Since Sun Vulcan, there have been moments in Super Sentai spread throughout its history where a dance accompanied the ending theme or some other song to entertain younger viewers and encourage them to join in. In later years, some of the dances became so popular that they were spread on social media and even got actors from other Toei superhero franchises or past Sentai seasons involved in performing them.

In several of the recent VS movies, the ending dances would be special ones exclusive to those movies.

Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan

An early prototype of things to come, in Sun Vulcan's Ep. 16: A Demon Runs the Schoolyard, the team danced with the children at a school to the song Kagayake! Sun Vulcan by Ichiro Mizuki and Koorogi '73. This would serve as a precursor to the ending theme dance tradition.

Hikari Sentai Maskman

One of the first full examples of a Sentai dance was in Hikari Sentai Maskman: The Movie where the team danced to Shot Bomber Zenryoku Shuuchuu by Hironobu Kageyama. The dance also appeared in some of the TV episodes.

Maskman Jet Cannon Zenryoku Shuuchuu Dance

A 1980s aerobics style dance, the dance is a bit complicated to follow on screen as the camera jump cuts away from the cast doing it to action shot clips or other scenes.

Dance Steps

1. Raise your hands in the air with your back facing away and your hands in a meditation-like fold.
2. Turn and spread your left leg and arm outward to the side then your right in time with the beat
3. On the lyrics "Do-re-mi fight! Fight! Maskman", face away again until the lyrics and then turn and raise your arms in time with the beat, lower them and then do a kick with your left leg.
4. Raise both arms into the air with your fists closed, then do a leaping kick step with your left leg, followed by a twist side to side while doing a pushing motion with your hands and arms.
5. Run at full speed and then leap with one of your legs kicking in the air.
6. Twirl around in a kata stance.
7. Upon the lyrics "Hyappatsu hyakuchuu senpatsu senchuu zenryoku shuuchuu" turn around and around while moving your arms in an open and closed motion, spreading them out and then closing them on your chest. Upon the lyrics "Hey Hey Hey!" rotate raising your arms up and down in a fist pumping motion.
8. Repeat steps 1-3 for the finale and then do a kata pose.
9. Upon the next set of lyrics, face away again, then raise your arms apart with your hands open.
10. Position your arms level to your chest, both arms should be bent and with your hands as closed fists.
11. Bob your knees and shuffle your feet to the left, while flapping your arms up and down at a 90 degree angle.
12. Repeat steps 1-3, this time with step 1, have your hands open instead of folded. Repeat step 7 again and then do 1-3 one more time and then pose once the music ends.

Choujin Sentai Jetman

A dance that was featured in a special. Kaori Rokumeikan, untransformed, does an aerobics style dance with her teammates. After finishing, she guides the audience through each of the dance steps, doing them slowly so the viewer can learn each step.

The dance is performed to the opening theme of the series Choujin Sentai Jetman by Hironobu Kageyama.

Jetman Dance Steps

1.Cross your arms and then crouch down, get up and then stretch your arms.

2. Stand with your right hand on hips. Upon the first three lyrics "Jetto Jetto Jettoman", raise your left arm and make a closed fist and punch to the side and raise your left leg and kick to the side at the same time thrice. Then repeat the same steps on your right side.

3. Crouch down upon the lyrics "Rettsu Gō!! Tobidase, ō!" and jump in the air with your arms stretched out, like a bird. Then put your hands on your hips and repeat step 2.

4. March backwards two steps, pose with your hands at your hips, then do the Cross Changer pose.

5. Top left: Spread and move your arms outward. Bottom Left: Then pose with your left arm against your chest with your left hand open. Top Right: Spread the left arm out, then your right in a "T" shape. Bottom Right: Then use your hands to touch the toes of your left foot, knee and then place it on your waist. Repeat on the right side.

Ninja Sentai Kakuranger

Dorodoros Dance

This dance is performed by the Dorodoros and Yokai during the ending credits to the ending theme Ninja! Matenrou Kids by Tu Chi Chen. This is one of the few times that the villains of a Super Sentai series exclusively dance to an ending theme as the Kakurangers did not participate and instead spent the last moments of the song chasing down a lone Dorodoro that failed to escape them.

Dance Steps

1. Spread arms outward, do a wave motion up and down.

2. Do a ninpo gesture and move arms side to side

3. Stand on one leg and do a kicking dance step.

4. Hold your knees with your hands and bend your knees in and out.

5.Stand up, with your hands splayed outward and do a two-step sideways to the right.

6. Turn sideways, swing your arms back and forth along with your right leg. Make "Scream" hand motions, moving them up and down near the sides of your face.

7. Do a Twist side to side, lowering yourself and then do a sideways downward dab to the left and right with your arms, then stand and face away from the crowd.

8. Top left: March in place. Top right: Pump your fists sideways, with your left above your head and your right fist near the waist. Bottom left: Prance to the right and tilt your head right then do the same to the left. Bottom right: Do a "spooky" pose as you turn around facing the crowd.

Denji Sentai Megaranger

During the summer months of Megaranger's original broadcast from Episode 21 to Episode 30, a second ending theme, Bomb Dancing Megaranger, was performed that reflected the annual summer festival celebrations in Japan. The Megarangers would perform a variation of a traditional Japanese bon dance to the music.

Dance Steps

1. Clap and then step to the left, then cross arms and step to the right and do an "Osu" pose.
2. Take your left leg forward one step. Stretch your right arm outward with your palm facing outward. Then rotate your arm upward and them back down to the side of your waist.
3. Rotate your right arm and then point your left hand at your wrist 3 times
4. Repeat Step 1
5. Step forward slowly, with one of your arms stretched out in rhythm to your feet.
6. When the song ends, do Kenta Date's Ranger pose.

Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger

The Rangers would dance during the end credits to the ending theme Midnight Dekaranger, performed by Isao Sasaki.

Performed by the Magirangers, MagiKing and sometimes some of the villains of Infershia to the song Jumon Kourin~Magical Force by Sister MAYO.

Dance Steps

1. Face away from who is watching, then run in place and turn while doing so slowly and moving both arms up and down from just below the shoulder.
2. Jump and then bend knees for a second, then step to the left and then to the right. Repeat step 2 and then jog in place again while jumping and raising one arm...

After the creation of the Super Hero Time official TikTok account, some Super Sentai and Kamen Rider actors performed the Magiranger ending dance alongside Hiroya Matsumoto, including, So Kaku, Kasumi Hasegawa, Yuna Hoshino, Oto Abe and Rikuto Kumaki.

Gatcha! Gosieger dance

Goseiger Ending Dance

Performed to the ending song Gatcha☆Goseiger, the dance featured the Goseigers and Datas, a brief scene of Nozumu "conducting" and backup vocals by their Tensouders.

Moune's cheerleader dance

Performed in Epic 11 to the song ☆Fight☆ by Mayumi Gojo. The song is a cheer song mixed with J-pop and the performance much like any cheerleader routine is done in time with the music.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters

Performed by the Go-Busters, Buddy Roids, and the staff of the Energy Management Center to the theme Kizuna ~ Go-Busters!. During the end credits of Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters, the team dances were mixed together.

Opening Dance: DVD and Blu-ray Bonus

Included as one of the home media bonuses, the Go-Busters opening dance was a part of the special feature called "Tokumei Missions". In "Tokumei Mission 6: Dance Edition Part 2", the Go-Busters practice and perform the opening dance to the second Go-Busters opening theme, Morphin'! Movin'! Buster Ship!.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger

Performed to the song Minna Atsumare! Kyoryuger and its variants by the Kyoryugers. As part of a way of promoting Kyoryuger, Toei asked people online to perform the dance on camera and submit the videos to them, marking the first time that Toei would highlight fans of Super Sentai via a social media campaign. Some of them were chosen by the staff and then shown during the end credits of an episode.

Minna Atsumare! Kyoryuger Dance

Dance Steps

The Kyoryuger dance is unique as it requires a different sequence of dance steps for each Zyudenryu and Guardians mentioned in the song, but with a repeating dance segment afterward. The dancers start by marching in place and then go through the list of 6 dinosaurs at a time. During the end credits of Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters, the team dances were mixed together.

Core dance steps:

Once done with the six Zyudenryu or Guardians of a verse, shuffle to the left and then the right. Then do a waving point 4 times with the left arm and then four with the right, then step forward twice and do a kick and walk back to the starting point. Do a short jump and then Daigo's hand pose before stretching the arms out to do a gliding airplane motion in a circle and then jumping in the air. Upon the lyrics "Whoa, oh oh, whoa oh oh!" jump up and down while arching one of your arms over your head and the other below your stomach and rotate to the opposite. Then step and step

Brave Dance Steps

1. Gabutyra: Make a "chomping" motion with your arms and hands like a T-rex's mouth.
2. Parasagun: Punch with your left arm, then your right. Spin around and then do a pose.
3. Stegotchi: Stomp legs side to side while swinging your arms.
4. Zakutor: Make sword slashing motions with your arms.
5. Dricera: Make a drilling motion with both your hands and index fingers, then cross them downward and then up in the air one at a time on your left then your right.
6. Pteragordon: Stretch your arms outward and make a rocking "gliding" motion while moving around in a standing position.
7. Ankydon: Make two fists and pound them in the air like hammers.
8. Bunpachy: Shake closed fists behind your head and then point and "shoot".
9. Plezuon: Pretend you are holding a ball with your hands close together, rotating your arms, then move forward and stretch your arms outward.
10. Bragigas: Make two fists and stretch your arms out back and forth and then up in the air.
11. Deinochaser: Make a motorcycle rev hand motion with you right hand while the other hand is a fist, pretending you are holding a motorcycle's handlebars.
12. Deinosgrander: Put both of your hands behind your back and bob side to side, like a mole coming out of the ground, then turn sideways and move your hands like shovels pitching dirt on the right and then the left.
13. Kentrospiker: Make two sword slashing motions like with Zakutor, then put your palms togehter and raise them them horizontally to the right and then to the left.
14. Stymero: Place your hands together into a "pillow" and sway back and forth, pretending you are sleeping.
15. Allomerus: Put one hand on your mouth and then use your other arm to make firebreathing motions from right to left two times using your left fingers to simulate the flames coming out.
16. Beyonsmo: Crouch, then stretch the right arm up, clutch your hands against your chest and then repeat with the left.
17. Ovirappoo: Bend your knees and sway your hips and butt side to side and clasp your hands together against your chest while making an innocent face to seem like you farted.
18. Igeranodon: Step your right leg to the side along with your right hand, which will be extending only its index finger in a "feathery" motion, then with your left. Then spread your arms and slowly clasp your hands together.
19. Tuperanda: Walk forward while doing a rocking gliding movement with your arms, then hold them straight in place at your hips while swiveling to the left and leaning a bit and then to the right.
20. Gurumonite: Bend over, stretch out your right arm and make a swirling motion with your index finger and rock your head in a dizzying motion and giving the facial expression you are dizzy.
21. Archenolon:Moving in a stiff and slow motion, flail your arms around at a fixed position.
22. Pukuptor: Make a balloon shape with your arms on your stomach and move side to side.
23. Futabain: Make moving claw hand motions with your hands with your arms raised while stepping left and then right.
24. Tobaspino: Do a standing lasso motion with your left arm while rocking your hips.

Guest performers

In Episode 24, the Hurricangers made a dance cameo to promote their 10 Years After movie. To promote the debut of Kamen Rider Gaim, Gaku Sano and the cast of the show danced twice in the credits, once with Team Gaim in Brave 31 and again with Kaito Kumon in Brave 32.

Taisei Saikai. Aoto Watanabe, So Kaku performed this dance to promote King-Ohger episodes 32 and 33. The dances were posted on the Super Hero Time official TikTok account.

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger

Performed by the Ninningers, Yoshitaka Igasaki, Tsumuji Igasaki during the end credits and theme Nan ja Mon ja! Ninja Matsuri! by Daiki Ise.

Dance Steps

1. Turn to your side and bend your knees
2. Return to a static position and then raise your arms above your head, joining both hands together with your index and middle fingers out and the rest of your fingers folded.
3. As your arms descend, make a "Ninpo" gesture in rythym to the lyrics ja-ja-ja-jāan! 4 times.
4. Move your hands up and down and bob your head to the lyrics Nin-ni-ni-nin-ninja ni ni nin ninja!
5. Shift your body to the right while leaning downward, with your right arm on your waist and your left arm streched downward.
6. Make "fireworks" with your left hand 3 times as you raise your arm up. One at the bottom, one at the middle and one above your head on the left.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 on your opposite side.
8. Bend left arm and raise it to chest level, making a closed fist and jump one step to the left then to the right while standing on one leg. Then turn in place clockwise.
9. Do the same steps opposite side, except jump to the right and then the left, then turn in place counterclockwise.

This dance proved to be popular on social media, as many people performed it online around the world including Peter Sudarso

To promote Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: 10 YEARS AFTER, the cast of Dekaranger joined the cast of Ninninger to dance with them.

During a stage play, GokaiRed, Red Buster, KyoryuRed and ToQ#1 performed the dance alongside AkaNinger. Hello Kitty danced along with Daiki Ise at a stage show.

Ryoma Takeuchi from Kamen Rider Drive performed it at one point.

Fuku Suzuki (as Ziin), and Hideya Tawada (as Rintarou Kagura) performed this dance which was posted on the Super Hero Time official TikTok account, to promote Kamen Rider Tycoon meets Kamen Rider Shinobi.

Dance Steps

Ver 1. : Close both fists, knock them against each other, lean forward and then do a pelvic thrust twice and then turn counterclockwise while swaying back and forth.

Ver 2.: Instead of the pelvic thrust movements, after knocking both fists together in a downward position, lean back and stretch your right arm with your fist still closed upward while your left is at shoulder length. Like with Ver. 1, the dancing movements go faster as the song speeds up.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger

Performed by the Ryusoulgers, KishiRyuOh, Ui Tatsui and her father Naohisa, Drunn Soldiers and Kleon during the credits and the theme Que Boom! Ryusoulger.

Online at Toei and Nippon Columbia's Youtube channels, staff members of both companies performed the dance as well as singers and actors. Many of the actors in the show also performed the dance either as their characters or as themselves online.

Dance Steps

1. Move hands in a locomotion rhythm and sway back and forth, facing left then shift to the right and repeat.
2. Stand face forward with arms outstretched and do an Egyptian style sideways hand motion with both hands.
3. Raise right arm upward and move it up and down while your left is downward and moving upward while doing a repeating step motion in a 360 rotation with your left leg while standing in place.
4. Then repeat steps 1-3 for the next set of lyrics.
5. Upon the lyrics "Yuuki, kibou itsu datte", raise the left arm with a closed fist to the air, then the right and then left again but facing outward straight ahead, all in time with each lyric. Then twirl around with your left arm still stretched out and raise it and then do a lasso motion while shaking your hips side to side and having your right hand on the side of your waist. Stretch out your left arm and facing it forward, rotate it with your hand open and outward in a circle and then do the same with your right.
6. Sway your arms side to side and then jump sideways and clap in the air to the left, then repeat the arm sway motions and do the same thing in the opposite direction. Repeat 3 times.
7. Shape your hands like dino claws and move them to the left while looking to the left. Take three steps to the right, then swing your "claws" left then go in the opposite direction.
8. Upon the lyrics "Run Run Run", run in place while waving your arms. Repeat the swaying and jumping step of the dance followed by the claw style walk and the running step, then as the song ends, do a fun pose.

At the start of the song,

• Red: Stand with your legs spread and then twist your knees and bend them down a bit and then back up while moving your arms up and down in a ladder climbing locomotion, with your hands open and positioned to the sky.
• Yellow:
• Green: Put your arms out in a "driving" movement position and do a kick step with your right and then your left foot.
• Blue: Spread your arms in an "airplane" like pose and jump, then repeat but with your arms in the opposite directions.
• Pink: Move your arms to your right breast , make a heart with your hands, then move the heart to left and move the heart to “thump”. Then raise your left arm and then right, with wrists on top of each other in the air and move your hands in a twist to simulate a helicopter propeller moving. Then lower your arms slowly.

In a first for the franchise, the dance is performed at the start of the show during the opening intro theme, Zenryoku Zenkai! Zenkaiger by Takeshi Tsuruno. The dance is performed by the Zenkaigers.

Following the opening dance trend from Zenkaiger and Donbrothers, King-Ohger also has an opening dance. It is performed by the main five King-Ohgers to the opening song Zenryoku King by Takayuki Furukawa.

Dance Steps

1. Bend your knees and then flex your left bicep in a curved upward position with your other arm positioned holding against the waist, then repeat the knee bend with your right arm flexing and left arm in the same at the waist position.
2. Bend your knees a third time but flex both arms after crossing them and then smile at who you are dancing for and point at them.
3. Lean a little bit forward and go into a still sprinters motion with your palms open and arms moving back and forth rapidly while running in place.
4. Stop and then stretch out your left a arm at a level angle with your palm open and facing outward, then your right. Make your legs slightly spread out.
5. Do a small hop with your legs putting them back in a standing position after putting your arms above your head quickly to clap your hands together.
6. Sidestep to the left and do a waving claw motion like a mantis, then the right and then pump your fists with both arms raised into the air
7. Do a variant of The Monkey

A special dance was used as the ending for episode 33, where the King-Ohgers and Kyoryugers performed a modified version of the King-Ohger and Kyoryuger dances to the insert song, Pride and Brave.

• Even though Zenkaiger is the first season to have an opening dance as a regular part of its season, it is not the first season to have an opening dance itself. The first ever season to have an opening dance of its own is Go-Busters, with the opening dance being included as a part of the home media bonus features.
• A controversy arose during the early airings of Kyuranger’s episodes, as Japanese parental advocacy groups voiced their outrage about the pelvic thrust movements of the original Kyutama Dance. The dance steps underwent a minor change afterward and the original stopped being televised in May of 2017.
• King-Ohger's opening dance video is the first one to be released on Nippon Columbia's official YouTube channel instead of Toei Tokusatsu's one, as well as the first one to not be region-locked. It is also the first video to include the dance tutorial at the end of it.
  • It is also the first opening dance since Go-Busters to not be used as a regular part of the season, and released as bonus content instead.
