fight side by side to take down some foot soldiers in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters: Dinosaur Great Battle! Farewell, Eternal Friends, along with Kyoryu Gold.
- This also marks the first Gokai Change set since episode 45 to use Rangers of the same animal motif. In this case, it was pteranodons.
- The first all-Extra Hero change since episode 37. In both cases, the Zubaan Key is used and at least one Gokaiger is excluded from this group change.
- The first all-ninja change since episode 21. In both cases, Don becomes a Black Ranger, Ahim and Gai use the NinjaWhite and Shurikenger Keys respectively, and Marvelous and one other Gokaiger are excluded from this group change.
- During the final battle against Ackdos Gill, Luka and Don's respective Gokai Changes followed a pattern prior to the Super Ranger change:
- Luka became an even amount of male and female Rangers (three male, three female).
- Don transformed entirely into Black Rangers.
- All of the Rangers in the "first generation change" during the final battle have significance.
- Gorenger: Tsuyoshi Kaijo (Akarenger) was the first leader of any Sentai team (such as Marvelous).
- J.A.K.Q.: Ryu Azuma (Dia Jack) is the first Sentai hero who used a sword (representative of Joe).
- Battle Fever J: Shirou Akebono (Battle Kenya) is a representative of both black and green (associated with most of Don's counterparts).
- Denziman: Akira Momoi (DenziPink) was the first fully-Japanese heroine (which every heroine has been since, including the actress for Ahim).
- Sun Vulcan: Asao Hyou (VulPanther) is on the only all-male team, yet is used by female Luka (Yellows are the most variable between males and females in Sentai history).
- When fighting Ackdos Gill as Leader Rangers, the Gokaigers pair up in 3 groups of 2 based on the weaponry or similarities of the Rangers they transformed into.
- Joe and Don: Punch-enhancing wrist braces.
- Luka and Ahim: Bazookas.
- Marvelous and Gai: Ohrangers.
- Some of the Rangers used in this episode were the respective "leaders" of their team in some aspect.
- Liveman: Joh Ohara (Yellow Lion) was the most active of the Livemen in trying to save the three traitors, particularly in his activism in helping and ultimately saving his friend Gou Omura.
- Kakuranger: Tsuruhime (NinjaWhite) was the leader of the Kakurangers because of her knowledge of the Youkai and better leadership skills than Sasuke (NinjaRed).
- Ohranger: Although most Reds are leaders, Goro Hoshino (OhRed) took particular leadership in being the first of U.A.O.H. to take on the Baranoia during their initial invasion of Earth.
- Likewise, Riki (KingRanger) was the leader against the Baranoia invasion during their initial attack 600 million years ago.
- Megaranger: Kouichirou Endou (MegaBlack) was the technical leader of the Megarangers, who was even further ahead from his more dimwitted teammate Kenta Date (MegaRed), who became Red more due to his video game skills then actual skills.
- GoGoFive: Nagare Tatsumi (GoBlue) was the tactical leader of the GoGoFive team, generally both respected and given respect by his older brother Matoi (GoRed).
- Timeranger: Yuri (TimePink) was the leader of the TPD members who headed to the 21st century to stop the escaping Londerz Family, only initially recruiting Tatsuya Asami (TimeRed) to use the Timeranger powers in the past and generally outranking him in leadership.
- Likewise, there is a great "leadership" and tactical theme of the Sentai used for the Super Rangers.
- Dekaranger: Sen'ichi "Sen-chan" Enari (DekaGreen) was the tactical leader and brains of the main Dekarangers.
- Magiranger: The actress who played Houka Ozu (MagiPink) was extremely notable and outspoken in her desire to play MagiRed for the season.
- Gekiranger: Ran Uzaki (GekiYellow) was officially made leader of the Gekirangers in the 23rd episode of their series.
- Shinkenger: Shinken Red is the leader of the Shinkengers, regardless of gender; Takeru Shiba was the main Shinken Red of the story.
- Goseiger: Hyde (Gosei Blue) was the tactical leader of the Goseigers and acted the closest to a leader in the team.
- The "Super Ranger" Gokai Change is notable in being exactly like the very first Gokai Change in Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku, yet notably with Marvelous and Joe using Shinkenger and Goseiger instead of Go-Onger and Boukenger like the first change. (Luka, Don, and Ahim respectively use Gekiranger, Dekaranger, and Magiranger in both) Aside from depicting two more recent teams, both Shinkenger and Goseiger notably have a Super mode while both Boukenger and Go-Onger did not.
- As of this episode, the following Gokai Changes have not occurred in the series at some point:
- Marvelous is the only Gokaiger who has not transformed into a Black Ranger.
- Go-On Silver (on its own) is the only Sixth Ranger Gai has not transformed into.
- Sun Vulcan never had a change by three male Gokaigers.
- Zyuranger and Magiranger are the only Sentai teams with a Sixth Ranger that Gai has not joined with the main 5 for a full team Gokai Change (unless one counts the deleted scene of the full Zyuranger Change from episode 45).
- Dairanger, Megaranger, Boukenger, and Goseiger are the only Sentai teams that started with 5 team members that never had a 5-person team change prior to Gai's arrival.
- Hurricaneger, Gekiranger, and Go-Onger are the only Sentai teams that began with 3 team members that never had solely a 3-person team change (all had 5 or more participants).
- Abaranger never had a 4 or 5-person team change prior to Gai's arrival.
- Gekiranger never had a 4-person change that featured the original 3 and GekiViolet.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Final Live Show
- Gokai Changes in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Final Live Show:
- Gokai Red - MagiRed, Red Racer, Shinken Red (Hyper Mode)
- Gokai Blue - MagiBlue, Blue Racer, GingaBlue, Gosei Blue (Super Mode)
- Gokai Yellow - MagiYellow, Yellow Racer, Bouken Yellow, GingaYellow, GekiYellow (Super Mode)
- Gokai Green - MagiGreen, Green Racer, Go-On Green, DekaGreen (SWAT Mode)
- Gokai Pink - MagiPink, Pink Racer, Bouken Pink, GingaPink, MagiPink (Legend Mode)
- Gokai Silver - MagiShine, Signalman, Go-On Wings, Gold Mode
- As of this live show, Zyuranger is the only Sentai team with a Sixth Ranger that Gai has not joined with the main 5 for a full team Gokai Change (unless one counts the deleted scene of the full Zyuranger Change from episode 45).
- This is ironic, as Zyuranger was the Sentai series to feature the first official Sixth Ranger.
- Similar to the Gingaman Change from episode 47, this live show features a special Carranger Gokai Change by having Gai use the Signalman Key alongside the main Gokaigers as Carrangers. Even though Signalman was not an official Sixth Ranger, he was still the Carranger's Sixth Hero.
- The Super Ranger Change in this live show consists of the exact same Rangers that were used in the previous Super Ranger Change from the Gokaiger's final episode.
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen
- Gokai Changes in Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen:
- Gokai Red - Red1, NinjaRed, DenziRed, MagiRed, Shinken Red, Spade Ace, Battle Japan, GekiRed, Akarenger, Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo
- Gokai Blue - Kamen Rider OOO Shauta Combo
- Gokai Yellow - Kamen Rider OOO Latorartar Combo
- Gokai Green - Kamen Rider OOO Gatakiriba Combo
- Gokai Pink - Kamen Rider OOO Putotyra Combo
- Gokai Silver - Kamen Rider OOO Sagohzo Combo
- 8 out of 9 of Marvelous' solo Gokai Changes in this movie are tied to either a Kamen Rider he faces or the changes made by the Kamen Ride Cards used by Tsukasa.
- Gorenger vs. Kamen Rider 1: Both are the first of their respective series.
- J.A.K.Q. vs. Kamen Rider Blade: Both have playing cards as major aspects of their respective universes. Also, both heroes use the Ace of Spades as their motif.
- Battle Fever J vs. Kamen Rider Hibiki: Both have a connection to Japan or Japanese culture (Hibiki is based on the legends of the Japanese "oni" demons) and both heroes are performing artists (dancer and drummer) who use stick-like weapons (Battle Japan's bat and Hibiki's drumsticks).
- Denziman vs. Kamen Rider Fourze Elek States: Both are more science-based themes and are connected to the element of electricity.
- Bioman vs. Seven Legendary Riders: 7 out of 8 of these heroes gained their powers through scientific configuration. Amazon is the only exception, as he received his powers from a mystical chief.
- Kakuranger vs. Seven Legendary Riders: N/A
- Magiranger vs. Kamen Rider Fourze Fire States: Both use the element of fire as their primary attack.
- Gekiranger vs. Kamen Rider Ryuki: Both can summon an animal to attack (GekiTiger and Dragredder) and is a reference to the Tiger vs Dragon motif common in East Asian cultures.
- Shinkenger vs. Kamen Rider Diend: Both were the stars of the previous Kamen Rider/Super Sentai crossover.
- This is the first time the Gokaigers transform into non-Super Sentai Rangers.
- Like the All-lion change and Basco-stolen Greater Power change, Ahim is the only one to not be her own color, this time because there is no pink among any of OOO Combos. However, the Tricera Medal is, out of the 3 purple Core Medals, the closest to being pink.
- This is the second time Ahim has transformed into a previously evil character with a dinosaur motif (the first time was in episode 17). Though Putotyra was evil in the "out of control" sort of sense as opposed to Mikoto's case.
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie
- Gokai Changes in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie:
- Gokai Red - GoggleRed, TimeRed, Shinken Red, VulEagle, DenziRed
- Gokai Blue - GoggleBlue, TimeBlue, VulShark, DynaRed
- Gokai Yellow - GoggleYellow, TimeYellow, VulPanther, GekiRed
- Gokai Green - GoggleBlack, TimeGreen, KabutoRaiger, FiveRed
- Gokai Pink - GogglePink, TimePink, KuwagaRaiger, MagiRed
- Gokai Silver - Shurikenger, Go-On Red, Gold Mode
- GokaiOh - DaiBouken
- GoZyuJin - Daizyujin
- Go-Buster Ace - GekiTohja, Flash King, RyuseiOh
- Buster Hercules - MagiKing
- Go-Buster Lioh - GaoKing, GaoKentaurus
- Both of the Gokai Changes used when the Gokaigers are "evil" involve teams who, like the Go-Busters, dealt with managing a new, futuristic energy source.
- Goggle V: Hightron
- Timeranger: Zeta-3 and Lambda 2000.
- This all-Red team change is the second time Luka and Gai have transformed into the following:
- Luka's first time transforming into GekiRed since Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger: Epic on Ginmaku/Ep. 40: The Future is the Past.
- Gai's first time transforming into a Red who isn't TimeFire (outside of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Let's Do This Goldenly! Roughly! 36 Round Gokai Change!!) since Ep. 48: The Fated Showdown.
- When fighting Bacchus Gill as Red Rangers, the Gokaigers pair up in 3 groups of 2 based on the weaponry of the Rangers they've transformed into.
- Joe and Don: Blaster sidearms.
- Luka and Gai: Sabers.
- Marvelous and Ahim: Boxing gloves.
- All of the Gokai Changes used by the Giant Robos through the Megazord Keys share something in common with the mecha they transform into.
- Go-Buster Ace as Flash King: Both are the only teams where its members gained superpowers without their suits (super speed, super strength, and super leaping), as well as the agile nature of both mecha.
- GoZyuJin as Daizyujin: One of GoZyuJin's forms, GoZyuRex, is the Zyuranger's Greater Power.
- Go-Buster Ace as RyuseiOh: Both are Robos that are formed from just the Red Ranger's mecha.
- Go-Buster Lioh as GaoKing: Both have a lion as its central component.
- Go-Buster Lioh as GaoKentaurus: Similar to how GaoLion is part of the Gaoranger's final mecha combination, Tategami Lioh is part of the Go-Busters' final mecha combination, Go-Buster King. This may also reference the fact that both Lioh and GaoLion have ridable forms.
- Buster Heracles as MagiKing: Hiroya Matsumoto, the actor who plays Masato Jin (Beet Buster), originally played Tsubasa Ozu (MagiYellow). As a possible inside joke, after Buster Heracles transforms into MagiKing, Masato comments that it "feels right".
- GokaiOh as DaiBouken: Both are Robos from an anniversary series.
- Go-Buster Ace as GekiTohja: Both are Jungle Cat-based mecha that include a Cheetah as part of their formation.
- With special transformation introductions for Sun Vulcan and Goggle V in this movie, 32 of the 35 pre-Go-Busters Sentai teams have now had a special Gokai Change introductions, including five of the first six Sentai teams.
- Only Denziman, Dynaman, and Bioman have never had a special introduction in any way, not even unintentionally as in the Turboranger change in episode 14 or in a solo transformation as in the five Basco-abducted teams as in episode 49.
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z
- Gokai Changes in Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z:
- Like the previous Super Hero Taisen film, the Gokaigers transform into non-Super Sentai heroes in this movie.
- Unlike the all-Kamen Rider OOO Combo Change, the Gokaigers each transform into a Metal Hero from a different series.
- Don is the only Gokaiger that does not change into a Metal Hero with the same color scheme or similiar shade of color.
- Gai becoming Go-On Gold in his fight against Skydain is a reference to how the Go-On Wings were a brother and sister duo like the Space Ironmen Kyodain.
Full-team Changes
Although the Gokaigers can change into any past Sentai Ranger, and use different combinations, like an all Red team TV STORY-Ep. 2: The Worth of this Planet and a black then white trio, TV STORY-Ep. 3: Changing Courage into Magic the Gokaigers normally just change into a past Sentai team with individual Gokaigers changing to their equivalents or closest analogues.

Gokai Changes by Set
- On several occasions, rather than changing into a past team, the Gokaigers change into Rangers all belonging to a particular motif, normally colors. There are also a few team-specific Gokai Changes that don't fit into the default configurations. The finale utilizes themes moreso than other episodes- having themed Gokai Changes in rapid-fire succession.

Reverse Gender Changes
If a Gokaiger switches genders with the original ranger, the outfit will take the traits of his or her gender's uniform as styled for the team, like how Dekaranger has slacks for both genders, but Zyuranger has tights (only) for men and skirts and tights for women.
Two noticeable gender changes of note:
- Since Sun Vulcan had no female Sentai heroes, a special VulPanther was utilized with a skirt, particularly with the multiple uses by Luka Millfy.
- Flashman is one of the only Sentai where the changes did not involve just adding a skirt: males had full colored leggings while females had white leggings (with the colored section of the suit resembling a leotard). Thus when Ahim used the Green Flash key and Joe the Pink Flash key, the changes were made accordingly.
Stageshow Gokai Changes
For the stageshows that coincide with and promote the TV show, the Gokaiger also do Gokai changes.

Notes
- Dengeki Sentai Changeman is the last Sentai team to receive a Gokai Change, as the Gokaigers didn't change into Changeman until Ep. 32: One Power, where Don was absent. The full change would later appear in Ep. 35: Dimension on the Other Side.
- MagiMother is the last Ranger to receive a Gokai Change, as Luka becomes MagiMother in Ep. 44: A Lovely Christmas Eve. However, Luka merely changed into MagiMother to make it snow, rather than for actual combat. MagiMother receives a second change in Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates, where it is Ahim who becomes MagiMother and fights.
- MagiRed is the only Red Ranger Key to be used in every all-Red Gokai Change of the series. Notably, all of MagiRed's uses in these all-Red Gokai Changes were by a female Gokaiger (four times with Ahim and once with Luka).
- Similarly, Shinken Red is used in every all-Red Gokai Change of the Stageshows (twice with Ahim and once each with Luka and Don).
- As the Gokaigers' suit actors have all played a number of past rangers before in a varying number of past Sentai series, they find themselves in their old roles thanks to the Gokaigers. In some cases, such as times when the Gokaigers change into rangers that are not their counterparts, it may well be as a matter of convenience due to the varying sizes and one suit actor being able to fit in to their old suits, such as the all-blue Gokai Change in Ep. 45: The Confused Ninja where all Gokaigers (bar Gokai Silver) changed into rangers that shared their suit actors. This theory, however, is limited by how many of the old suits survived in a condition to be used for Gokaiger (it's likely that most of the suits, even more likely for suits from the older shows, had to be remade for Gokaiger).

- The Gokai Changes of Gokaiger and the Kamen Rides of Kamen Rider Decade were noted by Narutaki as one of the similarities between Gokaiger and Decade in the Super Hero Taihen net movie The Grown-ups’ Narumi Detective Agency Ep. 1: Is Gokaiger a Ripoff of Decade?.
