This article is about an ally in Power Rangers Jungle Fury. |
Flit is a former enemy of Camille whom she cursed, turning him into an anthropomorphic fly. He must stay inside her stomach or die from being outside for too long.
History[]
Normally emerging during Zord battles, Flit monitors the Rangers' fight as a Battle Commentator. Regardless of who has the upper hand, Flit maintains a neutral standpoint and unbiased commentary. He's insulted Camille and often hurt her feelings when her plans fail, calling her the "ugly chameleon".
When the Overlords were being revived, Flit reveals he eats whatever Camille does, begging her to do so; this lead to her going to Jungle Karma Pizza, where Lily accidentally gave advice about "getting a new boss".
When RJ saves his life, Flit temporarily allies with the Rangers and helps RJ get control of his Animal Spirit but has to return to Camille when the curse over him causes him to weaken after being away from her for too long.
By the end of the series, Camille turned Flit back to his human form. Flit now works for RJ at Jungle Karma Pizza, although he still retains some of his insect characteristics. He also continues to narrate, something RJ finds amusing.
Personality[]
Flit is shown to be witty and smart for his small size having a complex relationship with Camille at times. She gets annoyed with his commentary but doesn't seek for anything bad to hurt him when she took him back from RJ and the Rangers when his time limit from being outside of Camille's stomach was nearly over and he was close to dying.
Flit has shown to be loyal especially to RJ given he saved him form being crushed by rubble and told the other Rangers about the evil spirit being sent into RJ causing his Wolf Spirit to go out of control and he aided Casey and the others in helping RJ to restore the bond and control over his Animal Spirit. Flit's loyalty is shown again when he saved the Crystal Eye of RJ's father Master Finn when he thought he was destroyed and assured RJ that he would find a way to free his father as a Pai Zhuq before he returned the Temple of Dai Shi. TV STORY-One Last Second Chance

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- Flit is voiced by Kelson Henderson.
Design[]
Flit's cursed form resembles a humanoid fly, but unlike an average one, he retains his human mind and "stands" on his hind legs. He has four other arms, often having as them crossed. He retains the clothing he wore as a human in his fly form, but modified to fit him. Flit wears a white shirt with two extra sleeves for his additional arms, along with blue overalls and seems to have glass-like spectacles between his eyes. After becoming human again, Flit hides his eyes behind black sunglasses or simply favors the look and his overalls appear to have a broken strap on his left side. He wears the Jungle Karma Pizza shirt under his overalls and wears the cap backwards.
Etymology[]
- Befitting of a fly, to flit is to flutter one's wings, as an insect or bird; to move swiftly and lightly.
Notes[]
- In "True Friends, True Spirits" the flashback of Flit fighting Camille shows him as a silhouette of an Asian man, yet in "Now the Final Fury" his appearance resembles an average American man.
- Flit's name may have been inspired by the insecticide brand of the same name, or from the hummingbird in Disney's Pocahontas.
- He is similar to Jenji as he can't leave Camille's stomach for too long or he'll fade away while Jenji can't leave his lamp for more than two hours or he'll turn to dust.
