Fogshell was a seashell/clam/shen-themed Sporix Beast and the eleventh Sporix Beast to awaken in Power Rangers Dino Fury. He worked under Slyther's command. Fogshell first appears in the episode "Super Hotshot" as a minor villain and one of the two main antagonists in the next episode "The Matchmaker", both of which are from the first season of Dino Fury.
History[]
Early life[]
Over 65 million years ago, Fogshell and the rest of the Sporix Beasts invaded Rafkon, the home planet of Zayto. Though he and his fellow Knights of Rafkon fought hard, the Sporix ravaged Rafkon and removed all traces of life from the planet. The Sporix then turned their attention to Earth but Zayto and the remaining Knights had managed to escape Rafkon and tracked the Sporix Beasts to Earth and engaged them in battle with the help of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Despite the Knights initially having the upper-hand against the Sporix, most of them grew enough in power over time to grow giant and force the Knights of Rafkon and their dinosaur allies to retreat. When all seemed lost however, the Morphin Masters arrived and bestowed the Morphin Grid's powers to Zayto and his followers as the first Dino Fury Rangers, which gave them the advantage they need to defeat the Sporix Beasts and seal them inside of their eggs.
Present Days[]
After the Rangers's fight against the Void Knight, he was among the many Sporix Beasts that escaped. 
TV STORY-Destination Dinohenge
Fogshell would hatch off screen somewhere at Evergreen Park. He was spotted by Warden Garcia, who called both the Ranger Hotline and his children about him. However, Izzy and Javi were confused as to why they didn't get a call from the hotline, so they went out to see what's going on. They teleport to Evergreen Park and see Fogshell allying with Slyther and Mucus. Despite his intent on joining Slyther in battling the Garcia siblings, with him commenting on how he's strong enough to fight, Mucus takes him back to the phone tower where the Hyper Hacker was.
He was at the Hyper Hacker while Mucus received the call from Amelia to a fake Sporix sighting.
The lure would work as Mucus and Fogshell teleported to Mercury Plaza as the Rangers tried to find a way to find the hacking device. While Mucus departs away, Fogshell fights the trio off, utilizing the sharp barbs that he extends for combat. Despite being outnumbered, Fogshell is able to hold his own against Zayto, Ollie, and Amelia, during which he lets out a dense fog that impairs the Ranger's visibility and almost causes Amelia to hit Ollie. With the trio distracted, Fogshell decides to make his exit. Once the fog clears, they see that the monster retreated. TV STORY-Super Hotshot
A few days later, a disguised Slyther overhears a conversation Javi had with Adrian and calls Void Knight at Area 62. Fogshell is in the background doing stretches and overhears his name as Slyther asks Void Knight to let him borrow Fogshell as part of his newest plan. Fogshell teleports down and emits a fog at the group. Zayto sends Adrian and Fern away so the Rangers can morph in private. A group of Hengemen attack the Rangers in the fog, but thanks to Slyther's Decepto-Beam, some of the Rangers attack each other under the belief they are Hengemen. To clear the fog up, Zayto uses the Blazing Dino Key to unleash a Blazing Fury Blast, clearing the fog while destroying some Hengemen. Fogshell curses Zayto for using his Blazing Battle Armor, promising this isn't over before he is whisked away by Mucus to retreat as the Rangers confront them, and they wonder why they ambushed them. Little do the Rangers know that Slyther got to Adrian earlier and captured him. This was part of the general's plan to get the Sporix Cells the Rangers had so far.
Fogshell would join Slyther and Mucus on the hand off with Javi. The Black Ranger gives Mucus the chest, though the latter was unaware that what she took was a fake. A disguised Ollie and Amelia attack Fogshell, distracting him and causing him to be in shock of why he's being attacked and why a teddy bear is there. This distraction was able to send him into a cart. A disguised Izzy then threw a broom at him which he doesn't dodge gracefully and falls back onto the ground. After the others freed Adrian, Fogshell joined Slyther in fighting them. Fogshell takes on Javi briefly. In the middle of his fight against Javi, the Beast grew, forcing Zayto, Amelia, and Ollie to summon their Zords. Fogshell emits another fog attack and Slyther uses his Decepto-Beam again. This causes the T-Rex Champion Zord to accidentally attack the Tricera Blade and Ankylo Hammer Zords, knocking them out of commission. Zayto calls for the Dimetro Blazing Zord which Fogshell swats away with his barbs quite easily. Zayto then combines the Dimetro Blazing Zord with the T-Rex Champion Zord to form the T-Rex Blazing Megazord. Using the fire from the Megazord, they overpower Fogshell, who couldn't stand the heat and clear the fog away when the latter tried to use it again. Afterwards, they defeat Fogshell with the Blazing Mega Strike, reverting him to his Sporix Cell form. Izzy grabs his Sporix Cell using the Sprint Dino Key before Slyther can get it. Fogshell participates at the invasion of the Sporix during the final battle against the Rangers and the Rafkonians. He fights along with Tidemare against the Rangers and the Rafkonians. During the battle, he defeats Orria and gravely injures Pop-Pop, who protected her. He is defeated off-screen by the Rangers (minus Amelia), his Sporix Egg was used by Void Queen to create Nemesis and after the Rangers' victory, he is imprisoned forever by Masters Red, Blue and Green in a crystal. Personality[]
Fogshell seemed to have a very dopey personality. He was childish as when Javi and Izzy attacked Slyther, he whined in a childlike manner wanting to fight against them as he was strong. He does prove to be a strong fighter against the Rangers, though he can be somewhat clumsy as when Izzy threw a broom at him and he easily fell down failing to dodge it. He seemed to be content with people running away from him in fear. Despite that, Fogshell can be scared when he is caught off-guard as he was easily taken down by a disguised Ollie and Amelia with him being in shock and losing some of his bravery. Despite seeming to have a low intelligence, he does seem to have the smarts to use his smokescreen ability to confuse his enemies and escape when he needs to.

- Fog Generation: Fogshell's primary ability where he can spray out a fog from the coral ports on his torso to conceal himself from his enemies.
- Illusion: With Slyther's Decepto-Beam, Fogshell's fog can make its enemies perceive things differently from what they truly are.
- Teleportation: Fogshell can teleport to any location in a purple energy column.
- Strength: Despite his design, Fogshell has a great deal of raw strength, strong enough to overwhelm the Rangers and later swat the Dimetro Blazing Zord aside with the strike of his blades when he grew giant.
- Durability: Being a seashell-themed Sporix Beast, Fogshell has hard skin that is tough enough to resist many attacks.
- Enlarging: Like most Sporix Beasts, Fogshell can enlarge himself through the energy he gains in battle over time.
Abilities[]
- Speech: Fogshell can talk although he lacks a visible mouth.
- Expert Fighter: Fogshell has proven to be a strong fighter, being able to hold his own against the Dino Fury Rangers without the need for backup.
Weaknesses[]
- Poor Heat Resistance: Fogshell is not resistant to heat, especially when it's been raised to scalding temperatures.

- Barb Blades: Fogshell has a pink barb on each arm that can extend into a blade for combat.
- Shockwave Slash: Fogshell can release red shockwave-like slashes from his barb blades.

Portrayal[]
- Fogshell was portrayed by Steven Lyons, who also played Doomsnake earlier in the show.
Design[]
- Fogshell's design appears to be based on seashells and clams with some coral reefs that serve as appendages. His design is also based on a shen, a shapeshifting dragon or sea monster in the form of a giant clam from Chinese mythology that is believed to create mirages.
Etymology[]
- Fogshell's name is a mix of the words "fog" and "seashell". The name is also a pun on the word "hard-shell".
Notes[]
- Fogshell is the first Sporix Beast to last two episodes while battling the Rangers. While Shockhorn did appear in two episode as well, his first appearance was merely a cameo at the end agreeing to work with Void Knight while he fought the Rangers in his second appearance.
- In contrasts to his Japanese counterpart Shen Minosaur, Fogshell lacks the ability to launch out fireballs from the coral ports on his head.
- Fogshell shares similarities with Toxipod from Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Smokescreen from Power Rangers Dino Charge:
- For similarities to Toxipod, they both utilize smoke-based powers for defense and are themed after a shell.
- For similarities to Smokescreen, they both utilize smoke-based powers for defense, debuted in a Power Rangers show that is themed on dinosaurs, and are named after something related to smoke.
- Fogshell is the first Sporix Beast to work under Slyther's command and to debut near the end of the episode, rather than at the beginning.
- Fogshell is the third dragon-themed monster-of-the-week/villain in the Power Rangers series to not have the ability to breath out flames and/or fireballs, or have any fire-based abilities and/or attacks as a whole, the first being Ruby Dragon of Power Rangers Dino Thunder and the second being Dai Shi of Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
- His name was originally going to be Bogshell, but they later replaced the letter "B" with the letter "F" for unknown reasons.
